When the cold blade slid across the skin and cut into the flesh, Han Xi bit her lip tightly, beads of sweat breaking out on her forehead from the pain.
"Xiao Xi......"
Manman’s voice trembled as she couldn’t bear to look, only crying continuously. How did things turn out like this?
Feng Yi had clearly just gone on a business trip, and now he was kidnapped by drug dealers, forcing Han Xi to exchange herself for him.
Blood kept flowing from the wound on Han Xi’s back, staining her clothes a dark red.
About twenty minutes later, the wound was stitched up, as Han Xi had to go to the airport soon and couldn’t let Liao Tingxiao’s people notice anything amiss, so she didn’t get any anesthesia throughout.
Now Han Xi’s face was pale with pain, and sweat soaked the strands of hair on her cheek as she endured the pain to go upstairs and change her clothes.
Manman supported Han Xi as they ca down the stairs, and Fu Bin spoke with a heavy gaze, "Little Sister-in-law, you must be careful. I will follow you with my n all the way."
Han Xi nodded, "Let’s hurry, we don’t have much ti."
Manman cried as she embraced Han Xi, "You must co back safely."
"Don’t worry, I’ll be fine."
Han Xi lifted her hand, trying to wipe away the tears on the girl’s face, but couldn’t wipe them clean.
"This is anti-inflammatory dicine, make sure to take it, otherwise the wound will get infected. Also, make sure to protect yourself."
Han Xi took the dicine from Manman, her eyes red, and nodded.
Manman supported Han Xi as they walked out of the villa. Before getting in the car, she held her hand tightly, "You must co back, you can’t die."
"Silly girl, don’t cry. With so many people following , nothing will happen."
Han Xi got into the back seat of the car, the pain in her back making it impossible for her to lean against the seat, "Fu Bin, let’s go quickly."
Fu Bin, in the driver’s seat, nodded. He glanced at Han Xi through the rearview mirror, unsure if Lu Jinghan would lose his mind once he found out about this.
In any case, he couldn’t worry about that much now. After all, Feng Yi and so many others’ lives were in Liao Tingxiao’s hands; it was the only solution for now.
Manman stood in the cold wind, watching Han Xi’s car drive farther and farther away, her heart aching more and more.....
At the airport, Han Xi didn’t let Fu Bin follow her inside. As soon as she walked to the center of the hall, two n dressed in black approached her.
"Excuse , are you Miss Han?"
Han Xi nodded, her pale face devoid of any color.
"Mr. Liao sent us to et you, please co with us."
Han Xi took out her phone from her pocket and dialed Feng Yi’s number. The call was quickly answered, "Xiao Xi, did you get to the airport?"
"Your n are right beside . When will you release them?" Han Xi had to ensure Feng Yi and the others’ safety.
"As soon as you board the plane, I will release them. I’ll video call you after we hang up."
Han Xi turned her head slightly to look behind her; Fu Bin stood in the corner not far off. She looked at the two n and said calmly, "Lead the way."
The two n politely gestured, and Han Xi followed them toward the boarding gate.
As soon as she boarded the plane, Liao Tingxiao’s video call ca on WeChat. Han Xi pressed the answer button, "I’m on your plane now. I need to see you release them."
"No problem."
Liao Tingxiao signaled his n to untie Feng Yi and the others, while the phone’s cara stayed focused on them throughout.
