167: Chapter 167 Ran Away Again 167: Chapter 167 Ran Away Again After a busy day, Jas Brown finally got ho a little past six.

As soon as he opened the door, Emma Campbell greeted him wearing a small apron, with her hair tied back in a ponytail and dressed in a petite nightgown that looked both elegant and cute.

Emma took his shoes and bent down to help Jas change into them.

“Big Brother Brown, co in and rest a bit.

I’ve prepared the al.

I’ll start cooking right away, and dinner will be ready soon.”

Jas did not object and let Emma help him with his shoes.

It was not that he did not respect Emma; he knew she liked doing it.

For Emma, it was a form of happiness, and for him, it was equally heartwarming.

“Emma, I’ve been wearing shoes all day, and my feet are slly, yet you still help change them,” Jas said to Emma as soon as she stood up, asking with a smile.

Emma chuckled sweetly and replied, “It’s normal for n’s feet to stink.

Just wash them.

My dad’s feet are much sllier.

If I don’t force him, he won’t even wash them, which is really unbearable.”

Jas laughed heartily.

“It seems I’m treated much better than your dad.”

Emma blushed, sighed deeply, and said, “Just the thought of my dad makes worry.

I’m afraid he will cause so much trouble for in the future.”

Patting Emma on the shoulder, Jas said, “Don’t worry, I’m here for you.”

Emma gave a wry smile and said, “I’m afraid that knowing you are here will just encourage him to bother you more.”

Jas laughed again and said, “Well, having a father-in-law co to is normal.”

This imdiately brightened Emma’s mood, but she still said, “If he really cos to you, please don’t entertain him, or he’ll never stop bothering you.”

Jas just smiled and said no more; he was completely confident in handling Emma’s father.

After beating him up last ti, that good-for-nothing old man should have learned his lesson by now.

Jas took a quick shower and changed into pajamas.

Emma’s al was also ready, and all he needed to do was sit down to eat.

“Big Brother Brown, could you call Sister Jenkins?

She went shopping with today.

She ca back tired and wanted to sleep for a bit, her plan to have us wake her for dinner.”

Jas agreed and, without changing, left his apartnt to knock a few tis on Emily Jenkins’ door.

There was no response inside.

Jas knew Emily must have been sleeping too deeply to hear the knocking – sothing he had experienced before.

When no one responded to the knocks, Jas went back ho to get Emily’s house key and then went straight over to open her apartnt door.

Emily’s place was as ssy as usual.

The living room coffee table was piled with various snack bags, and there were plenty of food crumbs on the floor—it looked like it had been burglarized.

Among the ss on the couch, what caught Jas’s eye were two pairs of thigh-high stockings carelessly thrown there.

Seeing those stockings, Jas couldn’t help but imagine Emily dressed as a flight attendant, her legs sheathed in those thigh-high stockings.

It couldn’t be denied: Emily in uniform was exceptionally appealing to n.

Jas shook his head, went straight to Emily’s bedroom door, and, although he was prepared and knew Emily didn’t sleep gracefully, he hadn’t expected it to be quite so indecent.

He glimpsed inside, then quickly turned and shut the door, knocking hard as he called out, “Emily, ti to get up and eat.”

After several shouts, a surprised cry ca from inside, followed by a loud, “Big Brother Brown, wait a mont, please don’t co in, I’m not dressed.”

Jas was speechless; if he hadn’t known Emily well, he might have thought she was deliberately trying to seduce him, telling a man she was undressed.

However, Emily didn’t keep Jas waiting long and soon ca out with an oversized sleepshirt on, showing off her shoulders and most of her cleavage, her breasts pushing up the fabric, creating a large swath of revealed skin below.

“Oops, I fell asleep,” Emily said, sticking out her tongue, looking a bit embarrassed.

Seeing Emily’s playful deanor, Jas couldn’t help but laugh, “You really sleep deeply.

I was calling you for ages outside, and you didn’t hear, so I just ca in.”

Emily quickly nodded vehently and said, “Big Brother Brown, whenever you call for als, just co in.”

As she was hurrying out, she stumbled, looked down, and realized it was her stockings.

She quickly picked them up like a thief and stuffed them behind the cushions on the sofa, then noticed two more pairs and hurriedly stuffed them away as well.

