38: Chapter 37 Director 38: Chapter 37 Director Flight attendants are usually tall, and the one standing in front of was no exception.
At that mont, she was wearing black high heels, asuring over 1.7 ters tall.
Flight attendants generally maintain good figures, and she was exceptionally attractive.
Her uniform accentuated the beauty associated with flight attendants, elevating it several levels in people’s minds.
Her face was round, with exquisite features proportionally arranged on her face.
Maybe her eyes, her nose, and her mouth weren’t perfect on their own—her lips might even be considered a bit thick—but together, they made her incredibly attractive, and her slightly thick lips only added to her sexiness.
However, this flight attendant was visibly on guard, stepping back and hiding behind her suitcase.
Jas Brown lifted the groceries he was carrying and said, “I live here too, in the middle unit on the sixteenth floor.
Sorry, I admit I was a bit srized by such a beautiful flight attendant.
Please don’t take it the wrong way.”
Although beautiful, Jas imdiately realized that this flight attendant wasn’t his type.
Being so pretty yet continuing to work as a flight attendant suggested innocence, not soone frivolous.
Realizing this, he could only look but not touch, and he felt more at ease speaking to her.
“Ah?
You live on the sixteenth floor too?” The flight attendant widened her eyes at Jas, still wary of him.
Jas imdiately smiled and said, “I heard soone next door yesterday.
So it was you.
Hello, neighbor, my na is Jas Brown.”
“I…
I didn’t say I live on the sixteenth floor.
Are you spying on ?” She stepped back again, guarding her chest with her hands.
Jas couldn’t help smiling and replied, “Did you just use the word ‘too’?
Doesn’t that an you live on the sixteenth floor too?
I’ve never seen you in this building before, so that must an you’re from the sixteenth floor, right?”
“Oh…” The flight attendant seed to relax a bit but still maintained a distance from Jas.
Jas shook his head, picked up her suitcase, stepped up the stairs, and then set it down again, saying, “The inside is flat; you can pull it from here.” Then, he headed straight for the building.
“Ah!
Thank you!” It wasn’t until they were inside the elevator that Jas heard her thank him.
However, he did not wait for her, since she was cautious around him, and he felt no need to bother her further.
Just as Jas entered his apartnt, his cell phone rang with a completely unknown number.
Upon answering, he instantly recognized the voice of Sunny Nguyen and smiled, having t her earlier today.
He knew she must be restless and would look for him tonight, though he hadn’t expected it so soon.
“Miss Nguyen, yes, it’s .
Is there sothing you need?”
“Um…
Do you have ti today?
I would like to talk to you.”
“I was about to cook, maybe later?”
“I invite you to dinner.”
“Okay then,” he responded, intrigued.
“Where?”
“At H Park near N Street.
I’ve already reserved a spot on the second floor of Magnolia Hall.”
“Alright, I’ll be right there.”
Jas tossed the groceries on the shoe rack and walked out.
As the elevator doors opened, the flight attendant was struggling to pull her suitcase out.
Jas smiled at her as he passed by and entered the elevator without further conversation.
The flight attendant smiled back and seed about to say sothing when the elevator doors closed.
“Really?
Not even offering to help, so neighbor,” the beautiful flight attendant mumbled under her breath as she hauled her suitcase toward her apartnt, ignoring the caution she had shown towards Jas earlier.
Twenty minutes later, Jas arrived at H Park, an understatedly elegant restaurant.
Led by the waiter, he went straight to Magnolia Hall.
Upon entering the room, he saw Sunny sitting on the sofa, her expression unnaturally tense as she greeted him and then asked the waiter to start serving the al, leaving them alone in the room.
“Miss Nguyen, for soone as important as you to invite , a re employee, out to dinner, I’m truly flattered,” Jas said cheerfully as he sat down at a table ant for ten, an evident extravagance for just two.
Hearing this, Sunny felt a twinge inside.
Jas had pointed out their difference in status, emphasizing she was a high-ranking director and he was just a lowly employee, which ant he was not afraid of those with more power.
The harder to handle were those without much to lose, not those with connections, as they too had their reservations when acting.
Although Sunny Nguyen had already speculated on all the possible reactions Jas Brown might have before he arrived, the way he reacted was within her expectations.
However, when she actually faced him, she still felt nervous, since he had sothing on her.
