Ye Xingguang didn’t press further: “What did you order?”
The waiter was already bringing the dishes one after another.
Xia Siyuan said: “I ordered at random. Not sure if it’s any good. Cousin, why don’t you take a look and order more if you want.”
Ye Xingguang had eaten there a few tis: “These are fine. Once we’re finished, we can order more.”
Mo Yinhe sat in the seat next to Lin Hanfeng. Once seated, he picked up chopsticks and started putting food from the table into the pot. He seed to have inherited Ye Xingguang’s love for hotpot.
While eating, Ye Xingguang chatted with Xia Siyuan: “Where have you guys visited these past few days?”
Xia Siyuan said: “We didn’t do much the past two days, just went out today. We visited the Sacred Tree; that Love Mirror was truly amazing.”
Ye Xingguang asked: “Did you test it?”
Xia Siyuan shook her head, feeling blissful inside: “I didn’t, but Hanfeng did, and the Love Mirror showed .”
“Oh my, congratulations!”
Xia Siyuan gladly accepted, smiling widely: “Thank you, cousin. We later went to the Underwater Amusent Park and tried the spiral slide. It was so much fun and thrilling! You won’t believe it, but a sea snake tangled with us. Luckily, we escaped quickly. Wait, let show you the photos I took.”
The two won kept chatting non-stop while enjoying the hotpot.
Occasionally, Lin Hanfeng interjected a word or two, mostly focused on cooking and scooping food into Xia Siyuan’s bowl.
Feeling competitive, Mo Yinhe also took the initiative to scoop for his mom. He’s a quieter eater, not saying a word unless spoken to, but he eats with great effort.
What Xia Siyuan ordered didn’t satisfy Mo Yinhe’s appetite, so he ordered a lot more and tried all the signature dishes.
Ye Xingguang looked at the photos Xia Siyuan took: “Oh, this one ca out well.”
Ye Xingguang was referring to the selfie of Xia Siyuan and Lin Hanfeng together. Xia Siyuan unexpectedly leaned her face toward Lin Hanfeng, posing in a kissy-face style often used by couples. Xia Siyuan imdiately laughed: “Cousin, don’t tease .”
