Nian Shutong stopped in her tracks and said to Professor Zhou, "Follow ."

She did not want to converse with Professor Zhou in front of everyone, so she kept her head down, constantly sitting in the shadows, and her appearance remained sowhat unclear.

Nian Shutong walked ahead, with Professor Zhou following behind. As for the market stall owner who had been given a weapon, he wanted to say sothing, but Nian Shutong did not give him the chance, and quickly disappeared.

When Nian Shutong had left, the space beside the stall owner beca crowded with more people.

"Old Mao, what did she look like?"

"Yes, what did she look like?"

"Did you find out where she’s from?"

"What’s her background?"

The crowd’s chatter made the normally talkative Old Mao instantly understand Nian Shutong’s actions.

He chuckled and said, "I don’t know, I was too busy talking, didn’t really get a good look."

"She seed to be an older person, I think I saw quite a bit of gray hair."

"But her voice sounds young, it’s really confusing."

The chatty stall owner, Old Mao, completely transford Nian Shutong into another person in the minds of all the inquirers, building an image of a mysterious elder with profound skills.

Yet, this portrayal aligned with everyone’s expectations and was easily believed by all.

Old Mao concealed his insights and fa. Even a chatterbox must asure his words, or else he himself might have died countless tis over.

On the other side, Nian Shutong, who had left, was now in a standoff with Professor Zhou.

Nian Shutong felt that she definitely had the bigger eyes, and looking at Professor Zhou, who seed utterly bewildered, she asked, "Do you have anything else to ask? If not, I’m leaving."

Due to Elder Hua’s influence, Nian Shutong held a deep respect for professors, especially seeing Professor Zhou teaching a few students at the stall, recognizing him as a good teacher.

Professor Zhou finally collected himself from the shock of Nian Shutong’s appearance and age, and he let out a long breath and said, "I am indeed old, it seems the world now belongs to your generation."

Professor Zhou’s lant did not find echo in Nian Shutong. She simply stood there, waiting for any question he might have.

Without wasting ti, Professor Zhou asked directly, "The weapons today, did you forge them all yourself?"

Nian Shutong nodded, but her next words shocked Professor Zhou, making him feel that the world was going mad.

"They’re the inferior products of my crafting, mainly because I made too many at once, sent the good ones away, and brought these leftovers to make so money."

Inferior product?

Made too many at once?

Casually changing them for money?

Do you really know what you’re saying?

Professor Zhou had a series of questions swirling in his mind, swallowing them and then rising again before he could only utter, "Then what are the good ones like?"

"The good ones?"

Nian Shutong looked slightly troubled and said, "The good ones are all used to play with Heavenly Thunder."

Tribulation, also a kind of ga, I suppose.

Having said that, Nian Shutong, watching Professor Zhou’s stunned expression, thought for a mont, then searched in her Space Ring, and finally found a very small Dagger, or perhaps a knife.

"It’s probably like this, this is the only one left."

Professor Zhou took the small knife handed over by Nian Shutong with both hands and carefully inspected it. This blade was restrained, yet there was a hint of exposed brilliance.

"This, what level of attack can it handle?"

"SSS level, I’d say."

A casually uttered remark by Shutong almost made Professor Zhou excitedly throw away the small knife in his hand. Luckily, he caught himself in ti and respectfully handed it back.

"Please keep it."

Professor Zhou used honorifics, for the master is the teacher.

However, Shutong waved his hand and said, "It’s for you. Had you not shown up today, I wouldn’t have been able to sell it."

Professor Zhou was really tempted, but he still insisted on giving it back.

"Thank you for your kindness, but I’ve already paid the price for what I needed. I don’t need to take anything extra from you. It was just a fair transaction between us."

Professor Zhou finally cald his emotions, saying to Shutong, "Your willingness to stand here and answer these questions is already an extra gift to ."

Professor Zhou’s magnanimity made a good impression on Shutong, and the two stood there, talking for a long while.

Finally, after they had said their goodbyes, Professor Zhou discovered that Shutong was walking in the sa direction as himself.

He asked, sowhat unsure, "Are you also from this community?"

"What a coincidence."

Shutong’s response delighted Professor Zhou.

If they were going the sa way, it ant there was much more to talk about.

Unconsciously, Professor Zhou slowed his pace and began asking Shutong many questions about alchemy.

Although their alchemical systems were slightly different, they shared common ground.

When Professor Zhou reached Shutong’s doorstep, he was sowhat reluctant to leave but didn’t feel it was right to linger.

What should have been a journey of just a dozen minutes took over thirty, and he felt a bit embarrassed.

"Thank you for your guidance today."

Professor Zhou bowed deeply to Shutong as a sign of gratitude.

"You’re welco. I enjoyed talking with you."

After their conversation, Shutong ca to appreciate the professor even more.

The two said goodbye at the doorstep, and after Shutong went back inside, he rested without any burden.

On the other side, Professor Zhou did not sleep that night. In fact, he got up at three in the morning, left his house, and went to the community principal’s house to discuss things through the night.

The study’s light in the principal’s house stayed on until six in the morning. Professor Zhou hurried out of the principal’s house and ran towards Shutong’s door.

When Professor Zhou reached Shutong’s door, Shutong noticed right away.

She didn’t deliberately make Professor Zhou wait but ca out and said to the Professor, who hesitated about whether to ring the doorbell, "Professor Zhou, please co in and have so breakfast with ."

Seeing that Shutong had already co out, Professor Zhou finally breathed a sigh of relief. It was good that she was still there.

"Then, I’ll take you up on your kind offer."

Professor Zhou followed Shutong inside and settled down at the kitchen table.

"Professor Zhou, please wait a mont; I’ll heat up so food, and it will be ready soon."

"Alright, alright," responded Professor Zhou, who was too preoccupied to think about food, answering absently while pondering how to start the conversation without being abrupt.

But no matter how much he planned, it seed inappropriate.

In the kitchen, Shutong heated up so seafood porridge, a simple dish enhanced by Master Fan’s culinary Enlightennt.

As the steam rose, the aroma distracted the deeply contemplating Professor Zhou, causing his stomach to grumble uncontrollably.

"Professor Zhou, try our porridge."

Though initially not inclined to eat, Professor Zhou strangely blurted out, "Alright, I’ll try it."
