"No need to prepare, go about your business."
After Su Yanyi finished speaking, she entered Room One with Qin Jiran, leaving behind several people outside with rather strange expressions.
"Brother Zhang, can I watch the young miss shoot, just for a bit?" The person from earlier asked with an excited face, eyes glued to the door of Room One without blinking.
"Xiao Gong, mind your manners, be quiet." Brother Zhang glared at the one called Xiao Gong, but it was clearly not enough to stop him; Xiao Gong still looked very excited, and he was not the only one—several other young boys were as well.
These individuals in the Gunnery Room must be introduced in detail. They had only arrived at the base in the last year or two. The eldest among them was no older than eighteen, the boy from earlier being only about fifteen or sixteen.
Yet, the way they looked at Su Yanyi was with curiosity and respect. Su Yanyi, though she had not been seen at the base for so ti, had deeds from the past that people still talked about. At a very young age, she was highly combative and more importantly, she was considered a sharpshooter without equal. Along with a few equally audacious friends, she had done many things that were laughable yet admirable.
It was said that the young miss was very skilled, especially in marksmanship. Before she was ten, she could hit the bullseye with every shot and had set a series of shooting records. Of course, those records were impressive for a child of that age. Regrettably, as Miss Su grew up, she left the base, leaving behind a series of anecdotes that people enjoyed recounting.
Many kids who ca here for training had heard stories about Su Yanyi when they were in their early teens. Most of them saw Su Yanyi as a goal or even as an idol. Thus, seeing her now was causing such excitent.
"Brother Zhang, please, we just want to see for ourselves. The young miss was known as a sharpshooter. We always wanted to et her but never had the chance. Now that she’s here, could you talk to her and let us have a look?" Xiao Gong and the others were still child-like at heart; it was hard for them to contain their excitent.
"Wait and see. The young miss is not in the best of moods, and now that her husband-to-be is here, how could she have the ti to bother with you kids? Go and practice, don’t waste ti here, or I’ll mark you all as failing the exam!"
Leaving aside Brother Zhang, who was shooing away the reluctant youths, Su Yanyi took Qin Jiran into the gun room and naturally took on the role of an instructor. Starting with selecting a gun, she earnestly began to coach Qin Jiran.
Qin Jiran was quite familiar with the process and didn’t try to conceal it. His movents of loading and handling the gun were quick and proficient, which sowhat surprised Su Yanyi. However, there were still unprofessional aspects to his actions that Su Yanyi pointed out one by one. Qin Jiran was a quick learner and scored an impressive ninety-three points in his first round of ten shots.
"You are more talented in shooting than in dating." That was Su Yanyi’s comnt, which made Qin Jiran, who felt rather cool holding the gun, suddenly seem not quite as suave.
Such an odd way for Yanyi to give praise! Or was it that Yanyi wasn’t praising him at all?
Qin Jiran gave a wry smile, grasped Su Yanyi’s hand, and said, "Thank you for being willing to bring here."
"You’re a mber of the Su family, so naturally, you can co here. If you like these things, you can co more often in the future," Su Yanyi said straightforwardly, her aning clear: she recognized Qin Jiran as part of the Su family, and thus he was entitled to visit any place that belonged to the Su family.
"Yeah, alright." Qin Jiran really did like these things; after all, n are inherently passionate. Military, weapons, firearms—most n like them. He used to practice shooting in other clubs, which was satisfying, but it felt different. Shooting there felt more like a form of entertainnt, but here, it felt much more formal.
