I did not bother with conversations after that and if he wanted to, I would have joined but he didn’t give any hint for that.

I returned to my room and sat on my bed. I was pushed down by him, even Lysar never did that, Tristan was far from this.

I observed sothing, n were interesting. Not only did they take their egos and ranks on their sleeves, they even carried their so-called superiority.

What superiority did he have? If he was the king, then I was his queen too.

Also, what was the reason?

"Your highness," rilyn spoke and I felt her hand on my knee as she sat beside on the floor, "Did sothing happen?"

My chosen fate is . . . Like shit. I wanted to say, just like I heard ti and again in the market. "No, why?"

She nodded carefully, making wonder. "Nothing, it is ti for lunch. You have been sitting here for a long ti."

Ah, so that is why she was concerned.

" It must be a feast." I muttered looking at my hands. Weeks ago, for this day I would have been so excited. I would have been jumping but now, I could only see his changed eyes.

We made it to the hall which was bustling with energy and joy. The savour prince was here! My father roared loudly in laughter and The Prince laughed along with him. I did not know if it was out of politeness over the both of them actually getting along together. If they did then my opinions from what I currently had for the prince was seriously going downhill more than I liked.

Everyone took to their seats and by my father’s command the feast began. The seating arrangent has changed according to the new authorities. At the head chair of the table my father decided and completely opposite to him sat The Prince at whose right I sat.

"I hope everything was alright with the tea." He spoke and glanced at .

I nodded. What did you an by that I do not know. Was he trying to say that his behaviour was to be excused and I was not to look down on it?

"Prince Terrence," my father bellowed with a smile and I knew that he was already drunk.

"Sir." He nodded respectfully, completely ignoring the father he was talking to a drunk man.

"I read the letter sent to by your mother. I believe that the wedding has been brought forward which ans that Genevieve we would have to learn your customs a week before marriage."

The young prince nodded and I watched the entire exchange with allerted mind.

"However since the wedding is only two weeks away I propose that you leave to your country along with Genevieve one day after today."

Estelle’s eyes bored into and I could even feel Mira’s on mine.

He just sold , did he not?

The prince narrowed his eyes, "So soon?"

My cheeks heated up as I understood or thought that I did, at his question. He was clearly taken aback by my father’s approach. It was obvious that no father would want his daughter to be taken away to another kingdom for marriage and he would try to delay it and keep her close to him for a few monts longer where mine was ready to send away the day after.

I felt like being thrown away to the side as of I was of no use.

"When she has to learn and the sooner the better it would be for all of us. And her father, I do not want to hurt you suffer from any kind of problems in the court."

Just take away.

" I suppose," the prince nodded. " The sooner the better."

Wordlessly I continued with my lunch barely making through it alive.

********

"This was not fair!" Estelle shrieked. "It’s still two weeks. Two weeks of preparation for you and us but fatger had to send you a week earlier, what is that supposed to an! Does he not care for any of us? How desperate do we seem!"

" Yes," I muttered, " very desperate." I spoke from the bed that I was lying on as I stared up to the ceiling of it. I felt pretty numb at this point because even though I had expected my father to be quite a heartless man I had never expected him to simply throw away.

"And the prince! How could he just agree to it? Had travelled to our country for 5 days and now he wants to return back after two? Everybody would think that sothing happened." She kept on muttering.

"Yes."

" Also how did he just agreed to take you a long? He should have thought about it! You would probably be the only lady there along with a bunch of n and gods. We have to send proper guards along."

" Hm."

The pacing stopped. She appeared in front of and frowned, " What are you doing?" She whispered. I was lying down on the bed and she was facing while being supported by her arms that were on either side of my head.

" What are you doing?" I asked her instead.

She raised an eyebrow at that. " Where is your mind?"

I blinked as I thought about it. " Sadly, I do not know." I said as I shook my head.

She sighed and leaned back to sit down beside . Just as she was about to talk about sothing the door opened and one of my ladies in waiting walked in.

"Your highnesses," she bowed down, "The Princess requested your presence in the garden. He would like to have a stroll or two with you in the gardens."

*Ah yes!" Estelle chirped up. "That is exactly what we want! Whenever The Prince wants you to go running towards him!"

I was in no mood to comnt which is why I simply moved and got ready for it. Every eting I have with the prince I have to look my best.

Marilyn got ready and along with one more lady in waiting moved outside to the gardens. I joined the prince and the rest of our servants and made walked behind us.

"I hope you did not take offence to how I behave in the afternoon." He said with a charming smile which had completely taken aback.

I was not expecting him to say such words and that made think that maybe he was having a tired mind and now in the late evening after he had probably taken an afternoon nap he was in his complete senses.

"No, not at all your highness," I smiled gently, "are you well rested now? Perhaps you might want to go to bed early tonight. It would help you shake off all the tiredness."

He smiled and I realised why people said that he was so charming. It could instantly attract people towards him. His green eyes always seed to Twinkle. "Thank you so much for your concern princess. I was actually thinking of that as well."

We fell silent after that and I realised that we had watched the small man made Lake that we had fitted into the gardens. It was sothing that my mother always wanted to have as it seems to be the perfect spot for afternoon tea.

"It is a grave matter because of which my mother had to resort to pushing the wearing forward. I hope you understand but I cannot explain you the situation better than my mother can." He murmured as if he did not even want the servants ten steps away from us to hear a tiny bit of a. If he was taking such precautions then I truly wonder how Grave the matter originally was.

But the fact he ntioned his mother again in the second conversation we have had today did not go unnoticed by or perhaps it was just what Queen Emalia wanted. She had saved the seeds of doubt into my mind and I had really wondered about the situation.

Which is why I decided to go ahead and gamble.

"Your mother is an intelligent Woman. I admire the kind of Queen she is. She is my true ntor after my mother." I praised and a smile ca to his face. It seems to be natural, not sothing that was forced onto his base which told that it’s truly valued his mother. And if the smile was not forced then how was it that he was a puppet?

"She is." He agreed, nodding his head repeatedly. "Even without the presence of the King she has managed to take the kingdom to new heights without having us co near to ruins. In fact, everyone in the court highly values her opinion."

All praises? But I guess that was obvious as he would surely not distressed his mother in front of .

He stopped and I stopped along with him. I turned to him with an ever gentle smile on my face. "Is sothing wro—"

The words stopped in my throat when I saw the prince bending on his knee with ring in his hand.
