Chapter 1031: Chapter 94: Squad
Xu Mo killed several people, with Zero on his cha’s left arm, the two working together seamlessly.
Zero handled spiritual attacks, while Xu Mo’s cha had strong explosive power. Those Transcendents they targeted barely had any chance to react before being slain on the spot.
The other Empire Transcendents in pursuit realized they needed to gather quickly, killing the attacking Monsters before turning their attention to Xu Mo and Zero, who turned and continued to run.
Five against over twenty, forcefully killing them would be difficult, Lowell and Hudson would be in danger, as the Empire’s Transcendents were also top-tier warriors.
But if the Empire’s Transcendents continued to pursue them, then they could use the Monsters to exhaust the enemy.
The Empire’s Transcendents were clearly hesitant. The leader nad Moduo, with cold, murderous eyes beneath his helt, bood, “Continue the chase.”
Because Xu Mo had killed many, bringing back Xu Mo’s head was necessary to explain the loss of several Transcendents. He was a notable figure in the Empire, returning empty-handed would make it hard to account to Prince Lonco.
Moduo, clad in nacing armor, burst forward at extre speed, leading the charge, with the others flanking him. All wearing Imperial Battle Armor, the friction in the air created sonic booms.
Ahead, more Monsters rushed to attack. Chains with sharp blades suddenly shot out from Moduo’s armor, instantly piercing the Monster’s body. With a fierce pull, the giant Monster was torn apart, a rain of blood falling from the sky.
Moduo pushed forward without slowing, the murderous intent in the squad’s eyes intensified, with Moduo leading, this squad would definitely kill these people.
Behind, the pursuing squad drew closer, and the attacking Monsters were quickly killed by Moduo. Xu Mo realized relying on Monsters wouldn’t work either, as the leader of the pursuers was a tough character.
“Boom.” Suddenly, a powerful Energy Light erupted around Xu Mo’s cha.
The cha from the Mystic God Temple was the most advanced, an extension of the human body, enhancing explosive power and equipping weapon systems, providing energy without hindering the Transcendent’s abilities.
The cha also took on a humanoid form, like a warrior clad in armor, but larger in size.
At this mont, a powerful Energy Light exploded around the advancing cha, with Source Power converging towards it, and the cha’s eyes shone brightly, as if it had life.
A group of Monsters charged, but the cha continued forward, its strong spiritual power instantly invaded. The Monster violently struggled with a furious roar, energy around it going wild.
The human before it wanted to control it, it struggled frantically to break free, but its spiritual power seed enveloped, with no effect despite the struggle.
“Boom…” Countless imprints fell directly into its mind, its gaze changed instantly. As Xu Mo continued forward, it followed him as he passed by.
Soon after, Xu Mo replicated this situation, and before long, Monsters lined up on Xu Mo’s left and right, following along, puzzling those in pursuit. What’s going on?
The Monsters didn’t attack, only followed Xu Mo and the others.
Augustus and Lowell were also shocked. Xu Mo, he controlled the Monsters!
As they continued, more Monsters amassed on Xu Mo’s sides, causing the Empire’s pursuing Transcendents to hesitate. They were closing the distance, but now Xu Mo had a dozen Monsters nearby, possibly under his control.
“Be careful,” Moduo warned those around him, as he continued accelerating, sending sharp chains from his armor shooting towards Xu Mo’s cha.
“Take action.” Xu Mo suddenly shifted direction, as if eyes were on his back predicting Moduo’s move, his cha turned, power surging, charging towards Moduo at terrifying speed.
A clattering sound ensued, with Moduo’s armor chains shooting at Xu Mo’s cha, which twisted and dodged through them at high speed.
Suddenly, the chains turned towards the cha, about to entangle it.
“Zero,” Xu Mo said, releasing a burst of spiritual power, pausing the chains under powerful Telekinesis.
Simultaneously, Zero launched from the cha’s arm, charging straight towards Moduo, silver eyes releasing terrible energy, silver hair flying.
Moduo was hit by a spiritual attack, his actions slowed, and those nearby trying to help were hindered by Augustus and the others. The strong Gravity Domain covered the area, complicating support efforts as Monsters pounced swiftly.
“Hiss…” Xu Mo wasn’t caught by the chains, his blue War Saber emitting terrifying Energy Light, cutting forward along the chains. The cha arrived before Moduo at terrifying speed, thunder roaring, delivering a deadly slash.
A clattering sound was heard as the armor chains violently shot forward, and the War Saber cleaved through, cutting into Moduo, who used the montum to retreat.
However, the next mont, Zero’s sword arrived from above, a splendid sword light emanating, dazzling Moduo.
“Crack…”
The magnificent sword descended from the sky, slicing through armor and Combat Clothes defenses. A line of blood appeared on Moduo’s forehead, his eyes filled with despair as he stared unbelievingly at the scene.
