As the ceremony progressed, the awards beca increasingly prestigious, and the gifts correspondingly more valuable, culminating in the Best Artist Award at the end.
"The winner of the Best Artist of the Year from Splendid Entertainnt is Best Actor Qin Jiran. He won the Best Actor award at the Starlight Award this year and is also the youngest and quickest to fa to have won it. Mr. Qin truly deserves this award. As the Best Artist of Splendid Entertainnt this year, we would like to invite CEO Su Yanyi, President of Splendid Entertainnt, to present the award to our Best Actor."
As the host finished speaking, Qin Jiran and Su Yanyi both stood up, exchanged a glance, and then walked onto the stage in tacit agreent, standing together in the public eye.
The host handed the microphone to them and asked, "Best Actor Qin, could you share your feelings about receiving this award?"
"I’m honored and very happy," Qin Jiran responded, not one to refuse, and though his reply was concise, those re six words conveyed his mood. He was truly happy, not so much about the award itself, but because he could stand here with Yanyi.
"Then President Su, standing here with Best Actor Qin and personally presenting the Best Artist Award of Splendid Entertainnt for this year, do you have anything to say?"
"Keep up the good work. I’m really looking forward to seeing Jiran on more award stages," said Su Yanyi with a serious look directed at Qin Jiran. Her words indeed reflected her expectations for him.
Qin Jiran looked at Su Yanyi and nodded earnestly, then stepped away from the microphone to whisper to her, "I will."
If this was Su Yanyi’s expectation for him, he would definitely strive to et it!
"Hehe, I wonder if it’s more fitting to say ’the husband sings, the wife follows’ or the other way around," the host joked a bit about the two. He didn’t dare to go too far, but with their well-known reticent deanors, even without his words, everyone understood.
The host’s comnts also drew everyone’s attention to the award itself, with so looking forward to what gift Queen Su would present to Best Actor Qin.
So romantically minded ladies and gentlen even simultaneously wondered if the prize might be a kiss—an enjoyable sight for them all.
With composure, Su Yanyi handed a box to Qin Jiran. She had prepared it the day before and, just to be safe, even stored it in the System Space overnight to prevent anyone from seeing it.
Qin Jiran accepted the box calmly, but there was a clear expression of joy and anticipation in his eyes. Kang Zhong had already hinted to him that this award was personally prepared by Su Yanyi. With this in mind, the gift in his hands felt all the more precious.
"Such a delicate box. What could be inside? Please, let our Best Actor Qin open it for us all to see, shall we?" The host chid in at the right mont. In fact, this was part of the procedure, as there was no secret-keeping in this kind of employee award celebration.
Qin Jiran gave Su Yanyi an inquiring look and seed ready to open it, already placing his fingers at the sides of the box, poised to reveal the contents. He was eager to see what the gift was.