She managed to muster a smile, Sunny said, “I’m pretty much like you, just soone working for others.”
“Co on, Miss Nguyen, don’t joke about it.
You are the director, powerful and influential, earning a lot, and you have so many people trying to please you in the office.
It’s not like , a complete newcor who everyone can step on.”
Sunny quickly replied, “If you encounter any difficulty at work, you can co to , I will certainly do my best to help you.”
“How could I?
You take such care of ; wouldn’t that make people think there’s sothing between us?” Jas said while giving Sunny a wink.
Sunny was instantly thrown into disarray, knowing that her connection with Jas was a weak point.
If others knew about her relationship with Jas, she would no longer have the face to work at the company.
At this mont, the waiter knocked and ca in, and the dishes arrived like flowing water.
In a short while, six dishes were presented and the red wine was poured for the two, before the staff cleared out.
While this was happening, Sunny also composed herself from the nervousness she had felt upon seeing Jas, smiled and said, “Please go ahead, I don’t know if the dishes are to your taste.
If not, we can order others.”
“No need, there’s too much for just the two of us,” Jas had been very relaxed since he arrived, as if there was never any issue between him and Sunny, and he did not show the usual respect seen in front of a leader.
This was exactly what made Sunny feel hard-pressed.
Watching Jas eating and drinking leisurely while she could hardly swallow anything, rely nibbling symbolically.
When Jas was almost done eating, she looked at him slowly and said, “You should know why I called you here, right?”
“I do,” Jas wiped his mouth.
“Mr.
Lopez has taken a liking to .
He wants to keep .”
Sunny imdiately frowned.
If it were anyone else, she would have turned hostile the mont such frivolous words were spoken, but facing Jas, she felt totally unable to lose her temper.
“Mr.
Brown, don’t be angry, I’m just joking.
I know you’re worried about what happened between us that night.
I won’t speak about it,” Jas said as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it.
He wasn’t a frequent smoker, but he liked to indulge occasionally.
Sunny took a deep breath and said, “Exactly, that’s what I ant.
Tell your demands.
I will fulfill them as best as I can, but I must also tell you that although I am a director and I used to work at the headquarters, I have just bought a house last year, and I really don’t have any savings, so I hope you won’t drive too hard a bargain.”
Jas took a satisfying drag from his cigarette and looked at Sunny with a smile, “Miss Nguyen, are you starting to plead poverty?”
“Indeed, I am trying to seal your lips, but my ans are quite limited.
If your demands are too harsh, I truly wouldn’t be able to agree.
Worst case, I would just quit this job and start over at another company, and switching jobs wouldn’t be too difficult with my skills.”
Seeing Sunny negotiating in this manner, crying poor and making threats, Jas found it quite amusing.
Usually, after a one-night stand, won would cling, but this ti, he had encountered soone who was afraid of him clinging, and yet stood to gain much from it.
“Say it, what are your demands?” Sunny spoke, devoid of a solid footing but tried to appear very composed as she asked.
Jas looked at Sunny, shook his head and said, “Sorry, I don’t want your money.”
Sunny’s face changed at once, the shaless were the hardest to deal with, and in fact, she would have preferred if Jas had asked for money.
“Then what do you want?” Sunny asked in as calm a voice as she could manage.
Jas suddenly stood up, walked straight over to Sunny, leaned over, and looked down at her as her body leaned slightly backward, looking up at Jas.
This posture made her very uncomfortable, feeling oppressed by Jas, making her feel passive.
She wanted to stand up but didn’t want to co into contact with Jas, so she had no choice but to maintain her current posture.
Jas sniffed lightly, coating his actions with a certain lewdness, smiled and said, “Miss Nguyen, actually, I want to tell you, you really are very charming.
I’ve been reminiscing about that crazy night a lot in these past few days.”
Sunny’s face flushed red.
She too had been reminiscing, but upon seeing Jas again, she no longer had the mood to reminisce.
She clenched her fist and said with a stiff face, “I want you to forget about that night.
Just state your conditions.”
Jas chuckled and said, “Alright, I’ll make one condition.
If you agree, I will keep this matter to myself and will absolutely not let a third person know.”
Sunny quickly said, “Tell .”
Jas revealed a rather sleazy smile and said, “Heh, my condition is… we keep this relationship going.”
