"That is the mont we are born, we are the remains of those who refuse to stay forgotten, even it ans forsaking even last shred of their rationality."

"..."

"when we are born, universe acknowledges us, it sends to an dinsion, ¤¤¤¤ , the place we call ho."

The figure added in a serious tone

"and our prison"

"it is a brutal place, made up of our kin, filled with our kin, we fight, devour each other, combine for all eternity"

"and why are we here then?"

"patience."

"it leads to one of the two outcos, either we kill each until lose even that last shred of defiance within us, becoming part of the prison. Or we adapt, to each other, creating a whole new being, one with no correlation to our past."

"These beings are crowned kings of our world, they rule their own terrorities, called layers."

"yet they stay confined, feeding on whatever fells to our world"

"Wait... backtrack a few minutes I thought you said only people who were forgotten end up there"

Figure smiled.

"I never said that. You assud that is the case, after all you have never seen it"

He tone grew more and more omnious as he said

"Even stars and worlds can be forgotten, and everything that is forgotten strives to beco part of our world, we are sister of oblivion, neighbour of void. We are the [][][][][][][][]."

"Sure, it would sound more epic if I could hear it but whatever, and I will assu these "kings’ would try to escape their ho"

"why do you think so?"

"You said it yourself did you not?"

Rowayne immitated the figure’s tone as he continued

"with enough will anything is possible and also there is no such thing as a perfect prison"

"Right"

"Kings themselves can’t leave, they are too strong, and in our world, the stronger you are, the deeper you are connected to the world and harder it is to leave"

"So how do they do it?"

"thats the beauty, they don’t, not personally"

"once in a while, a traveller might enter mistakenly, or a gate might open, though the probility of latter happening is near impossible, the forr happens once in a while."

"The kings provide them protection, in return the traveller takes back a piece of the king, to their ho, knowningly or unknowningly"

"The kings cut piece of their own body, and soul and give them to the travellers, and that pieces are us"

"I am an avatar, a fragnt of the king, born from the piece of king’s soul"

"we are slaves, a placeholder, a vessel"

"We start by devouring the travellor themselves, we devour their body, soul and mind, we beco travellor, we replace them"

"we go their ho world, corrupt it from within, until the ti cos and we open the gates to our world"

"You said its near impossible for a gate to open on its own, totally impossible to open it from inside, but from the outside?

Its easier than you think, very easy if you know where to look for, and we, being part of the king are always aware of where our ho is."

"What’s next?"

"we fullfill our purpose, We ceast to exist, and the king decends"

"why are you here then?"

"Our circumstances had been unique, A travellor ca and he requested sothing from our king, in return he willingly offered to nurture us, until we are strong enough to be a proper vessel, stronger than any other ordinary vessel should be, pure, a complete replica of our king."

"I have spent 20 years in this world, 5 in a place they called facility, The place I ca to call my ho and other 15 running from my fate"

"perhaps if I were an ordinary vessel, I would have been able to complete my mission"

"But... i wasn’t an ordinary vessel, Those 5 year changed , and now I am just a failure, a dead failure. A traitor to my kind"

"Do you regret it?", Rowayne looked the figure, at its eyes, the eyes that were showing emotions, emotions deeper than he had ever witnessed in his short life (7 months lifespan, for the win).

"I..."

Drip. Drip.

Tears fell to the ground as the figure moved his lips, making himself talk despite shaking

"I.. Don’t regret, I cannot regret my actions,

I... "

It said the last past silently, barely squeezing out a wishper "Made a promise"

"A promise, I can no longer keep..., I promised them I will protect this world regardless the price, I wanted to protect them too"

"But I... i.. Killed them, by my own hands"

"I needed power, I was too weak, I needed power"

It looked at Rowayne, its face a sobbing ss

"I killed them... i couldnt protect them..."

The figure looked to be at pain, he did not know what do to.

In the back of his mind, a mory tucked at his heart, it was Roanne’s mory

When she was little, people ignored hers, maid beat her, all for their own sick entertainnt.

She was in pain too.

True, Roanne’s and Figure’s situation could not be more different.

But during that period what did Roanne want the most?

Rowayne thought and he reached out.

He pulled the figure in a hug. He did not know how to comfort the figure, he knew whatever he said will have no effect on the figure, simply because Rowayne and figure did not know each other, they were strangers who t under strange circumstances.

So the best he could was hug him, because, from the mories and feelings he could infer, in her hardest tis, all Roanne wanted was a hug, from her nanny, to be told that she mattered by the only person she saw as a parent.

Rowayne and figure’s situation was different but he hoped that a hug, would comfort the figure, even if they were strangers, the least he could do, was lend a shoulder to it, to him.
