Chapter 18: The “Fate” That Could Not Be Escaped

“Uh… Lavinia Astra.” The cat-eared girl hesitated for a mont, then reached out and waved a hand in front of Lina’s eyes. “You’re fine, right… Don’t tell you’re really so tired you’ve gone stupid, ow?”
“Is there anything strange about the clothes I’m wearing?” Lina took off the D-rank witch badge on her chest and showed it to the cat-eared girl. “Do you recognize this badge?”

On the other side of the courtyard stood a tall woman with long fiery-red hair, a heroic bearing, and wheat-colored skin.
“Uh… I thought it looked a little wilted, and then… and then I watered it a little…” The red-haired woman turned her head aside, one hand scratching her cheek, looking sowhat embarrassed.
“And then you poured boiling water into it!?” The elf girl rushed in front of the red-haired woman, extrely agitated. “Do you know?! This was the last remaining tree species left from the Kaniat Dynasty!”

Lina raised an eyebrow, and a bold idea welled up in her mind.
