“Thank you, Mrs. Ye. We’ll do your best,” the young woman said confidently stretched out her hand to shake He Xiyan’s hand. She could not fully express her gratitude toward He Xiyan.
He Xiyan nodded and said, “Alright. Go and do whatever you have to do for the business and please send periodic progress reports. If you need to hire additional manpower, you could use your connections within your field of work but feel free to contact if you have any other questions regarding the investnt capital or need other connections.”
She did not lack money and she would have to invest this money anyway. She hired a financial planner to invest in so funds or equities but she didn’t manage to earn any money and even lost quite a bit of money on two stocks, so she thought that she might as well use this money to invest in so creative start-ups. She didn’t have the ti to manage a firm, neither did she have any managent experience, so the best solution was to invest in a firm as an investor.
If the business she invested in did well, she would be able to make a large profit that could be many tis her initial investnt. If the business failed, she would just treat it as a failed investnt since it was not a lot of money anyway.
After she left the coffee shop, she went to a tall building that had 137 floors. This building was made up of twin towers and it was the tallest building in Ye City. This building was mainly comprised of high-technology firms, so this building was known as the technology towers.
He Xiyan entered the B block of this building and pressed the button for the 78th floor. She used to work on the 32nd floor of this building so she was very familiar with this place. There was a short robot cleaning the corridor, another robot trimming the plants, and another robot that resembled Baymax stretched out its hand and made a welcoming gesture as it said, “Hello, miss. Please bring along your identification docunts and follow to complete the registration process.”
He Xiyan was speechless.
She followed this robot to a screen and there were many options listed on this screen: visit, interview, learning visit, eting, leave a ssage, etc.
He Xiyan selected the second option.
She was here for an interview today and she truly missed being in the workplace for it was a place where she wouldn’t complain, where she wouldn’t let her thoughts run wild. Moreover, she felt as though she could only be truly valued when she was at work.
Although she only had four years of working experience, she had not stepped into the workplace for more than a year after getting married and giving birth. Furthermore, she knew that everyone at this company was the cream of the crop and she didn’t think that she fit their criteria.
