Su Yanyi had confined Zero Zero One to solitary, and wearing her bathrobe, she exited the bathroom to see the man sitting sowhat stiffly on the couch. As soon as he saw her, he imdiately stood up.
Yanyi naturally noticed the man’s awkwardness, but chose to ignore it. She didn’t pay attention to him, instead grabbing a dry towel to wipe her hair. However, due to her long hair, a few strands always slipped out, which made her sowhat impatiently increase the vigor of her action, causing herself a bit of a headache.
Qin Jiran watched from the side and ventured to ask, "Shall I help you dry it?"
Qin Jiran’s offer ca purely out of an inability to stand by while Yanyi was rough with her own hair, which made his heart ache. His question was asked in excitent, but as soon as it left his mouth, he felt he had been too forward and looked at Yanyi with embarrassnt, hastily explaining, "You’ll hurt your scalp if you do it like that."
Yanyi paused in her hair-drying, casting a scrutinizing glance at Qin Jiran, as if doubting his ability to do the task. But then she rembered the care Qin Jiran had given her in her past life when she beca vegetative and replied with relief, "Okay."
Yanyi handed the towel over to Qin Jiran, who was sowhat surprised but quickly went over and began to gently dry her hair with careful attentiveness.
Qin Jiran’s movents were not very skilled, but they were gentle and considerate, never causing Yanyi any pain. His technique improved as he went along, even incorporating a gentle massage that made Yanyi extrely comfortable, to the point where she even slightly squinted her eyes in pleasure.
This man was indeed very suitable for taking care of others, Yanyi praised inwardly, but then she couldn’t help feeling sowhat dissatisfied with her own thoughts. She pondered that this man should not just be good at taking care of people, but particularly skilled at taking care of her!
This man was hers; how could he take care of soone else!
After drying Yanyi’s hair, Qin Jiran went to take his own shower. Yanyi got into bed and naturally lay down in the middle, but then she rembered Qin Jiran was there and moved to the side. She asured the space she left with her eyes to ensure it was half, before propping herself in bed to read a book.
Qin Jiran ca out in his pajamas, his body still giving off heat, looking much more relaxed and dosticated. Yanyi looked over and realized that this might be the first ti she had seen Qin Jiran in such a state. Before, no matter the occasion, he had always dressed quite formally in her presence, a stark contrast to his current appearance.
Seeing the space Yanyi had made for him, Qin Jiran’s eyes flickered, he got into bed, laying at the edge, and then beca completely still.
Yanyi appeared to be reading, but her attention lingered on Qin Jiran. Noticing that he was lying there with his eyes closed as if playing dead, her lips twitched slightly, and a hint of amusent appeared in her eyes.
Silly man! So dull and clumsy, no wonder she didn’t realize he liked her until after her accident in her past life. So incredibly dense, not even knowing how to take the initiative!
Yanyi had always wanted more opportunities to spend ti with Qin Jiran so that they could understand each other better, but most of their interactions revolved around work due to both being poor conversationalists. Although they had developed a certain rapport, Yanyi still felt sothing was missing. However, as soone with low emotional intelligence, she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.
"Are you tired?" Yanyi put down her book and looked straight at Qin Jiran.
Qin Jiran, who seed to be asleep, certainly hadn’t fallen asleep so quickly. Hearing Yanyi’s question, he naturally opened his eyes and said uncertainly, "I’m alright."
Tired or not, it mostly depended on what Yanyi ant. Did she want him to go to sleep early if he was tired, or stay up and chat if he wasn’t? For a mont, Qin Jiran felt torn.
