[What’s a good Valentine’s Day gift? Waiting online!]
[There are really too many gifts you could give for Valentine’s Day. Are you giving a gift to your boyfriend or your girlfriend? What’s the status of your relationship and what have you already given? Typically, the classic and admittedly tacky gifts include flowers, chocolates, and a candlelit dinner. But now everyone’s getting unexpectedly creative. There’s nothing that hasn’t been given—I heard a friend say just the other day that he’s giving his girlfriend a rice cooker for Valentine’s Day so she can cook for him from now on!]

Reading this, Su Yanyi seed to have an idea too. Jiran seed to quite like the dishes she cooked, but since they had planned to go out for a movie tonight, it seed dinner would have to be outside.
Why not go ho first, have dinner, and then go to the movies? There’d be enough ti anyway.
That afternoon, Su Yanyi left work early. Kang Zhong dropped Yanyi ho and then left with a aningful smile.
Yanyi busied herself in the kitchen for nearly two hours. Seeing that it was almost ti for Jiran to get off work, she called him.
"Yanyi? I’ve just finished my work and was about to go pick you up," Qin Jiran said.
"I’m ho already, co back first," Su Yanyi said, because she didn’t want Qin Jiran to make the trip for nothing, so she called ahead of ti.
"...Okay, I’m heading back now," Qin Jiran replied, a bit puzzled. They had agreed to et at the office, so why was she suddenly ho? Did sothing happen?
Qin Jiran rushed ho because he felt sothing was odd. Once ho, he found no sign of Yanyi in the living room but heard noises coming from the kitchen. Following the sounds, he went into the kitchen, only to see Yanyi wearing an apron, about to serve the dishes.
For a mont, Qin Jiran was stunned; he hadn’t anticipated this dreamy scene at all.
Yanyi had cooked for him before, more than once, but those tis were different from now. The first ti was because he was sick and didn’t even see Yanyi cooking. The second was during New Year’s when everyone cooked together, and although Su Yanyi did prepare a couple of dishes, it felt nothing like it did now.
Qin Jiran could see, aside from the two dishes Yanyi was holding, there were a few others around, all freshly made, looking delicious in every sense. Without asking, he knew Yanyi had made them herself. He could imagine Yanyi alone in an apron, cooking earnestly—heartwarming and cute, stirring hearts and touching souls.
