Chapter 556: Chapter 567: Got the Wrong Person Again
On the way back to YODC City, Emma Campbell always wore a smile on her face, the kind of sweetness and happiness completely showing. Jas Brown helped her Aunt Mary and Uncle John, which made her happier than if he’d helped her directly. To others, what seed to be a very difficult task, Jas solved easily. When Aunt Mary thanked Emma Campbell and Jas Brown, it made Emma perfectly happy, thinking she definitely chose the right man. Even if she couldn’t beco his wife, she was willing to be his lifelong lover.
Back in YODC City, Jas Brown sent Emma Campbell back to his previous small ho, and then rushed back ho urgently. Now there was only Gina Lopez taking care of Little Violet at ho, and Gina was so busy that naturally he couldn’t stay out having fun.
Now there were only three people in the house, a scenario almost never seen since Jas Brown and Gina Lopez got married. Once Little Violet was asleep, it felt like there were just the two of them, making Jas and Gina sowhat uncomfortable with it.
The two sat in the living room, Gina leaned on Jas Brown’s shoulder, saying: “Charlotte has left, are you a bit unwilling to let go?”
Jas Brown gently stroked Gina’s hair, saying: “Charlotte should have her own life, I’m only happy for her, not unwilling to let go.”
Gina turned her head to look at Jas Brown with a smiling face, saying: “There are plenty of temptations in college, Charlotte is so beautiful, surely she’ll have many pursuers, what if she really falls for soone?”
Jas Brown t Gina’s gaze, saying: “If that’s the case, it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.”
“Would you be willing to let go?” Gina asked again, with a trace of tease in her expression.
Jas Brown rubbed his nose, saying: “I don’t deny, I’m sowhat of a chauvinist, if Charlotte hadn’t been so close to in the past, I wouldn’t feel reluctant, but now… I am a bit unwilling.”
Gina’s eyes flashed with a trace of disappointnt, but she quickly hid it, although Jas still noticed it, and he gently kissed her forehead, saying: “But unwillingness aside, I can’t delay Charlotte’s lifelong happiness, if she really finds true love, I will definitely support her. After all, I have you as my wife, monopolizing Charlotte would be irresponsible to her and also unfair to you as my wife.”
Gina’s face at this mont didn’t hide her smile, saying: “Then I really hope Charlotte can find a liked guy, her being with us now is indeed not very proper, it’s fine if others don’t know, but if they do know, who knows what they’ll say about us, social pressure would make unable to raise my head.”
Jas Brown nodded, saying: “I know, so I’ve never really had a relationship with her, just for this reason.”
“At least you’ve done well in this regard.” Gina praised Jas Brown with a sentence, but imdiately said sowhat resentfully: “My own husband gets close to other girls, I can’t say anything, since not even a real relationship occurred, I actually have to praise, what kind of wife am I?”
Jas Brown awkwardly smiled, saying: “It’s all my fault.”
“Forget it, we got married too hastily, those people were entangled with you beforehand.” Gina didn’t pressure Jas Brown this ti; things need to be cleared one step at a ti, the won around Jas need to be resolved one by one. Now that Charlotte had left, it’s already a good start.
Without Emily Lopez, without Charlotte, the two thought about having a good ti at night, but just after taking off their clothes and ready to start, Little Violet’s voice ca from outside the door: “Mom, Dad, I’m scared.”
Gina and Jas hurriedly put on their clothes anyhow, opened the door and took Little Violet in, Gina patting Little Violet’s back, saying: “Good girl, what’s the matter?”
“Mom, I don’t want to sleep alone, I’m scared.”
Jas Brown imdiately said: “What are you scared of? Dad and Mom are at ho.”
“It’s too dark, just alone, I won’t do it.” Little Violet shook her head, tightly hugging Gina’s neck.
Though Little Violet interrupted Gina and Jas’s mont, they had no choice but to let it go, after all, their daughter was important. They let Little Violet sleep in the middle, each one at her side, which made Little Violet extrely happy. She hadn’t slept in the sa bed with Jas and Gina before, so she couldn’t fall asleep right away. It took a long ti before she finally slept.
At this ti, Jas Brown and Gina Lopez were also a bit exhausted, plus having their daughter in between them, they didn’t proceed with anything further.
One or two days were fine, but Little Violet insisted on sleeping with Jas and Gina for four consecutive days, which made both Gina and Jas a bit frustrated. It’s not that they didn’t like Violet, but they had to have so space for intimacy. Plus, the little girl was a light sleeper, any sound at night would wake her up, so even if they wanted to get intimate while she slept, it was impossible. Hence, they tried to encourage Little Violet to sleep on her own.
However, the little girl would listen and be obedient in other things when praised, but she was completely uncompromising regarding this one thing, refusing to sleep separately.
The two initially thought that with no one else at ho, they could have a loving ti, who knew this kind of situation would occur, this made Gina sowhat nostalgic for the tis Charlotte was around. Back then Little Violet could sleep with Charlotte, and Jas and Gina could cherish their nights together, although cautious, not daring to make too much noise, it was better than achieving nothing now.
Yet, their daughter was still important, Jas and Gina could not just because they missed intimate nights, have any negative thoughts towards Little Violet. With the little girl around, it indeed added a lot of joy to the couple’s lives. Nights with the kid, the three could have pleasant walks downstairs, truly giving the feeling of a happy family of three.
Lately, lody Yoody was very busy, not even giving Jas Brown a call, and Helen Wilson, dealing with so unknown case, didn’t bother Jas either. So, Jas spent these days in tranquility, which was rare after his return to the city.
On Wednesday, Gina Lopez had to attend a provincial business eting, and wouldn’t be back until the next day, making it solely Jas Brown taking care of the child at ho. However, Jas didn’t struggle with it, he managed taking care of Little Violet smoothly, sending her to kindergarten in the morning, picking her up in the evening, cooking for her, bathing her, accompanying her to study, play gas, tell stories, and by 9:00 p.m., he had Little Violet asleep.
On the next morning, Jas Brown sent Little Violet to kindergarten again, worked half a day at the company, with nothing in the afternoon, he asked for leave, as Gina Lopez might return early today. It was a rare opportunity for the two, he naturally prepared well for it, so they could have a good intimate ti.
At around two o’clock, the sound of a key opening the door rang, and Jas Brown jumped up from the sofa, hurried to the door to embrace Gina Lopez as soon as she entered, first kissing her cheek, saying: “Wife, you’re back!”
Gina imdiately pushed Jas Brown, chiding: “What are you doing? Why aren’t you at work?”
“I just knew you would co back early, so I ca ho to wait for you, heh heh, it’s rare that it’s just the two of us today.” Jas said, touching Gina’s back.
Gina’s body suddenly went soft, leaning on Jas Brown’s chest.
Jas Brown wouldn’t hold back then; he had been yearning for days, he picked Gina up, rushed to the bedroom, threw her onto the bed, pinned her down, and kissed her passionately on the lips.
“No!”
When Jas heard these words, he was puzzled; this wasn’t their first ti, what’s the ‘no’ about?
“Brother-in-law… No!”
Upon hearing these words, Jas felt stunned, imdiately jumping up, looking at the person on the bed, at this mont no longer discerning whether it was Gina or Emily.
“Brother-in-law, you’re annoying.” Emily Lopez pouted, giving Jas Brown a flirtatious glance.
Jas Brown was truly at a loss for whether to laugh or cry, but suddenly the sound of the key unlocking was heard again, both he and Emily’s faces changed drastically, evidently Gina Lopez had really returned.
