"Are you going back?"
Doro just kept asking over and over.
Mohe lifted her skirt and bowed respectfully, "Of course, my dear only king, your faithful maid will follow your footsteps at any ti and heed your instructions."
Just like that, Mohe and Doro returned to the surface together.
...
"Regarding the issue of the Dark Elves, I rember it was resolved in the eting three years ago." Lu Lu’an reviewed the docunt in her hand and couldn’t help but frown, "Why are reports related to this matter still being submitted now? If I recall correctly, the Dark Elves were guided back to the world by Father."
An official respectfully said to her, "Princess Lu Lu’an, the root of this matter is due to changes in the Dark Elves. It is suspected that ominous influences from outside the world have been cleared by the only king, causing changes in the bodies of the Dark Elves who were eroded by that power. They frankly claim they are indistinguishable from the forr Forest Elves, and thus request to return to the ranks of the Forest Elves."
"Has Father completely cleaned up the ominous influences? We’ve investigated previously, and the Dark Elves indeed beca that way due to the erosion by ominous influences. Now, returning to the Forest Elf tribe shouldn’t be a problem, right?"
"The problem lies here, Your Highness. The Forest Elves don’t want this group to return... They are all Grand Elental Masters."
Lu Lu’an understood: "The current rulers of the Elf race fear being overthrown? After all, those Elves who left were once considered by the forr Elf Queen to be people who could ensure the continuation of the Elf race. They even have seedlings of the Elf Mother Tree. From a legitimate perspective, it’s fair to say these Elves are the foundation of the Elf race — the others were the ones abandoned by the forr Elf Queen."
She naturally knew what had happened back then. Since the day her father left, she was aware that she must grow, learn more knowledge, and undertake more actions.
"What does the Nature Ranger say?"
"She requests to et Lisidorwei."
Now holding the crown of Doro is Lisidorwei, but she does not make decisions lightly. When everyone has made a decision and her power is needed, she activates the crown’s power; most of the ti, she is like an ornant — but no one can underestimate her will.
"eting Mother... she indeed has the right to do so. I will go and speak with Mother, and accompany her to et her."
"Yes."
Lu Lu’an left the place, and the figures of Doro and Mohe erged. Mohe looked in the direction Lu Lu’an departed and said to Doro, "She is far more proficient in governance than you, Mr. Doro. But perhaps, for you, that doesn’t sound like a complint."
"She grew up in the palace of the only king. The education she received and the things she sees are destined to be different from mine. She is colder in making decisions — but that’s quite comndable. I don’t intend to criticize her harshly. After all, she first went to provide disaster relief, and only then did other things, showing consideration for others. When I cannot calmly handle matters, I cannot criticize my child."
Though it’s a eting between the Nature Ranger and Lisidorwei, Lu Lu’an and Bref are both present.
These two are naturally the current two prominent figures. The Elf race is one of the major races, and their internal issues might affect the larger situation.
"Long ti no see, Lord Lisidorwei." The Nature Ranger greeted Lisidorwei, "The two Highnesses as well, are you doing well recently?"
"Thanks for your concern."
"I’m doing okay."
They both answered separately.
The Nature Ranger nodded, and then looked at Lisidorwei, "Miss Lisidorwei, I’m sure Princess Lu Lu’an has inford you of my purpose — the branch of Dark Elves wants to integrate with us. According to my personal opinion, I absolutely won’t oppose anything beneficial to the Elf race, but — this group does have significant issues. Back then, His Majesty Doro made a move on the Elf race, killing the Elf Queen and destroying the Land of the Ancestors. This branch went beyond the world with the purpose of seeking the Goddess’s retribution on His Majesty Doro. Despite being invited back to the world by His Majesty Doro..."
"You’re concerned about Doro’s intentions? I think you shouldn’t worry too much about that, Doro isn’t that petty," Lisidorwei said casually, "However, I also understand your concerns, their return will undoubtedly bring instability within your Elf race. Grand Elental Masters are strong forces no matter where they are, and so many appearing at once — they’re certainly not mute dolls."
"Exactly, Miss Lisidorwei, it’s not that I’m reluctant to give up the position of Elf Queen, but I need to take responsibility for the Elf race. When they left, it was equivalent to us being abandoned, having to find a way to survive, whether by seeking Mohe’s assistance or ultimately relying on His Majesty Doro... Now they return with seedlings of the Elf Mother Tree, claiming they are legitimate, that the real Elf Queen should let that seedling make choices, it’s really quite..."
The Nature Ranger sighed intermittently, "It’s truly unacceptable! Although, from the perspective of the Elf race, they might be right."
Lisidorwei looked at fifteen-year-old Lu Lu’an and fourteen-year-old Bref.
"What do you two think?"
Lu Lu’an thought for a mont: "Since they went to seek the Goddess, why not let Charlette govern this branch of Elves? Since they’ve been Dark Elves, they can also beco Light Elves — Charlette’s reluctant involvent in the sa realm as Father allows these Elves to be around Charlette, which isn’t belittling them. Besides, Charlette might be able to alter the nature of that Elf Mother Tree seedling, helping it grow more vigorously."
Her answer was quite clever.
After all, Charlette doesn’t have a compelling reason to agree, and the Dark Elves certainly don’t want to do such a thing. After all, letting Charlette govern... is that equivalent to ruling a race?
Lisidorwei nodded, "So, what’s Bref’s take? What does Bref think?"
"I believe this is an internal dispute within the Elf race," Bref said casually, "It can be resolved by internal processes of the Elf race, as long as it doesn’t affect other races. However they fight is fine, we don’t restrict internal conflicts within races." Bref looked at the Nature Ranger, "If the Elf race insists on our intervention, I’ll ask Miss Noel to go over there, permanently staying with the Elf race to avert so conflicts, how does that sound?"
Simply put, the Nature Ranger wasn’t too satisfied with either of their answers.
Executing Lu Lu’an’s suggestion would be very difficult — as for Bref’s, it would be akin to saying "We intend to station troops within your Elf race."
Of course, with the crown, this process doesn’t really affect anything since if the objective is to eradicate a race, the crown is incredibly useful. It’s the crystallization of wisdom honed by the Demon King, superior to all alchemy items.
"Lord Lisidorwei. What do you think is the best way to handle this matter?"
"Even if you ask ..." Lisidorwei smiled wryly, "Currently, it’s not really up to to decide, is it?"
"What?"
Next to Lisidorwei, Doro’s figure erged.
Behind him, Mohe stood respectfully.
"Father!"
"Dad!"
Lu Lu’an and Bref simultaneously shouted, "You’re back?"
Doro nodded, "Yes, I’m back. To observe your growth."
He looked at the Nature Ranger, "I’ll have Mohe go over to rework the Elf Mother Tree seedling, and then you can choose your queen according to the new Elf Mother Tree’s will, is that alright?"
"Of course, this is your will."
