"It feels like... OUCH, OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!" Fearing David might perish, his dragon dad, Attilicia, rushed to the scene imdiately. He was almost instantly obliterated by the still-not-fully-cooled-down David; Attilicia’s silver scales were instantly roasted to the color of a cooked shrimp.

He hurriedly sprayed himself with a couple of icy breaths to avoid being roasted on the spot.

"Hmm... unparalleled power. If it weren’t completely unnecessary, I feel like I could even take on that old Blue Dragon, Patrice." Still feeling a bit heady from the transformation, David looked down and saw the crevices between his scales seemingly emitting a crimson glow.

[Arrogance]

But this wasn’t entirely out of pride; the failed ’ignition ritual’ had truly, albeit temporarily, endowed him with destructive power sufficient to rival legends. Energy, almost infinite.

"The only pity is that this power fades too quickly."

After so deliberation, David estimated that his ’peak state’ could only be maintained for about 152 seconds.

But this was still very impressive!

In this short period, less than three minutes, he could enter an ’unlimited firepower’ mode, all while buffed by [Extre Efficiency].

In other words, if he wished, he could transform into a Red Dragon continuously spewing its breath weapon for a full 152 seconds. Or he could effortlessly cast all sorts of spells, completely ignoring their cost.

A veritable moving natural disaster.

This suddenly sparked a ’dangerous’ idea in David’s mind.

Instead of letting it go to waste, couldn’t I... use it for sothing?

anwhile, his dragon dad, Attilicia, was utterly shocked by David’s response.

"Legendary power?!"

He then imdiately recalled Pafila, who had also demonstrated power bordering on divinity with a single Fission Chain slash...

Yes, this wasn’t strange at all... This was the kind of power one should expect at the sa conceptual level. The only pity was...

Dragon dad Attilicia imdiately said with a wry smile, "However, judging from the results of this experint, our initial predictions were a bit... overly optimistic."

"Oh? You an we might not be able to complete this project within six years?" David imdiately looked towards Attilicia, his designated ’Project Lead Dragon.’

Attilicia stated with near certainty, "It’s not ’might not’; we definitely won’t. See for yourself."

David then saw the electromagnetic turbulence chart, which looked like ’a tangled ss’, and murmured to himself, "The unpredictability of the plasma ion turbulence trajectories, huh?"

"Yes. After actual experints, we discovered this thing isn’t just difficult to asure; it’s completely unasurable. Just as we observed, it’s entirely random in real-ti," Attilicia said, sounding sowhat disheartened.

And that was just one of the problems they faced. Just repairing this Tokamak device could take them a year or more.

David naturally understood that since the results were entirely random, they couldn’t effectively constrain the magnetic field based on pre-calculated trajectory models. Thus, so-called ’controlled nuclear fusion’ was out of the question.

But David, whose soul was from another world, had a different, well-established solution for such completely random phenona.

"Then why not build a model to perform real-ti trajectory prediction?"

Attilicia, upon hearing this, sounded even more exasperated, "That would probably require every single Mana Energy particle to be calculated into the model. Such a massive volu of computation... it’s simply not sothing any single intelligent being could independently calculate. Even your mother probably couldn’t do it if she tried."

David also narrowed his eyes and smiled. "Then let ’the sacred Khala’ link all our minds."

"Huh?" Completely unfamiliar with this reference, his dragon dad was a bit baffled, feeling he couldn’t quite keep up with his son’s train of thought.

David, now completely cooled down and returned to his ordinary draconic state, coughed twice and explained, "My aning is, if we can’t calculate it, we can find sothing—or, perhaps, create sothing—that can perform such large-scale computations. Speaking of which, are there any creatures that possess a hive mind? We could kidnap a few and try using them as processors."

These words indeed opened up a new line of thought for Attilicia. Scratching the ’goatee’ on his chin with the tip of his tail, he said, "Creatures with a hive mind, you say? Slis?"

David comnted with so disdain, "Their individual units are too fragile. I’m afraid they’d likely cause a chain explosion on the spot."

"Abyssal Demon Fish? They can use psionic energy to link the mories and thoughts of all creatures within their range."

David imdiately shot his father a look one might give an idiot. "Aren’t you afraid it’ll steal all our mories?"

Even I, who am usually pretty unfazed, find that kind of creature dangerous.

However, having brought up psionic creatures, both David and Attilicia’s eyes suddenly lit up, as if they had thought of the sa thing simultaneously.

"Spirit Suckers?" the father and son dragons said in unison, grinning slyly.

Or rather, the birthplace of the Spirit Suckers, and also the nexus of their collective consciousness: the Elder Brain!

"Let’s go. Ti to hit the Gloomy Region," David sighed with a touch of resignation.

It seems after all this, we still have to make a trip to the Gloomy Region first.

"But it’s just as well. Incidentally, it’s also ti to get that old dragon, Christoph, out of there." This was a task he had personally promised to Miss Yolanda, the Dragonkin Succubus.

"Huh? Wha-? What?!" Attilicia was instantly baffled.

That’s the damn Elder Brain in the Spirit Suckers’ main nest!
