"Ian, I must go ho. I’ve stayed longer than I should have and I do not want to disturb you. So please, let go," Scarlet said, raising their hands. They had been like this for a few minutes now and after allowing it at first, Scarlet was ready to put so space between them.

"I will take you ho," Ian replied, keeping his hold on Scarlet’s hand. "Just give a few minutes."

"You do not need to take ho. My ride ho should be outside. You have work to do," Scarlet said, secretly trying to slip her hand away from his. "I will see you another day."

"I don’t have any more work to do after this. I’ll leave everything else to Owen so just wait for . Stop trying to run away," Ian said, tightening his hold on her hand. "It wouldn’t be a good look for to just send you off."

"I have guards," Scarlet reminded Ian. There was still light out so anyone trying to harm her would not do anything now when many could see unless they were a fool. "This is only day one. You’ll have plenty of days around . Why are you acting like tomorrow will not co?"

"I would love to have dinner with you. I enjoyed it when I sat with your family. It’s been a long ti since I experienced what it was like to sit down like that. Would you have dinner with tonight?" Ian asked, wanting to experience it again.

"Didn’t I tell you to stop having so many pitiful stories?" Scarlet asked. She couldn’t help feeling sorry for him. "I don’t want to witness Alana gushing over what she thinks this is."

Ian smiled as he had the perfect solution for that. "Then, have dinner at my ho. You can pick which one you would like to visit and I will prepare dinner for you. Or are you too scared to be alone with ?"

"I don’t think you would do sothing I wouldn’t like," Scarlet answered. He had been respectful from the start, though there were tis he didn’t listen and liked to hold her. There was a greater line he could have crossed but he didn’t.

"You misunderstood , Scarlet. You were the one with the dream about . I was asking if you are afraid that you won’t be able to keep your hands off . Not that I would tell you to stop. My offer still stands for you to make use of . All of -"

Scarlet covered Ian’s mouth with her hand. "I would like you to stop offering your body like a prostitute and when will you stop bringing up that dream? I can take back what I said and go back to the contract relationship. Do not push there. You!"

Scarlet moved her hands after feeling Ian lick her. He did it without checking that her hands were clean.

"Since I know you can keep your hands to yourself, will you join ? Or will you have eat dinner alone like I have done for most of my life?" Ian asked, playing into the pitiful stories Scarlet spoke about.

Ian was ready to leave to be sowhere the chances of them being disturbed were low. Too many fools had been coming here recently with one being here not long ago. While he had plenty of ti to enjoy this new beginning with Scarlet, he wasn’t ready to part with her yet.

When he experienced a good dinner thanks to her, it was hard not to want it again.

"That will not work on . I must be out of my mind. You can co to the estate," Scarlet extended the offer to him. "Alana doesn’t like to eat alone and I don’t want her to be seated at that table without . My parents shouldn’t be visiting tonight so you have nothing to worry about. You will eat and then leave."

There was no making use of the room he claid to own in her estate. While Scarlet said that his pitiful stories of his past didn’t work on her, that was far from the truth. Scarlet felt sorry for Ian missing out on what it was like to have a good relationship with his family.

Scarlet didn’t want to imagine what life would be like if she had an awful relationship with her parents.

Ian stood up first and then helped Scarlet to stand. "You look like you have sothing to say to ."

"It is nothing. Let us be quick," Scarlet said, pulling Ian’s hand so he could follow her to the door. It was getting late so it would soon be ti for people who want to drink their lives away or have a good ti to co here.

Scarlet wasn’t in the mood to deal with drunk fools. It was already hard to stomach them when they were sober.

Ian gladly allowed Scarlet to lead him out of his office. She wasn’t paying attention to the fact that she was the one holding his hand. Ian switched their position so he would be the one in front to open the door for Scarlet.

"Such a gentleman," Scarlet acknowledged.

"Thank you for noticing," Ian said, closing the door behind them. "Does the gentleman get a kiss?"

"If you are opening doors for only to be kissed, then no," Scarlet answered.

Scarlet didn’t think it was fair for Ian to keep ntioning her dream because, with the way he acted, he must have thought about being intimate with her as well. There was no way that he was so touchy and never once thought about them being that way.

She would get the truth out of him by the end of dinner.

As they walked out to where Owen and the others were preparing to open the doors for evening and night custors, Scarlet didn’t notice that she was still holding Ian’s hand because her attention was on the door. More so to what was happening on the other side of it.

While Ian was glad that Monica was not present, the sight of his father wasn’t any better. Did all these people get together and plan that they were going to co one after the other to annoy him?

"Bear with this for a mont," Ian said to Scarlet as he let go of her hand to place his arm around his waist. He needed her closer so he could better escort her around his father. "Ignore him."

Ian had nothing to discuss with Hank unless they were going to be speaking about Noelle. He was not going to follow in his father’s footsteps nor attend any of the parties being hosted in honour of Victor.

Rather than have Scarlet wait inside while he got rid of his father, Ian continued to walk to the front doors which were then opened by the guards.

"There you are. And you are with Scarlet," Hank said, delighted to see that their relationship was still going well. There should be a wedding in no ti. "Your guards made the mistake of not letting in."

"It is not a mistake. Unwanted visitors are not allowed in. Find sowhere else to drink," Ian said as he went around his father.
