"No, what’s wrong with Joan? We haven’t talked recently," Owen asked dubiously when he heard Sylvia suddenly ntion Joan.
"Nothing. It’s just that this child said she was going to visit at ho these two days. I thought you guys had contacted each other recently, so I asked you," Sylvia said while listening to Owen.
"No, I haven’t. She can co if she wants. Haven’t you guys not seen each other in a long ti?" Owen said with a smile.
"Yes, she didn’t say when she would co. By the way, when you have ti these two days, co back and see your father and ," Sylvia said again.
"Yeah, got it," Owen said with a nod.
"By the way, you guys..." Before he could finish, he heard a beeping sound on the phone.
Owen took the phone down and smiled helplessly. He looked at Anita and said, "I was going to ask how they were recently and if there was anything I needed to buy for them to bring back, but the call hung up so quickly that I wondered if I was their son."
"How co? You’re thinking too much. I can feel that Mom and Dad love you a lot." Anita moved from the sofa to sit beside him.
"Okay, I hope so, but I think they like you better," Owen said again while looking at Anita, who was sitting beside him.
"Well, shouldn’t they like ?" Anita said quickly with another smile as she listened to Owen.
"By the way, what happened to Joan? I just heard Mom ntion her."
"Nothing. It’s just that she seems to have confird that she’s going to work at her dad’s company and will be closer to our house, so she wants to see Mom," Owen said while listening to Anita’s question and thinking about what Sylvia had just said on the phone.
"Really? When is Joan going to visit Mom at ho?" Anita asked again while listening to Owen.
"I’m not sure about the exact ti. I guess it depends on when she’s not busy." Actually, when Sylvia ntioned Joan to him just now, he was puzzled for a mont.
He didn’t know why Joan would suddenly contact his mother at this ti, but the two families had always been close. It was normal for Joan to visit his parents. Owen ignored his doubts.
But when Anita heard Joan’s na, her mind started to spin. The image of Owen teaching Joan how to play golf when they went on a vacation in the suburbs together was still in her mind.
Especially since she had a deep impression of what Joan had said to her on the way back to the hotel. She could feel that Joan had feelings for Owen.
She had a crush on him. Originally, she didn’t care much. After all, there was a distance between Joan and them, and she might have to return to England at so point.
But unexpectedly, from the call from Sylvia today, Joan probably wouldn’t return to England in the future, and she was going to work here.
This made her panic. She was a little worried. Would her relationship with Owen change?
"Anita, what are you thinking about?" Owen asked her when he saw Anita sitting quietly on the sofa for a long ti.
"Nothing. By the way, I have to go to school the day after tomorrow. Should we go ho tomorrow to see Mom and the others?" Anita thought about it and smiled at Owen.
"Sure. They’ll be very happy to see you when they go back tomorrow."
"Well, they’ll definitely be happy to see you, too," Anita said with a smile while listening to Owen.
"Okay, don’t comfort . I know how the two of them are. I’ll go wash up first." Owen smiled and stood up from the sofa before walking into the room.
As soon as Owen left, Anita was alone in the living room. The perfu lemon they had ordered today had not been delivered, so she sat in the living room while waiting for soone to deliver it and took out her phone while wondering if she should send Ethan a ssage.
The two of them had not contacted each other since they returned to the country. She was not in a good mood at the airport that day, and she had not had the ti to talk to Ethan much. The two of them had not contacted each other since they returned.
"Ethan, how are you? Let’s eat together if you have ti." Anita thought about it and composed a ssage before sending it to Ethan.
Ethan had not contacted after they parted at the airport. There were actually a few tis when he wanted to send Anita a ssage.
But every ti he picked up his phone to type a ssage, he would always imagine Owen and Anita standing together.
