100: Chapter 100 Too Shaless 100: Chapter 100 Too Shaless Jas Brown overslept, finally getting up just after 6:30 am.

After freshening up, Helen Wilson also got up, and Jas greeted her with a smile, “Morning, Officer Monaghan.”

“Morning!” Helen replied with a rather stiff smile.

Jas thought Helen might be uncomfortable staying at his place, but he didn’t dwell on it.

He pointed to the clothes hanging in the bathroom and said, “You were a ss last night, so I washed your clothes.

They’re not completely dry though, so you might have to make do with them or head ho early to change.”

Helen looked at the bathroom, then showed a genuine smile, “Thanks a lot.

I didn’t even realize I had thrown up.

That must have been such a hassle for you.”

Jas shook his head and remarked, “Officer Monaghan, as I told you yesterday, you have to be careful with alcohol.

You’re lucky it was who found you, otherwise…”

“True, true,” Helen hurriedly agreed.

“I was just in a bad mood, lucky indeed that I was drinking with you.”

Although they were talking about the sa incident, their internal thoughts couldn’t be more different.

“Alright, hurry and get ready.

I don’t have any spare toothbrushes, so you might want to go brush your teeth back at your place.”

Helen nodded, entered the bathroom, and closed the door, then looked around.

The bathroom was simple: a toilet, a washing machine, and above the sink was a small shelf with two cups containing toothbrushes, but only one towel.

The presence of two toothbrush cups suggested soone else lived here, and Helen figured it must be the university student nad Emily Stuart.

This made Helen sowhat puzzled.

If Jas was questionable, why would he let a girl stay here?

Thinking of Emily Stuart, Helen suddenly understood.

Emily always said that Jas was a good man, which must an he hadn’t done anything inappropriate.

A girl would naturally trust a man who treated her with respect, which would explain why Emily thought highly of him.

Using her police intuition, Helen quickly made such a judgnt.

It wasn’t that Officer Monaghan was misguided in her thinking; her notion had crystallized into one direction because Jas had brought ho a drunken beauty, unhard.

However, on the other hand, Helen felt Jas was really decent— he even washed her clothes, and his place was tidy, not ssy like most n’s places.

“No way…

Is he a bottom?!” Helen suddenly had this thought since typically, won did the laundry and cleaning.

“My goodness, he looks so strong, and yet a bottom?

Looks can be deceiving.”

It must be said, the thoughts of Officer Monaghan were wickedly playful, resulting in her stomach feeling upset again.

She quickly washed her face without daring to use Jas’s towel, and then hastily left his apartnt.

“What was that about, why did she look so odd?” Even if Jas were as clever as John Bright, he would never guess Helen’s thoughts.

After Helen left, Jas started to make breakfast but was interrupted by a knock at the door.

Opening it, he found Emily Jenkins and Sarah Jones standing there.

“This early in the morning, what’s the matter?” Jas asked, puzzled.

Emily stuck out her cute tongue a bit, “Big Brother Brown, we ca to sponge off your breakfast.”

Jas couldn’t help but smile wryly, “Well, co in then.

You two really take the cake, treating this place like a cafeteria.”

While Jas understood why Emily would freeload, having been neighbors for a while, and knowing she wasn’t the reserved type, Lucy Campbell was different—being the top beauty in SSUP Country with a massive wealth, and yet here she was also coming over for breakfast made no sense.

Lucy entered the living room, her eyes smiling at Jas, “Where were you last night?

You didn’t even say you wouldn’t be back; I knocked several tis and had to end up eating instant noodles.”

Emily nodded repeatedly, “Yeah, too.

I knocked many tis.”

Jas reluctantly explained, “I had sothing to tend to last night and ate out.”

Lucy squinted her eyes slightly, “Next ti you’re not coming back, could you at least give us a call?

It would be easier to plan.”

“Do we really need to do that?

I have to ask for permission now if I’m not coming ho?” Jas questioned.

Lucy responded nonchalantly, “Yes, you do, otherwise who would cook the food we bought?”

“So you’re saying I don’t need to buy groceries anymore?”

“If you can promise to co ho every night to cook for us, then no, you won’t need to,” Lucy nodded.

Jas imdiately shook his head, “Sorry, can’t promise that.

I have my private life and my circle of friends—it’s normal for not to co ho for dinner.”

Lucy Campbell imdiately said, “Of course, but you should at least give us a call beforehand, right?”

Jas Brown couldn’t help but feel like everyone was living together, although the three of them lived on the sa floor and shared an elevator, they at least weren’t living in the sa apartnt, right?

