35: Chapter 35 Integrating into the Small Community 35: Chapter 35 Integrating into the Small Community On this day, Jas Brown and Sarah Utah had checked two warehouses again, but the warehouses they inspected today were relatively small, so the workload was much less.

They returned to the office before three o’clock, and Sarah began organizing the materials and working on the summary.

Jas sat beside Sarah to help her, and also to learn so things.

It was likely that Emma Davis had arranged for Jas to learn from Sarah because she probably wanted Jas to take over Sarah’s job in the future.

After all, it didn’t seem quite right for a girl like Sarah to inspect warehouses.

After two days of interacting, Sarah had a pretty good impression of Jas.

At the very least, he had always treated her with respect, never bullied her, nor taken advantage of her.

Of course, the most important thing was that Jas had once saved her from so hooligans.

So, in just two short days, Sarah had co to trust Jas greatly.

Even when he sat beside her, she could feel more at ease.

Once the summary was finished and they were the only two left in the logistics departnt, the two drivers were out, probably chauffeuring so executives, while Andrew Brown and Emily Smith had not returned.

“Finally done,” Sarah leaned back in her chair, stretching her arms, her chest prominently displayed.

Such a movent was quite tempting, especially when a delicate girl like Sarah did it, adding an extra shock factor.

Jas couldn’t help but take a few more glances.

Sarah noticed Jas’s gaze and quickly sat up straight, her face turning slightly red.

Jas imdiately smiled and said, “That stretch, it looked quite good.”

Sarah hadn’t expected Jas to not only look but also comnt directly, and blushed, unsure of how to respond.

Jas chuckled again and said, “I didn’t an anything by it, just simple appreciation.”

Sarah saw that Jas’s eyes were very clear and imdiately relaxed.

She was indeed of the age to have a boyfriend but because she was pretty, the n who approached her often looked at her with a discomforting gaze, which over ti had made her quite wary.

“Mr.

Brown, you were a security guard before, how did you suddenly end up in our company?

Our company wasn’t recruiting,” Sarah queried.

Sarah was younger than Jas, so out of politeness, she still called him “Mr.

Brown.” Girls tend to be a bit curious, and Sarah was quite intrigued about how Jas ca to work at JYPP Region.

Jas smiled lightly and said, “I was arranged by Mr.

Lopez.

I had helped him out before.”

“Oh…” Sarah nodded and said, “If Mr.

Lopez arranged it, then you must be capable.

He’s the least sentintal person.

All over the company, I’ve never seen him put any relatives into positions, unlike those at the headquarters, always sending people to our branch office.”

“It looks like you’re sowhat dissatisfied?” Jas asked with a smile.

Sarah pouted and said, “Of course I’m dissatisfied.

Those people co here, lack ability, do a poor job, and so hardly even show up for work, yet they earn just as much.

It’s not just ; everyone is pretty unhappy.”

Jas had not expected such complex personnel relations within the company and said, “Can Mr.

Lopez tolerate such things?”

Sarah pursed her lips even more and said, “Mr.

Lopez naturally doesn’t like it, but those are arrangents from above, and he has no choice.

Moreover, I think the company is getting better and more people will want to co to our JYPP Region Branch Office.”

Jas widened his eyes and said, “Isn’t that just taking advantage of our company?”

Sarah spoke even more angrily, “Exactly.

That’s why those of us who work hard in the company feel extrely aggrieved.

Why should we work hard, devoted to the company’s developnt, while they do nothing and reap the benefits?”

“That’s really not a good thing, I’m afraid those of us who work earnestly will feel increasingly discontented,” Jas classified himself among the hardworking ones, though it seed he hadn’t done any substantial work yet and whether he would be able to in the future was unclear.

“Yes, if it weren’t for Mr.

Lopez here, nobody would be willing to work so hard.”

Jas also had a righteously indignant look, saying, “Right, if Mr.

Lopez weren’t here, I wouldn’t work hard either.” But unlike Sarah, who felt it deeply, he was just going along with her.

“So tired, huh, you two got back pretty quick,” Emily Smith returned just as they were talking and started to complain as soon as she entered.

“Ms.

Smith,” Jas and Sarah greeted together.

Emily Smith ca to their desks, smiling at the pair, “Hehe, working as a male-female team seems less tiring, unlike working alone, so boring.

Little Sarah, how about next ti letting Little Jas accompany Ms.

Smith?”

Sarah’s face flushed red instantly, and she stamred, “Ms.

Smith, you… don’t joke around, there’s nothing between us.”

Emily Smith chuckled, “Look at you, such a grown girl, and you blush at a joke.

But honestly, Little Jas is about your age, and I think you two are quite a match.

It wouldn’t be bad if you dated.”
