After the starship disappeared, a large force headed towards the Li family’s location, only to find a field of ruins.

The carrier glanced at Nanming Huowu before its helt slid off, revealing a handso face. At the sight of that face, Nanming Huowu turned ashen, felt utterly devastated, and collapsed to the ground.
“How is this possible,” Nanming Huowu murmured quietly. “How could this be…”
“Everything you and Li Zelong did—I spare you not because of you, but for the Old Dean’s sake. From now on, you are forbidden from stepping out of the Nanming Family grounds, lest you die,” the carrier said coldly.
Dean Nanming felt as if he were in a surreal dream; could it really be Xu Mo?
“Old Dean, I leave her in your care.” Xu Mo said to Dean Nanming, “Take good care of yourself.”
Dean Nanming nodded, asking, “Is your teacher well?”
“The teacher is fine,” Xu Mo replied, and Dean Nanming was left speechless.
Xu Mo put the helt back on and then shot up into the sky, returning to the warship, which cleaved through the air and sped off into the distance.
Watching the departing warship, Dean Nanming also collapsed weakly into a chair, feeling utterly drained. He lowered his head and looked at Nanming Huowu on the ground, heaving a gentle sigh, “All these years, everything you’ve done… what was the aning of it all?”
Nanming Huowu felt ridiculous, and tears began to flow down her cheeks, all the events of the years passed seed like a dream.
Now, the dream had ended, and it was shattered.
