"Yeah, sure. I’ll go teach Joan first. Anita, you should try practicing what I just told you about first," Owen said while handing the cue to Anita to teach Joan first.

Anita nodded without speaking when she heard Owen’s words.

Then Owen followed Joan to the practice ridge.

"Joan, swing the pole first. I’ll watch your moves," Owen said to Joan seriously.

Joan listened to Owen as she swung the pole up.

"No, Joan, you’re not doing it right," Owen said, reaching for Joan’s pole.

"You can’t take the pole up with your hands. You have to triangulate the lever, and then your wrists have to move up first, and then, with your head between your knees, keep turning your back," Owen said seriously.

"Got it?" Owen asked Joan when he was finished.

"Oh yes, and make sure your back is turned fully," Owen added.

Joan listened to Owen’s words while still looking confused. "I’m sorry, Owen, I can understand everything you’re saying, but why can’t I do it?"

"It might be better if you practiced a few more tis," Owen said helplessly while listening to Joan.

"Owen, you can help try the moves," Joan said to Owen.

Owen didn’t think much of what Joan was saying. To be honest, he was a little surprised to see Joan today. They had been very close before she left the country.

Joan used to cling to him and act intimately with him all the ti, especially during the ti when Mia had passed away. Joan had also given him a lot of comfort and encouragent, accompanying him through a difficult ti.

Hence, he did not reject Joan’s request for him to teach her how to play.

"Good. Then I’ll only show you once. You must rember," Owen said while looking in Anita’s direction first. He realized she hadn’t even looked his way once, as if she didn’t care who he was with at all.

The way the two of them were standing together now looked too intimate. It was as if there was no one else around. Anita felt as if her eyes were being pierced. She looked up and tried her best to control herself.

At this mont, she finally understood why Joan was hostile toward her.

When they first t, Joan only cared about talking to Owen and completely excluded her. She might have ignored her because she was unfamiliar with her.

But now that she was so blatantly asking Owen to teach her in such close proximity, it was a blatant demonstration of her power. Unfortunately, Anita didn’t know in what position to call Owen back.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she beca. Anita wanted to throw away the pole in her hand and go back to the hotel to sleep. She didn’t know how to play golf anyway. She’d co here today to spend ti with Owen.

Who knew that he would leave her behind to chat with soone else?

"Okay, that’s it. You did a good job this ti. Practice it yourself. I’m going to check on Anita," Owen said while putting down Joan’s hand.

"Okay, thanks, Owen. Go ahead," Joan said while looking sensible.

Owen hadn’t seen the look on Anita’s face earlier, but Joan saw the flash of sadness on Anita’s face.

This ti she gripped the pole and watched Owen walk toward Anita’s back. She didn’t think she’d done anything wrong. After all, without Anita’s sudden appearance, maybe she was ant to be with Owen.

And she’d co back from England so suddenly because she’d heard about Owen and Anita’s marriage. But she was a step too late. She’d already lost hope.

But as soon as she heard that Dad and Owen had an appointnt to play golf, she couldn’t help but follow.

Now, she was beginning to feel relieved that she’d co along, because she could clearly sense that the relationship between Owen and Anita wasn’t that stable. That ant she still had a chance.

And for now, no one knew that she liked Owen, not even her father. In other words, if she failed in her pursuit of Owen, no one else would know about it.

"Anita, didn’t I just teach you how to get on a pole? Why aren’t you practicing?" Owen, not noticing the sullen expression on her face, said as he walked over to Anita.

"Like I said, I don’t like golf, and I don’t know how to do it," Anita said even more unhappily when she saw Owen walk over and accuse her of not practicing instead of expressing concern for her first.

"If you don’t learn, you won’t be able to play today, and you won’t be able to play the next ti. Are you going to never co out on an occasion like this with again?" Owen, who was also angry when he heard Anita’s words, said.
