Inside the aircraft was completely silent as the two teams sat looking at each other.

Well, except Owen who was fast asleep and Null who was busy looking at the world outside.

Normally, he was used to flying by just nullifying gravity or teleport to his location but this mortal vessel was also nice.

The dwarves of the world below would be pretty fascinated by it, though he still prefers teleporting.

Elizabeth sat by him with her eyes closed and Ragnarok in its mini form on her lap, she had a bad feeling about this mission and it was getting worse the closer they got.

Commander Voss was in a different part of the aircraft, hence the reason he wasn't here.

"So..." Daniel suddenly spoke up, "we et again, juniors."

There was no reply to his words.

"Co on," he said, "don't tell you've forgotten this senior so soon?"

He pointed at himself as he reminded, "the one with the jackal?"

Again, no reply.

It wasn't like they had anything against him, no, rather it was the fact that they were headed to what was obviously a trap, was currently weighing down on their minds.

"I guess reintroductions are in order," he didn't give up, "I'm Senior officer Daniel, Gold ranked tar and this is my team."

He finished his introductions by pointing towards his team, nudging them to introduce themselves.

"Damien Blackwood, Gold ranked tar," Damien simply said as he leaned back on the seat and folded his hands.

"Dean," Dean introduced, "silver ranked tar."

The introductions went on for a while, passing the two girls in their team who were nad,

"Rhea," the first girl said with a casual wave, leaning forward slightly. She had short auburn hair and matching eyes that scanned Reid's team with mild interest. "Silver rank. I specialize in mid-range control types."

"And Aria," the other girl added. She had darker skin, long braids pulled into a tight ponytail, and a more reserved expression. "Gold rank. Support-type tar."

A brief silence followed.

"See?" Daniel clapped both his hands together, "not that hard. Now it's your turn, juniors."

They all turned automatically toward Reid, who, very clearly, had zero intention of participating in Daniel's forced icebreaker.

Clara sighed and decided to be polite, "Clara, Gold rank."

With her lead, the others followed, introducing themselves one at a ti before it only remained Reid and Owen.

The latter, being completely absent from the world of the awake and he didn't seem intent on returning anyti soon.

So that left only Reid.

Rhea for so reason seed really, really interested in him, proven by the glints in her eyes as she looked at him.

"And you?" she asked, chin resting on her palm. "You're the famous Platinum, right? Youngest ever? What's your na again, Reed? Raid? Reid Fletcher?"

Her interest earned her a glare from Lisa, but either she didn't notice or didn't care, instead, she leaned in even closer.

"So what's your type?" she asked casually.

"…Excuse ?" Reid asked.

"Forged beast type," she clarified with a smirk. "I'm trying to figure you out. Platinum at your age, is unheard of....well except her."

She pointed at Elizabeth who still had her eyes closed before leaning in close and whispering, "but everyone knows she's a monster."

"so what's your forged beast? combat, support, control?" She completed.

"..." Reid wondered for a mont before he sighed and simply said, "yes."

"Huh?" That successfully confused her but before she could ask anything else, Daniel interrupted, "damn, you've grown a lot stronger than the last ti we t."

Null looked at the interaction between the kids before turning to Reid, if they were this surprised, what would be their reaction if they found out that he could get a lot stronger?

Now he didn't know how the mortals of this world categorized their strengths, but he was sure Reid was stronger than most.

Now that he thought about it, wasn't he the strongest mortal he had t so far?

Daniel, oblivious to Null's thoughts, continued, "Last ti, you and your team barely kept up with . Now look at you, platinum rank. Makes wonder what exactly they're feeding you juniors these days."

Reid didn't bother replying.

Alex, on the other hand, was also keeping an eye on him, it felt like he was trying to co to a decision before he suddenly sighed and stood up.

He walked a short distance forward, before stopping directly in front of Reid. Due to the light in the aircraft, his shadow was cast on Reid and his red eyes seed to glow faintly.

Reid looked up at him, with no expression on his face and everyone else looked towards the two, even Elizabeth's eyes were now open as she focused on the two.

But before anyone could say anything, Alex suddenly bowed a full ninety degree before saying, "I owe you an apology."

His voice was low as he spoke.

"I know I was an asshole to you back in the scrapyard," he continued, "and I know an apology doesn't magically undo that. But I still need to say it."

The entire cabin was quiet, even Reid just looked at the bowing form of Alex. He was a bit surprised at the sudden apology, but it felt sincere.

It felt like Alex was genuinely apologizing.

"You don't have to forgive ," Alex continued, "I just had to get this off my chest."

He stood up straight again and took sothing out of his inventory, it was a blue tal can, with frost still on its surface.

"You can throw it away if you want," he said, extending it toward Reid, "but… it's all I have on right now that could count as a peace offering."

It was a simple energy drink, one that was maybe ten credits at most, but it was a gift offered in sincerity.

'So that's it,' Reid ntally thought, before standing up.

Raising his fist, he slamd it into Alex's jaw causing him to fall to the floor and drop the drink.

"Damn, I've always wanted to do that," he said with a chuckle before crouching and picking the drink up, "with this we're even."

Reid extended a hand to help him.

Alex was a bit surprised at the attack but he just placed a hand on his cheek before taking Reid's hand and standing up.

"Thank you," he muttered but before Reid had the chance to respond,

Boom!

"What the hell was that?" Dean asked as the aircraft shook.

Null looked out the window before smiling, "I guess you'd call it out welco party."

BOOM!

The aircraft shook again and this ti a hole was opened at the left side of the cabin, luckily they weren't all sitting so they avoided being thrown out.

Well... except Reid and Alex who were suddenly violently pulled out of the aircraft.

"Reid!" Lisa called out.

"I'll see you down mortals," Null said, suddenly standing close to the hole ripped on the craft.

Without warning, he jumped down without the least bit of hesitation.
