36: Chapter 35 Integrating into Small Community_2 36: Chapter 35 Integrating into Small Community_2 Sarah beca even more embarrassed, her head almost hanging down to her chest.
Jas imdiately chuckled and said, “Ms.
Berk, don’t flatter like that.
I’m just a poor guy without a house or a car, how could I be worthy of Sarah?”
When Jessica heard this, she imdiately shook her head and sighed, “Then it’s not going to work.
A beauty like Little Sarah definitely needs to find soone from a good family.
But Little Lee, you seem not bad either.
How about I introduce soone to you later?”
Jas was taken aback and quickly said, “No need, no need, Ms.
Berk.
With my situation, marrying would be like setting soone up for a fall.
Let’s wait until my job is more stable and I at least have so savings, maybe even a down paynt.
Otherwise, who would want to just rent a place and live with ?”
Jessica nodded and said, “You’re right.
Nowadays, not having a car is one thing, but not even having a house really isn’t great for finding a girlfriend.”
At that mont, Andrew Brown returned, and everyone began to work.
Jas too started reviewing docunts as if seriously.
After a while, William Clark walked in, closed the door of the office, and said softly, “Have you guys heard?
We’re getting a new person in our company.”
Jessica imdiately asked, “Another person?”
“They’re being sent from the headquarters, and apparently, they are coming directly to our company to be the Financial Director.”
“No way, doesn’t that an they’re going to take over the financial powers of our company?
Did Mr.
Lopez agree?” exclaid Andrew in surprise.
William imdiately said, “Mr.
Lopez must have agreed.
Who knows what our company is going to turn into now.”
Within the company, drivers often had the best information, so nobody doubted what William said.
Everyone felt a bit solemn, since previously, the highest financial position in the company was the Finance Manager that Gina handled.
It had been no problem for Gina to arrange raises.
But now, with a Financial Director coming, who knew if bonuses would be as substantial as before?
Jas wasn’t concerned; at least now he was making more money at JYPP Region Company than he did as a security guard, and the work was certainly easier.
Besides, he was always soone who went with the flow.
If things didn’t work out at JYPP, he could always go back to being a security guard—as long as he didn’t starve.
The next morning, the logistics departnt’s team of four went to report their inspection findings to Emma Davis.
After the eting, everyone returned to the logistics departnt.
There, William Clark was excitedly chatting with Ryan Easton.
Seeing the others enter, he exclaid even more excitedly, “Big news, big news!”
Jessica gave him a look and said, “You always have big news, which turn out to be trivial matters.”
William imdiately said, “This is really big news.
Did you know?
The new Financial Director who ca to our company is a beautiful woman, and she’s very young, only 27 years old.”
Jessica, hearing this, beca even less interested and pursed her lips before returning to her desk, while Andrew’s eyes lit up, “Really?”
William smirked and said, “Mr.
Brown, even if she’s beautiful, what could you possibly think of?
Be careful or your wife will have you kneel on a washboard when you get ho.”
“Hehe, I may not have any ideas, but I can still look a bit more, right?
Little Sarah’s arrival at our departnt ans you two shouldn’t keep wandering into other offices when you’re free.”
Sarah imdiately blushed and lowered her head, while William and Ryan burst into laughter.
William then said to Sarah, “Little Sarah, don’t take it to heart, we’re all like your brothers here, none of us have bad intentions towards you.”
Sarah softly said, “I know,” but her ears turned red.
William then said, “Today, I went to pick up the Director, and she is so beautiful, not even slightly inferior to Gina Lopez.
Her figure, her appearance…
while I was driving, I got distracted several tis.”
Andrew leaned in close to William and asked, “Is she really that beautiful, or are you just exaggerating?”
William pouted, “Co on, you don’t believe ?
She’s right now in Gina Lopez’s office, go see for yourself if you don’t believe .”
“Go away, why would I go to Gina Lopez’s office for no reason?
Looking for a scolding?”
“Well, you’ll see her eventually.
Don’t go weak at the knees when you do, Mr.
Brown.”
“Go on, do you think I’m as hopeless as you two?”
Jas went down to check on the company, so he wasn’t very familiar with these three from logistics, but hearing them talk endlessly about beauties did seem to fit well with his temperant.
At this mont, he chid in, “For a 27-year-old beauty to beco a director is quite impressive.”
Andrew and the others weren’t opposed to Jas joining the conversation.
Ryan proudly said, “Little Lee, she’s really impressive, but compared to our Gina Lopez, she falls a bit short.
Our Gina Lopez is only 25 this year.”
Talking about Gina, the three n’s eyes filled with admiration and esteem, bereft of any sleazy looks or expressions, which says a lot about the high esteem Gina holds in the company.
Just then, Emma Davis walked in.
Everyone quickly shut their mouths.
Emma spoke directly to Sarah, “Little Sarah, go to the 14th floor and set up the office for the Financial Director.
Also, see if the director has any particular requirents and get them arranged.
Little Lee, help Little Sarah out.”
Sarah and Jas quickly agreed, and Emma imdiately left.
William cast an envious glance at Jas and said, “Little Lee, you’ll see the new director soon.
Make sure to report back to them so they don’t accuse of bragging.”
Jas grinned and said, “Sure thing, I’ll see if I can even snap a photo of her.”
The three n chuckled lewdly.
Jas had truly beco part of their circle.
With Sarah, Jas reached the 14th floor.
The third office from the inside was the Financial Director’s, still unmarked.
They knocked on the door, and a pleasant female voice ca from inside, “Please co in.”
Hearing the voice, Jas’s heart skipped a beat.
It sounded oddly familiar.
Recalling who it could be, his expression turned exceedingly strange—it was her…
