"Open your mouth quickly, if you don’t eat this, I might kiss you here."
Nancy didn’t look like she was joking at all.
Zhong Li didn’t know what was going on with her, but she was worried that Nancy might actually kiss her here, so she opened her mouth and ate the sashimi.
Not far away, Qi Shangyu was watching them, his stern face involuntarily darkened.
Facing Qi Shangyu, Xia Mo turned around to glance at Zhong Li’s side, smiled, picked up a goblet, and gently swirled it, causing the red wine to leave light red marks on the glass wall.
"Is having dinner with boring? Why do you keep looking elsewhere?"
Qi Shangyu withdrew his gaze, folded his hands on the dining table: "Xia Mo, we’ve known each other for so long, so I won’t beat around the bush with you. We’re just not suitable for each other, and as for my mom’s talk of marrying, that’s even less likely."
Xia Mo brought the goblet to her lips and took a sip: "Don’t worry, I won’t force you. I’m full now, take ho."
"Okay." Qi Shangyu stood up from his chair, glanced at Zhong Li unobtrusively, and then left together with Xia Mo.

The next morning, after breakfast, Zhong Li was ready to go to work. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Nancy standing in the hallway.
"Let’s go, I’ll drive you to the company."
Zhong Li casually closed the door: "No need to trouble yourself, I can take a taxi."
The previous night Zhong Li had returned in Nancy’s car, and her car was still in the company’s underground parking lot.
"Just transfer the taxi fare to via WeChat later, hurry up."
Zhong Li hesitated for a few seconds, then followed Nancy into the elevator.
Once out of the elevator, they both got into the car, Nancy leaned over to fasten her seatbelt, turned the steering wheel, and drove out of the neighborhood: "Would you consider coming back to work?"
"No need, I’m quite satisfied with where I work now."
Zhong Li rested her hand on the car window, replying without thinking.
Nancy glanced sideways at Zhong Li on the passenger seat, and said nothing more.
The car quickly stopped at the company entrance, Zhong Li unbuckled her seatbelt, pushed open the door, and got out: "I’m heading up."
Nancy nodded through the open car window and then drove away.
Assistant Wang had just parked his car and witnessed Zhong Li getting out of Nancy’s car, the ignited spirit of gossip spurred him to rush over: "You’re sothing, keeping it hidden so well."
"What?" Zhong Li didn’t understand what he ant.
Assistant Wang glanced in the direction of Nancy’s departing car: "You actually got out of President Gu’s car, were you together last night?"
With how gossip-filled this guy was, Zhong Li really didn’t want to comnt.
"It’s not like how you imagine."
"Don’t deny it, President Gu is handso and loaded, perfect match for you."
Zhong Li no longer wanted to explain, he had already assud there was sothing between her and Nancy, explaining more would only make him feel she was trying to cover it up.
As they chatted, they walked towards the elevator, completely unaware of Qi Shangyu behind them.
Standing in front of the elevator, Zhong Li raised her hand to press the button, Assistant Wang asked again out of curiosity: "Since you’re already President Gu’s woman, why not work at your own company?"
"I’m really not in the kind of relationship you think with him." Zhong Li suddenly felt as if she couldn’t clear herself even if she jumped into the Yellow River.
