Mohe’s so-called research and investigation, Doro often found himself thinking along skewed lines.

However, by now, he actually understood Mohe’s intentions.

So years ago, Mohe didn’t admit to the notion that "Doro likes her."

She believed Doro was simply driven by lust, and his interest in her stemd from her being the Demon King. n naturally desire to conquer beings stronger than themselves, to witness beings of greater power than themselves show humility, or to revel in their submission beneath them.

Thus, she cooperated fully.

As long as Doro was satisfied, his interest in her would naturally fade. Mohe could deeply understand this feeling; throughout her long years, she had been interested in many things such as Alchemy, Magic, sculpture, architecture... Once she fulfilled her cravings for a field, she would naturally lose interest and set her sights on another domain.

So, Doro was the sa... At least, she originally thought so; once she satisfied his conquest desire, his curiosity, his possessiveness, he would naturally lose interest in her. Human sayings reflect similar sentints, like "pulling up one’s pants and pretending not to know soone." Simply put, once sothing is obtained, it’s no longer as crucial to a person.

But many years have passed.

Doro and she are the sa level of life form... so their thoughts should be the sa.

Mohe never considered it this way.

Though they might be the sa level of life form, Doro now has eternal life and endless ti ahead, but Mohe knew better than anyone that Doro was a human.

At least, presently, with less than fifty years of life, Doro was unmistakably human. His thoughts were human thoughts, his desires were human desires, his understanding was human understanding. Regardless of what knowledge he acquired, the fact that he was human would not change.

A dozen years are long enough for a human.

Long enough to verify the true intentions in a human’s heart, especially since Doro had the entitlent to be willful.

The strongest man wielding violence and power in the world, he didn’t need to hide his will from anyone, nor did he need to adhere to norms for societal faces. There would always be soone to cover for his actions; the only restraint in the world upon him was himself.

He was rely adhering to a set of rules of his own making.

So, even Mohe had to admit under the current circumstances that perhaps Doro’s perception of her was not as she imagined.

There were indeed so genuine feelings for her.

Feelings...

Love.

The Demon King couldn’t discern such feelings, in truth, Mohe couldn’t discern any type of emotion — joy, sadness, pain, pleasure.

During the battle in Butuo City, Mohe claid that the Star Tear was an alchemy item that required sorrow and compassion to activate, but that was actually a lie.

After all, Mohe herself couldn’t distinguish such emotions.

Through her long life, joy, anger, sorrow, delight, union, and separation beca ambiguous and intertwined with other emotions. No single feeling seed to exist alone; the longer the passage of ti she experienced, the more chaotic her emotions beca. At certain points in history, she even forgot the nas of these corresponding emotions.

She was always observing.

Sotis she pondered, what the aning of her existence was. Perhaps, when Doro had killed her, she felt sothing akin to relief — the relief of her endless life finally reaching an end. But she still didn’t choose death; instead, she chose to resurrect, to face him again.

"Let’s clear the ominousness."

"Alright."

Mohe’s face showed a smile.

Actually, since her rebirth, she had stopped controlling her expressions much. Even though, oftentis, Doro and others assud she was just putting on airs as the Demon King, that made no difference to her. She rely went with the ambiguous flow of her emotions, reacting based on her body’s instincts, as natural manifestations of her inner self.

Mohe’s eyes turned gold and silver as her gaze spanned distant horizons: "The struggle is about to begin, Mr. Doro."

"I don’t care about the struggle itself. I only hope that, through this struggle, amongst my children, so may reach our domain." Doro expressed his thoughts, akin to Mohe’s earlier perspective of letting the world evolve on its own, hoping for beings to arise that could rival themselves.

Doro, of course, had more empathy than Mohe, or perhaps he was more selfish. So, the Seed of Blessing, the Seed of Curse, the Crown of the Sole King — if any child genuinely reached this realm, these items would suffice to be their stepping-stones to ascendancy.

But really, Doro understood better than anyone.

Without the necessary qualifications... even giving endlessly would be aningless, just like now with Charlette.

Even with nearly all the Goddess’s power, standing barely in the sa realm as Doro and Mohe, she could never contend against either of them.