With their joint attack, he didn’t stand a chance.
With a squelch, blood splattered, Moduo’s body fell to the ground, Zero landed back on the cha’s arm and continued to charge and kill nearby.
Together, the two continuously reaped the lives of Empire Transcendents. With Augustus and others coordinating, and Monsters attacking, the battlefield was cleared after a while.
The transcendent pursued by the Kales Empire was completely slaughtered, with the entire army wiped out, but Xu Mo’s five mbers remained unhard, although more than half of the monsters had died.
“Are we going back?” Augustus asked.
“No going back,” Xu Mo replied. “Even if we’re together under the identity of Heath O’Brien, we’d be cannon fodder, and if there’s an opportunity, it’s not our turn.”
He had already taken a blow for Heath O’Brien before, so he had done his duty.
Afterwards, they would each go their separate ways. He naturally wouldn’t let Heath O’Brien use him again. He had always used others, of course, his use emphasized mutual benefit, which wasn’t necessarily the case with Heath O’Brien.
“Hmm.” Augustus nodded. “Besides the Republic Soldiers and Heath O’Brien’s batch of direct subordinates, everyone else will eventually disperse. The Empire Trial Field is too large to always act together, and each major force is the sa.”
No matter which Star Domain force, none of them is a complete entity. The Kales Empire should be the most united; for instance, the Odyssey Star Domain is itself an alliance of various superfamilies.
The Coriade Star Domain is also composed of many civilizations. Although they co from the sa Star Domain, they belong to different forces.
Xu Mo approached a monster, placing his chanical arm on the monster’s head. His spiritual power invaded, and the monster imdiately lowered its head, allowing Xu Mo to invade its mind.
In an instant, Xu Mo glimpsed many mories from the monster’s mind.
Monsters of this level already possess high intelligence, and its mories continuously flooded into Xu Mo’s mind, prompting him to digest those mory images.
After a while, the cha arm was lowered, and Xu Mo rode on the monster’s back, the combination of cha and monster sowhat uncoordinated.
“Go.”
Xu Mo issued an order, and the group rode the monster, heading in a particular direction.
Their pace wasn’t very fast, encountering many monsters along the way, and sotis facing monster groups was troubleso. However, along the way, Xu Mo controlled many monsters to act as his eyes and ears.
Two days later, Xu Mo and his team reached a desert region.
This desert region was extrely vast, and upon entering, there was no end in sight.
“Be careful, there are monsters under the desert,” Xu Mo reminded the people beside him.
Sand shifted continuously in various directions within the desert, and soon, a desert undercurrent seed to flow beneath their flight path.
A slight sound erged, sand splattered, and suddenly, a gaping maw appeared from beneath the desert, shooting straight into the sky, aiming to swallow Xu Mo and his group.
The maw was large enough to swallow Xu Mo’s mount in one bite.
“Boom…” Augustus unleashed gravity, causing the giant beast’s upward pounce to slow abruptly. Hudson and Lowell simultaneously charged out, slicing through the desert monster’s body, and the three of them killed it in an instant.
“We need to capture one alive,” Xu Mo said, as he needed the desert monster’s mory.
As they continued, they saw a group of figures appearing on the desert. The number didn’t match; it was a small squad. They had captured a desert monster and inserted a device into its head, seemingly experinting.
“People from the Coriade Star Domain,” Lowell whispered. “They might also be using devices to read monster mories.”
Xu Mo could use spiritual power to read mories, and technology could achieve the sa. The transcendent from the Coriade Star Domain had evidently co prepared, bringing mory reading instrunts.
Xu Mo and his group stayed for a mont, and after the other party finished reading, they soared into the sky, glancing at Xu Mo’s group during their ascent. Then their armor transford, appearing to have wings, forming a flat shape, and shot forward at a terrifying speed.
“Advanced,” Xu Mo whispered.
Many people have entered the Empire Trial Field, possibly exceeding tens of thousands, coming from different star domains and forces. Under normal circumstances, even if they t, there wouldn’t be conflicts. After all, they didn’t know each other’s boundaries, and without conflicts of interest, no one would initiate an attack.
However, if a conflict of interest arose, then they wouldn’t be polite.
“There are many advanced civilization stars in the Coriade Star Domain, which has been a technologically booming star domain since the Silver Star Empire era,” Lowell responded.
“Hmm.”
Xu Mo nodded. “There’s opportunity in this desert. After all, each major star domain force should disperse into small squads when entering the desert area.”
This squad, with him and Zero, plus Augustus, Lowell, and Hudson, should be considered a formidable squad. Even against the Empire’s team of more than twenty, they could take them down.
However, if they encountered a squad of top figures from each major star domain, they would have no advantage.
For now, they needed to strengthen and develop.
