But lody Yoody just sat there, glaring at John Brown. She didn’t explode like John imagined, which only made him more anxious, not knowing when lody Yoody would actually lose her temper.
On either side of John sat Gina Lopez and Emily Berns. It was like two camps, with John in the middle, making him feel completely uneasy.

Emily Berns smiled slightly and said, “Since everyone’s here for Jas, let’s go to our ho, his and mine.”
Gina Lopez didn’t object and said, “Sounds good.”
Upon arriving at Emily Berns’ ho, as the hostess, she imdiately greeted everyone and said to John, “Jas, bring a few more pairs of slippers from the changing room.”
Though it was a simple statent, she was declaring that John was also the man of this house.
John quickly went to get the slippers, while Charlotte was busy back and forth. That girl was quite smart, realizing that this ti she and Emily Berns were facing very strong opponents. She adjusted herself to the best battle state, determined to help Emily Berns defeat these rivals today.
As everyone settled into the living room, Emily Berns smiled and said, “I usually don’t have guests here. Ever since Jas moved in, it’s been livelier. I’m glad you all could visit our ho, so please make yourselves comfortable.”
Sandra snorted and said, “Don’t worry, we won’t stand on ceremony. My brother-in-law is coming ho in a couple of days, so when you co to visit the kids, we’ll be sure to entertain you warmly.”
Gina Lopez tugged at Sandra and smiled at Emily, saying, “Emily Berns, my sister is outspoken, please don’t mind.”
Emily Berns gave a sugary smile and said, “Of course not. After all, you’ve lived with Jas for a while.”
Charlotte imdiately chid in, “Exactly! That was only temporary. Only Sister Grace will live with Uncle forever.”
Gina Lopez frowned slightly and said, “Charlotte, why do you have such a big opinion about ?”
Charlotte blushed. Gina had actually been quite good to her, even knowing she liked John during their high school exams and having him watch over her when her family was in trouble. Charlotte’s attitude towards Gina might seem ungrateful, but compared to Emily Berns, she clearly leaned towards supporting Emily Berns in her heart. Pouting slightly, she said, “I don’t have a problem with you. I’m just expressing where I stand; I support Sister Grace.”
“Why is that?” Gina was quite curious.
Charlotte puffed up her chest and said, “Because Sister Grace promised that if she were with Uncle, she’d let be with him too.”
Gina imdiately understood and turned to Emily Berns, saying, “Emily Berns, you’re really generous.”
Emily Berns smiled lightly and said, “Grace and I get along well. She likes Jas so much, I don’t want to ruin things between them.”
Emily Berns and Charlotte were in perfect harmony, leaving Gina and lody Yoody stunned. Even if Gina and lody had ford an alliance, neither had considered sharing John. They still intended to see who would be the last one standing, while the other side had already started playing doubles.
Emily Jenkins exaggeratedly yelled at John, “Big Brother Brown, you’re amazing, even managing a double team.”
John gave a sweaty smile and glared at Emily Jenkins, saying, “You, go sit to the side.”
Emily Jenkins chuckled, “I won’t say anything more; I’ll just watch,” then unceremoniously grabbed an apple and started eating. Truly a foodie.
Seeing everyone’s shocked expressions, Emily Berns held Charlotte’s hand and said, “It’s not about being generous. Grace and I are like sisters, being together with Jas makes us happy. As you can see, our house isn’t that big, our daughter has a room, and the three of us have always lived together.”
Gina’s mouth twitched slightly and looked at John. John shrugged and said, “It’s not true.”
Gina felt relieved, while Emily Berns lightly chuckled and said, “Jas, even though it’s not now, I wouldn’t mind in the future. Right, Charlotte?”
Charlotte nodded repeatedly, saying, “That’s right, we will definitely team up with Uncle in the future. I wholeheartedly agree.” Then she proudly lifted her chin at Gina.
Sandra glanced at Emily Berns and Charlotte, then at Gina, before finally landing her gaze on John. Her expression turned a bit peculiar, but since everyone was paying attention to John, Gina, Emily Berns, and Charlotte, no one noticed her.
lody Yoody rolled her eyes at John but said to Emily Berns, “Emily Berns, using these tricks is useless. Who Jas ends up with is his choice. These little tricks can’t fool us. I might say that Gina and I could double with Jas too.”
John imdiately felt at a loss for words, as lody Yoody said sothing so out of character, bringing Gina into it as well. It surpassed his understanding of lody. Reflecting that lody and Gina appeared here together, it seed they had reached so kind of understanding.

True to her official status, lody Yoody spoke assertively, leaving Emily Berns looking upset and suddenly asking John, “Jas, make a decision: do you want to be with your daughter and , or with your wife?”
Charlotte imdiately grabbed John’s arm and shook it, “Yes, Uncle, are you going to be with Sister Grace, and and Emma, or stay with your wife?”
lody’s mouth twitched slightly and said, “Emily Berns, you’re really impressive; not only did you manage to win over this young girl, but also another one. You’re good at forming alliances.”
Emily Berns smiled proudly and said, “Yes, Emma and Charlotte don’t compete with . Being with Jas is enough for them, so I have to help them. If you don’t care about so official status, I won’t fight you. How about that?”
lody snorted, “If you don’t care about official status, I’ll give you a spot.”
Emily Berns giggled and said, “I can’t take your attitude. Right now, we are three against two, definitely leading.”
Charlotte also said smugly, “That’s right, three against two, a sure win.”
lody Yoody and Gina Lopez were both proud won. Coming here, they didn’t intend to conflict but to help John take the child. Who knew that as soon as they t, things just didn’t go well, and they started clashing. Emily Berns and Charlotte were good at lazy tactics and didn’t engage in reasoning, which left lody and Gina at a disadvantage.
Sunny Nguyen saw that Gina’s side was at a disadvantage and was about to speak when Sarah Utah suddenly said, “We’re three people too, including here.”
Everyone imdiately looked at Sarah, whose face turned as red as blood. She bit her lip and still said, “I support Mr. Lopez. If numbers matter, I’m willing to be the naless mistress and be with Big Brother Brown.”
Everyone knew Sarah liked John. Both Gina, Sunny, and lody were aware, but none expected Sarah to say sothing like this now. The seemingly timid and pure girl was always the one to stand up for John at critical monts, like the ti she confessed after he was taken by the police.
