The Rogue System [BL] Chapter 30 - Powerful yet powerless

Altren gritted his teeth loudly. "Well, fuck you, uncle! I am not going! I will not go back there! Ever!"

He just flew away, biting his lips tightly.

Just thinking about going back to that academy brought him bad mories.

Mighty lights academy....

People say that it is the most prestigious academy that any super can ever get into,

But for him, that place was a living hell. Because he had been staying there since his birth.

His mother, who worked all day long, ditched him there and left.

Growing up with narcissistic heroes was tough.

Not only that, his powers used to be super weak back then, and he used to be short.

Many made fun of him..

Bullied him....

"Don’t think about it.... he must be just joking. He would never send back there. He knows I hate it there...." he mumbled, flying over to the rooftop.

The flas had already been put out; leaving only white smoke that was clouding on top of the building.

He safely landed on the roof. "Zhu knag, don’t whine. I’m not in the greatest of mood...." but there was no one on the rooftop. "Where is he?"

"Did he jump off and die!" he hurriedly ran to the corner and looked down. There was no dead body or any signs of blood.

But there was a suspicious hole in the middle of the roof.

He glanced in. An aging couple looked up.

"Hi there," he waved at them.

"Are you Alta?" the old man glared up at him.

"Yes?"

"I’m suing you," the man grumbled, sitting back on his sofa with difficulty. "At least that’s what that young man told to do. And you owe us fifty for the extinguisher and the floor is wet,"

Just hearing that lifted his mood. "he really said that?" Altren happily jumped in.

The lady tremblingly glared at him. "The floor is wet!"

"I’ll clean it, don’t worry," Altren walked over to the teeth kitchen and cleared his ss up. While squeezing the water off the cloth, he couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

"Convincing others to sue ... that’s hilarious. That guy really is entertaining.. wonder where he went after making a ss."

There was a high probability that Zhu Kang made a ss at this house just so he could make him clean up.

Even that made him laugh louder.

"Hey old man?" he glanced out.

"What?"

"A person who teases you and helps lie for you, is that person considered your friend?"

"Of course." The man whispered, raking a hand through his sparse white hair. "Are you friends with that young man?"

Altren froze. He was presently in Alta costu. Confirming that he is familiar with Kang will put him at risk.

"no, he is my enemy."

Aaron walked directly over to the counter. "miss, soone just got admitted here with a ....a head injury. Can you tell how he is?"

"May I know the patient’s na and what relation he is to you?"

"Zhu Kang... he is.. he is soone I know," Aaron softly whispered holding the counter anxiously. The marble counter cracked slightly.

"Zhu Kang.... I don’t see a Zhu Kang here, sir. Can you give when and where he was picked up from?"

"At Theo street, it was a fire!"

"Oh yes, most of the patients are in the ER. Few of them still haven’t been ID’ed. You can go in and check-in with the doctors and see if your friend is there,"

"Thank you," Aaron bolted but shortly after he ca back. "Where is the ER?"

"Go straight and take the second right," the woman kindly smiled at him.

Aaron did not wait any more minutes here. He dashed through the hallway over to the ER. He poked his head in. A few beds were lined up with privacy screens fully closed.

A doctor noticed him and opened the door from the inside with a dull look on his face. "are you here to see a patient?"

"Yes... a man.. About 5 foot five tall, black hair. He got here from the fire in Theo street. Oh, he has covered in fire extinguisher chemicals,"

"Oh! This way," the doctor led him over to the second bed. "two ca in with white dust, all over them. One of them had second-degree burns while the other had blunt trauma to his head.

"The latter one, is he... okay?"

"A few stitched and he will be back in shape," he rolled away from the privacy screen. "we have given him painkillers. We have scheduled a few scans and tests. After which we will treat him accordingly."

"That must be wrong. He is badly hurt, how can you just dawdle in treating him?!"

"We need to know what is wrong with him to treat him. The tests will reveal everything. Don’t worry, his case seems a minor head trauma. Won’t be needing that much treatnt except so strikes,

"You must be wrong... he was bleeding so much. See.." he showed his hands which were still covered in blood. "He was bleeding,"

The doctor held his stiff shoulders. "Yes, I understand. He is a healthy young man and will be rolled into surgery after all his scans. Please sit down and calm yourself, sir,"

Aaron wiped his unshed tear. "Can I borrow your phone please?."

"Sure," the doctor gave him a reassuring look before leaving to check on the other patients.

Aaron dialed the familiar number. "Hello, I need to talk with the owner of Heath hospital. Tell him that there is a person I know who needs ergency services and needs to be treated RIGHT NOW!"

A few minutes later, three senior doctors rushed to the ER and Zhu Kang was taken to be treated.

For the first ti in his life, Aaron felt helpless. Even with superpowers, he couldn’t do anything to save or heal the one he liked.

He had all the power anyone could wish for yet.... he was powerless to protect the one he liked.
