"You weren’t like this before. When did I beco soone else to you? In college, you clearly said you wanted to be with forever. I finally waited for you to co back, hoped for you to return, so how could I beco soone else?"
Han Siyu’s tear-filled eyes were brimming with grievance. She had thought she’d settle things with Gu Nanxi tonight, but now everything was out of her control.
Gu Nanxi removed Han Yaxin’s hands from his waist: "Alright, stop crying. It’s late; go back to your room and rest."
Han Yaxin looked at the closed master bedroom door, stomped her feet in frustration, and stord into the guest room.
Zhong Li waited in the hallway for quite a while before the locksmith arrived. Wrapped in her knitted cardigan, she couldn’t help but sneeze.
After entering the room, Zhong Li took out so money from her bag and gave it to the locksmith before heading back to her bedroom to sleep.

The next morning, as Zhong Li had just put on her coat and opened the door to leave for work, she ran into Gu Nanxi and Han Yaxin also coming out of their room.
"Good morning, President Gu." Zhong Li greeted with a radiant smile.
Gu Nanxi shot a dark look at Zhong Li, said nothing, and strode forward.
Han Yaxin naturally took Gu Nanxi’s arm: "Nancy, you must help teach Han Xi a lesson later. If it weren’t for her, our family wouldn’t be in such a bad state."
Zhong Li grabbed Han Yaxin’s wrist, her delicately made-up face filled with hostility: "Aren’t you in this situation because you asked for it? Now you want to incite your boyfriend to harm others. If you dare lay a finger on Han Xi, I will make you regret it."
Han Yaxin forcefully shook off Zhong Li’s hand and yelled recklessly: "Who are you? You really like to ddle, don’t you? Han Xi is nothing but an ungrateful wretch, a heartless snake."
With a "slap," Zhong Li’s raised hand landed hard on Han Yaxin’s face: "I’ll be waiting to see you in an even more miserable state than now."
Han Yaxin clutched the stinging side of her face, montarily stunned, realizing she had been slapped by an assistant.
"Nancy, you need to fire her imdiately! How dare she hit ? It hurts so much."
Han Yaxin, tears streaming down, leaned on Gu Nanxi’s shoulder, her eyes glaring at Zhong Li as if she could burn a hole through her.
Yet Gu Nanxi had no intention of speaking up.
Zhong Li raised her head and looked at Gu Nanxi: "President Gu, do you know how many n your girlfriend has slept with? I suggest you don’t treat her like a treasure."
"Stop talking nonsense and stop slandering people. I think you’re just trying to get Nanxi’s attention. You just want to climb into his bed."
Zhong Li gave Han Yaxin a disdainful glance, then turned her gaze to Gu Nanxi: "President Gu, you can investigate whether I’m talking nonsense or not."
Isn’t Han Yaxin just trying to snag a rich guy? Well, today I’ll make sure she fails. I must ruin this for her.
"Do you have anything else to say?"
"What?"
Zhong Li was a beat slow in reacting to what he ant.
Gu Nanxi pushed Han Yaxin, who was clinging to him, aside and leaned closer to Zhong Li: "Like maybe you want to climb into my bed?"
"Not at all. I have absolutely no improper thoughts about you, President Gu. I know my place very well."
Zhong Li calmly t Gu Nanxi’s gaze, her red lips curving into a faint smile.
