Tristan answered, "your sister is awake. Would you like to et her now?"

"How long has she been awake for?" Because I had felt his eyes on for a long ti. He had not spoken until I had finished the entire bowl.

"For quite so ti, but she has not moved from the bed yet. The woman Marilyn put in charge of her has just been called now."

Astonished, I closed my open mouth. "You are able to hear all that?"

He nodded. "I can hear a lot more. It grows with age and then you learn to focus on what things matter to you. I would like it if you ate so more but perhaps you want to go to your sister?"

"I would like to go to see my sister." I told him. Catharine was a priority of mind at the mont. I could only wonder what was going through her mind.

She had found her family after almost a year and then her sister was taken away from her for an entire week and she was not inford about what was going on. It was a wonder that she had not fought her way inside my room.

Tristan nodded and stood up first before offering his hand. I took it as he pulled my chair back to help get up. Unlike all the tis when he would insist on using his speed to cover a distance quickly, he took his ti.

As much as I want you to feel annoyed by eight, I did not. I wanted to spend ti with Tristan and that need overtook anything else. What effect he had on , everything just beca more palpable.

A small twinge of unhappiness flared in my heart, when I realized where we were. Katherine was in the room next to the queen’s quarters.

"I suppose you would not like to co in with you." His displeasure was clearly shown on his face.

I tsked. "I cannot introduce her to you before I tell her everything and that is going to take a lot of ti. She needs stability and I’m not giving her new information that might scare her."

The disapproval and displeasure did not go away from his face. I received a half hearted nod. "I see."

"I—"

"Your grace," Irene stepped forward to make her presence known, and then extended to what she held in her arms. It was a shawl.

She explained, "since you do not want Lady Catherine to know, maybe you should cover up the wound?"

Ah, yes. I nodded in acceptance and she placed it around in such a way that it covered my entire neck, but also gave my hands a good amount of room to move around.

If Tristan had been disapproving of everything before, he seed angry with the situation at hand.

As much as I wanted to soothe his worries, I could not. Instead, I just reciprocated what he had given and then opened the door to enter my sisters room.

As I closed the door, I leaned against it with a heavy heart. Why did it seem like a very difficult decision that I just made? An imnse amount of guilt landed on my chest as I decided to take a step further.

It was very clear to why this is happening. The whole marking and making things was making a few effects on my life that I did not welco and I should have been previously told about.

"My sister needs ." I said, to myself mostly so that it would be easier for to move forward. My family, my blood needed .

A maid stepped out and bowed when she found standing at the door. Behind her, Catherine ca forward and frowned when she saw the maid before her eyes caught the sight of .

"Evie!" She yelled, grabbed her skirts and lifted them before going towards at full speed.

She slamd into . Then wrapped her hands around in a very tight hug that almost made squeal with pain.

"Alright," I pushed her back, not being able to take any more of it. "Why don’t I sit down and lay your head on my lap?"

My darling sister, as innocent as ever, agreed and I found myself at a much better and comfortable position.

"Where have you been? Why did you leave alone? Even Marilyn will not tell anything. And is she a lady because I heard people call her that? I don’t understand what’s going on then you leave alone for an entire week. All Marilyn told was to sleep, drink and eat and then do it until you ca to visit again. Why did you take so long?"

I chuckled. "I will tell you if you give a room to speak. Do you have any more questions? Can you hold off until I answer one of them at least?"

She twisted her face at my words before shaking her head. "Now, tell why I was kept away from you for a week."

"because I was sick, Katharine." I found myself saying. "You could not et because I was very sick."

"But why? You have been sick many tis in your life and I always co and visit you. At least they let enter the room if they do not allow near you but I was not even allowed to lose this room."

"I was sick very badly. I could not even get up from the bed and everyone thought that it might have been communicable. If it could spread easily, it would hurt you the most because I see you, at the mont, as the weakest person I find in the palace."

Catherine got up to sit before standing up and staring down at .

"What?" I asked.

"There are not many tis in life that you have lied to , but I can tell that you are lying to now. What is it, Sister? What happened?"

Before I could even say sothing, a horrified expression took over her face, and she gasped. "Oh, dear God, you are bleeding!"
