"I’ll take you to the hospital imdiately." Lu Jinghan anxiously turned the steering wheel and got on the main road.
Han Xi slightly turned her body, raised her hand to tuck loose hair behind her ear: "It shouldn’t be a big deal. Just call Doctor Liu to our ho for a look. ng ng just went to our place, and I’m worried about leaving her alone."
Lu Jinghan glanced sideways at Han Xi, his brows furrowed tight enough to crush a fly: "Let’s go to the hospital, Sister Zhang is at ho watching ng ng, it’s fine."
"Okay, that’s fine then."
Sitting in the back, Wen Yichen was quietly watching the street scenes outside, headphones on, a stark contrast to his image of fiercely protecting his sister at the Su Family.
The car soon stopped at the hospital. Lu Jinghan got out and circled around to the driver’s side to open the door for Han Xi, supporting her as they walked towards the lobby.
With his headphones still on, Wen Yichen quietly followed them.
After registering for the ergency departnt, Lu Jinghan helped Han Xi to sit on a bench in the corridor; there were quite a few people being seen for ergencies this evening.
"Did your back get hurt when Su Mochen pushed you earlier?"
Han Xi raised her head, her clear eyes lightly gazing at Lu Jinghan: "It doesn’t hurt much, don’t worry."
Lu Jinghan pulled Han Xi into his arms, saying nothing, yet his heart ached for this girl. He shouldn’t have taken Han Xi to the Su Family for dinner.
They waited a long while before it was their turn, and Lu Jinghan held Han Xi’s hand as they entered the consultation room together.
"Doctor Han, what’s happened to you?"
The ergency doctor accepted the registration card, adjusting the black fra of his glasses.
Han Xi sat down with a gentle smile: "It seems like the wound on my back might have opened a bit."
"I see, let take a look." The doctor walked behind Han Xi, bending over to lift up her shirt: "It has indeed opened, might need to be stitched again."
Lu Jinghan worriedly looked at Han Xi, then turned to ask the ergency room doctor: "The wound on my wife’s back has been stitched twice already, is it okay to do it again?"
"Don’t be too nervous, it’s just a tiny part of the wound that has opened, plus I’ll administer anesthesia before stitching Doctor Han."
The female doctor from the ergency room took out a dical kit from the sterilization cabinet, leaned beside Han Xi, and whispered: "Your husband is so worried about you, you’re lucky. If you know another good guy like him, rember to introduce one to ."
Han Xi blushed slightly and smiled softly: "If there’s a suitable one, I’ll surely introduce."
After giving Han Xi anesthesia, the female doctor started stitching her up. Throughout the process, Lu Jinghan held Han Xi’s hand, wishing the injured person could be him instead.
Once the stitching was done, the female doctor prescribed so dicine for Han Xi before they left.
Upon returning ho, Song ngng had already been coaxed to sleep by Sister Zhang. Han Xi changed her clothes and went to bed.
Lu Jinghan stood on the balcony taking a call. Seeing that Han Xi was getting ready to sleep, he finished the conversation quickly and hung up.
He stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, pushed the balcony door open, and lay down beside her: "Does the wound hurt?"
Han Xi snuggled into Lu Jinghan’s embrace, wrapping her arms around his narrow waist: "The anesthesia hasn’t worn off yet. Doctor Zhang just gave so painkillers; if it hurts, I’ll just take a couple of pills, don’t worry."
"Rember to call if it hurts tonight."
"Okay, I know."
Lu Jinghan kissed Han Xi’s cheek and held her as they slept.
