David exchanged a sowhat surprised glance with the Dragon Father. It seed neither of them had expected this trip to achieve its goal more smoothly than anticipated.
Guided by Erickson, a group of enormous dragons imdiately took flight toward the Supre Dragon Court located at the peak of the main mountain on Dragon Island.
Once David and his companions moved, the other dragons around who had the right to enter the Dragon Court to see the Silver Dragon King all flew over as well.
This included Sebriz’s father, an elder of the Dragon Court, and Shalaina’s martial arts instructor for the Claw of Justice, that old fellow.
The Silver Dragon King awakening from his slumber was a significant event, regardless of whether it was because of David’s visit or not.
Even in the mory of Dragon Father Attilicia, he had only had the fortune to et the Silver Dragon King twice when he was young.
As the near-sky-darkening throng of dragons arrived, even the sacred and majestic mountaintop of the Dragon Court began to bustle, with the younger dragons who lacked the privilege of entry waiting eagerly outside the hall.
Though the Supre Dragon Court was called such, it actually resembled an open-air Dragon Nest sculptured out of the mountaintop by the Silver Dragon. To David, it looked more like a Frozen Throne bearing both royal and divine hallmarks, bitterly cold.
That was probably why only dragons worked there—if it were humans, they would all undoubtedly suffer from chronic cold-related leg problems.
Even so, along the way, David saw plenty of the Gold Dragons who worked there placing animal hide pads under their bellies, so with faintly glowing red magical runes, almost like they had stuck heating pads to themselves.
Seeing all these Gold and Silver Dragon Priests, even Internal Affairs Officers, so engrossed in their tasks, so seemingly absorbed in calculations, made David curious.
With Dragon Island isolated at sea with no natural predators, what is everyone so busy with? he thought to himself.
"Let have a look," said David as he passed a young Gold Dragon’s ’nest station.’ He casually lifted the slate of stone the dragon was ’working’ on and took a closer look. Damn! It was riddled with Dragon Script formulae that made his head spin.
As David grabbed the slate, four dragon heads of different colors crowded around him—his three daughters and Dragon Sister Tania—all gazing at it with interest.
Tania, especially, who had gone to school unlike her older brother, was particularly intrigued.
David quickly skimd the text and discovered that it was calculating the defensive forces and supply needs for a war?
The complexity of the troop formation and the vast amount of supplies suggested it was no small skirmish.
Were these tal Dragons busy conducting inter-planar warfare?
He had heard nothing of it!
But then David noticed familiar place nas within the lines.
Luerwaden, Dewensen?
These places were either mired in turmoil for half a century or had been at peace for hundreds of years.
David ca to a conclusion he found ridiculous:
This Gold Dragon was simulating a completely non-existent war.
Definitely out of sheer boredom.
[Arrogance]
David imdiately felt he had cracked the case. This tal Dragon was probably just incredibly bored, playing ’war simulation gas’ at his workstation to slack off!
Yet, the Gold Dragon, whom David had largely equated with openly slacking off, was now in a panic.
"Give it back to quickly! This is a divine prophecy!"
"What?" David was taken aback, unable to make the connection between divine prophecy and slacking off.
After all, neglecting divine will could indeed be considered sacrilege.
Hearing the commotion, Gold Dragon Priest Erickson quickly turned his head and sowhat helplessly intervened, "Prince David Uthos, please do not disrupt the work of our colleagues."
"Got it, got it," replied David as he imdiately stuffed the slate back into the Gold Dragon’s embrace, opening his claws wide to show he ant no harm.
But because of the sheer difference in size and strength, his sudden release made the Gold Dragon lean backward unsteadily, nearly slipping on the ice. This scene attracted quite a bit of animosity and dissatisfaction from other Dragon Priests.
As David’s gaze swept over them, the Dragon Priests quickly covered their assigned divine prophecy slates with their stout, pristine bellies.
Still, Tania, as shrewd as if she could read David’s mind, managed to spot a few details and whispered to her elder Red Dragon brother, "I saw a little! It’s also war simulation, and all about Elariya, without exception!"
"Well done, Tania!" Despite being increasingly baffled by the answer, David still smiled and affectionately patted Tania’s giggling head with his tail.
Was Bahamut foreseeing an imminent war? David couldn’t help but wonder.
But that’s not right either...
Because the data in the war simulation he saw earlier simply did not match reality!
But before David could figure it out, they had already arrived before the ’Frozen Throne’, their gait comprised of small, quick steps.
Perhaps due to the Silver Dragon King’s awakening, the blizzard at the mountaintop intensified, reminding David of so unpleasant experiences.
Like when he abruptly encountered the Platinum Dragon God in The Decayed Domain.
Especially when the silhouette seed to blend into the snowstorm, it bore a striking resemblance to the King of the North Wind, though it was much smaller in size.
No, wait. Even for a Silver Dragon King, isn’t that a bit too small? he thought.
Considering the Silver Dragon’s growth cycle, this Silver Dragon King could have only just reached the ancient dragon stage not long ago.