“Big Brother Brown, you didn’t see anything, did you?” Emily turned around and winked at Jas.

“Yes, I didn’t see anything, haha…” Jas could not help but laugh out loud at being teased by Emily.

Emily stuck out her tongue and said, “Even if you saw, it’s just stockings, nothing too surprising.”

“You know, you could tidy up your place a bit; it’s almost like a dog kennel,” Jas teased as he playfully tapped Emily’s head.

Emily Jenkins imdiately held her head and said, “Stop knocking, I used to be very diligent, it’s just that your knocking made forgetful, that’s why I didn’t clean up.”

“You are blaming now?” Jas Brown couldn’t help but laugh and cry.

“Well, if I have to bla soone, it might as well be Big Brother Brown; then I wouldn’t have to worry about food and drink anymore.”

While they were talking, they left Emily’s apartnt and went back to Jas’s place.

Emma Campbell saw the smile on Jas’s face and asked, “Big Brother Brown, why are you so happy?”

Jas glanced at Emily and said, “Lemon, have you ever been to Emily’s apartnt?”

“No, why?” Emma responded, sowhat puzzled.

“If you had, you’d understand.”

Emily giggled and said, “Lemon, don’t listen to Big Brother Brown’s nonsense.

My place is very tidy, there are no ssy bags on the coffee table, and stockings aren’t thrown everywhere.”

Jas couldn’t help but burst into laughter again.

Hearing this, Emma also understood why he was laughing and chuckled, saying, “Sister Jenkins, if you don’t love cleaning up your room, I can help you with it later.”

“Ah!

Really?” Emily’s eyes lit up, excitedly grabbing Emma’s arm.

“It’s no big deal, just helping out, especially since you spent the day shopping with .”

“I’m really so lucky, the two things in life that trouble most, cleaning my room and cooking, are now sorted!” Emily held her chest in her hands, utterly pleased with herself.

Jas’s eyes widened as he said, “Lemon, you can’t let her take advantage of you.

Mooching off our als is one thing, but cleaning her room too?

You’re not her maid.”

Emily imdiately widened her eyes and said with a hurt expression, “Big Brother Brown, don’t be like that.

Lemon is helping , not you.

Why are you disagreeing?”

Jas snorted, “Lemon is my girlfriend, so of course I can decide for her.”

Emily looked deflated, pouting and started to eat her food, seemingly venting her frustrations on her al.

Emma, feeling sorry for Emily, said to Jas, “Big Brother Brown, let just help Sister Jenkins out, she has helped too.”

Emily looked hopefully at Jas but didn’t dare to interrupt.

Jas, knowing Emma ant well, shook his head and said, “Then just help her this once, but not too often, otherwise she’ll keep asking you, and you really will beco her maid.”

Emily let out an excited scream and giggled, “Big Brother Brown, thank you.”

Jas really didn’t know what to do with Emily; she was utterly harmless, just incapable of looking after herself and also very kindhearted.

Whenever they went out, she always brought him a gift or sothing, and she was completely unguarded around him, clearly trusting him completely.

He couldn’t really hold it against such a guileless and kind-hearted woman.

After finishing their al, Emma imdiately went over to help Emily tidy her room.

Jas didn’t have the heart to let Emma do it all by herself and went along to help.

Emily pretended to tidy up, but soon after, a glass-breaking sound followed by Emily’s scream of pain could be heard.

“What happened?” Jas rushed to the bedroom to see Emily squatting on the floor, holding her left wrist with her right hand while blood dripped down from her left thumb.

“Big Brother Brown… it hurts so much.” Emily looked up at Jas, her eyes brimming with tears.

Jas didn’t know what to say, realizing there wouldn’t be any dical supplies in Emily’s apartnt.

He quickly went to get so from his house, cleaned her wound, and fortunately, it wasn’t too deep.

Just so dicine and bandaging and she would be fine.

“You, I don’t even know what to say to you; you manage to cut your hand doing such a small task.”

Emily pouted, looking aggrieved, “I didn’t want to, it really hurts.”

“Sigh, you’re just not cut out for manual work.

Better you stay out of the way while Lemon and I handle it.”

“Sorry,” Emily apologized, pouting again, and obediently went off to watch TV.
