The host held the microphone with a delightful smile, waiting for the two people’s response.

"Our relationship in private is indeed especially good." Gu Beichen looked at Chu Ci, eyes filled with undisguisable affection.

Chu Ci averted her gaze, which happened to fall on Fu Bin beside her, whose face was dark.

"Sorry, Chu Ci is dressed quite lightly, I’m worried she’ll get cold. Let’s end the interview here."

The host initially wanted to ask sothing more, but was blocked by Gu Beichen’s words.

"Beichen really cares about our Chu Ci, watch out for the steps underfoot." The host reminded them of the steps as they turned away.

Upon entering the venue, Fu Bin directly removed Gu Beichen’s hand from holding Chu Ci’s: "I heard Mr. Gu wants to beco my child’s stepfather?"

Chu Ci reached out and tugged Fu Bin’s sleeve, signaling with her eyes for him not to stir trouble.

Gu Beichen smiled slightly and nodded: "That depends on whether Chu Ci agrees or not."

Fu Bin reached out and pulled Chu Ci directly into his arms, speaking dismissively: "You probably don’t have a chance; our family of three is doing well."

"Chu Ci, I’ll go sit down first."

Gu Beichen chose to ignore Fu Bin; after all, this was a public venue and people from their circle were watching. If they actually argued, it might beco headline news.

Chu Ci nodded apologetically to Gu Beichen.

Fu Bin draped the coat he had around Chu Ci and led her to their seats: "You seem to like letting him hold your hand. What did you two say on the red carpet just now?"

"If you’re going crazy, go sowhere else to do it, I don’t want to deal with you."

Chu Ci had only allowed him to hold her hand because she was afraid of falling in high heels, and they were just casually chatting on the red carpet.

"What’s wrong with you, woman? You don’t want the child’s real dad but insist on finding a stepdad?"

The more Fu Bin thought about it, the angrier he beca, his face growing increasingly unpleasant.

Chu Ci tightened the coat around her, smiling with a very official posture as she looked at him: "When did I ever say I wanted to find a stepdad for the child? Are you out of your mind?"

"Well then, stay away from that Gu Beichen in the future; he has ulterior motives towards you."

"You don’t need to ddle in my affairs. We don’t have any relationship."

Chu Ci maintained a constant smile on her face, knowing there were a lot of caras on-site. She didn’t want news of a couple’s argunt or alleged discord making headlines tomorrow.

After all, in the public’s eye, she and Fu Bin were a pair.

"Young Master Fu, long ti no see."

A female star who had just walked the red carpet ca in and sat eagerly next to Fu Bin: "Sister Chu Ci, we haven’t seen each other for quite so ti, right?"

This actress had previously worked with Chu Ci on a film, so they were acquainted.

Chu Ci nodded in greeting to her, turning her body to chat familiar with the person next to her, clearly unwilling to engage with her.

"Young Master Fu, maybe we can catch up over coffee another day. Even if we broke up, it’s not like we have to completely cut all ties, right?"

Fu Bin raised an eyebrow and smiled: "I have a family now; my wife wouldn’t be happy about it."

"Sister Chu Ci, surely you wouldn’t be so petty, right?"

The female star bypassed Fu Bin and directly asked Chu Ci.

Chu Ci turned her head, glancing indiscernibly at Fu Bin: "Of course I wouldn’t mind."

Fu Bin was almost livid enough to vomit blood; he leaned close to Chu Ci’s ear and asked quietly, "Would it kill you to say you mind?"