“Big Brother Brown, you wouldn’t say no, would you?” Emily Jenkins fluttered her eyelashes, her big eyes brimming with moisture, as she started to act cute.

Jas Brown couldn’t stand Emily Jenkins’s look, hurriedly raised his hands to surrender, and said, “Alright, alright, I agree.”

Lucy Campbell and Emily Jenkins imdiately high-fived and cheered.

Seeing Lucy Campbell also shouting without any image, Jas Brown suddenly felt incredulous — was this the sa Lucy Campbell, renowned as the number one beauty of SSUP Country?

She seed just like any ordinary woman now.

Each person had two fried eggs and a glass of milk, along with slices of bread; such a simple breakfast also left Lucy Campbell and Emily Jenkins fully satisfied.

“I have to go to work now, can you help clean up a bit?” Jas Brown quickly finished his al, pushed away the plate, and left.

These two had enjoyed a free al, so it was only fair to ask them to do so work.

“Wait, I’ll co with you,” Lucy Campbell quickly followed him.

“Ah!

You two are bullying !” Emily Jenkins shouted from behind but still obediently cleaned up everything.

Now that she was really poor, she could only compensate by doing so work.

Upon entering the elevator, Jas Brown looked at Lucy Campbell, dressed in a standard professional suit, and asked, “Where are you going?”

Lucy Campbell smiled slightly and said, “Dressed like this, can’t you tell what I’m planning to do?”

Jas Brown looked up and down at Lucy Campbell and said, “With this look, it’s like a standard urban white-collar worker.

You wouldn’t tell you’re planning to go to work, would you?”

Lucy Campbell chuckled lightly and said, “You guessed right, I actually am going to work.”

“Oh.”

Lucy Campbell noticed that Jas Brown didn’t continue to inquire and felt a bit disappointed, but still asked, “Aren’t you going to ask where I work?”

“You definitely won’t be working at the sa place as .”

“That’s not necessarily true, who knows, maybe one day I’ll work at the sa company as you.”

Jas Brown was intrigued, and with a smile, he said, “Now, first you poach Mr.

Lopez, then Sunny Nguyen.

Surely you aren’t planning to poach for your company too?”

“What do you think?

Interested?” Lucy Campbell didn’t deny it.

“Well, it depends on whether your company’s offer is better than what I have now.

If it’s better, I wouldn’t mind going there.

People reach for higher grounds, water flows downhill, right?”

Lucy Campbell narrowed her eyes slightly and said, “Then I’ll take that as a yes.”

Jas Brown was a bit surprised and said, “You aren’t serious, are you?”

“Do I look like I’m joking?”

Jas Brown looked at Lucy Campbell and shook his head, “Miss Johnson, thank you for holding in such a high regard, but I really don’t want to relive my past life.

I’d rather be an ordinary person, go to work, hang out at bars, have a drink, shoot the breeze with coworkers…

I find this life quite pleasant.”

Lucy Campbell imdiately retorted, “Who said I want you to be my bodyguard at my place?”

“Then what would you have do at your company?

I don’t have many skills; I can drive, but that hardly makes a talent.

There’s no need to specifically seek out, is there?”

“It’s simple; I trust you.

If you were at my company, I would feel reassured.

Managing a company without a few trustworthy people just doesn’t work.”

At that mont, the elevator doors opened, and the two of them reached the ground floor, interrupting their conversation.

They walked out of the elevator side by side, Lucy Campbell asked, “So, do you agree or not?”

“Let’s talk about it later, I’m feeling good right now.”

“Alright then.

But I think you’ll want to change places soon.”

Jas Brown didn’t say much more.

He understood the implications of Lucy Campbell’s words well — implying that both Gina Lopez and Sunny Nguyen would leave; and with JYPP Region Company returning to the hands of the headquarters’ people, it was hard to predict whether it would maintain its current atmosphere.

Glancing around briefly, Jas Brown noticed people following both in front and behind them, seemingly casual but unmistakably different from ordinary people to his trained eyes — these were clearly Lucy Campbell’s bodyguards.

The two exited the complex, and imdiately a taxi drove up; Lucy Campbell got in.

Jas Brown recognized the driver — the very sa one he had seen in the bodyguard room that day.

This made him slightly amused.

Lucy Campbell seed to want to lead a normal life, but this normalcy was obviously a bit lacking.

However, thinking about soone like her wanting to live a truly ordinary life would be much more difficult than for him.
