"With you." He answered with a frown. "I have to be introduced to my sister-in-law."

"S-sister-in-law?" I stuttered a little before shaking my head. "That is Catherine—"

"Who is your sister. Hence, I stand corrected."

Yes, she was my sister, but I did not want him to be introduced to my little sister first. Catherine was not Estelle and she would not understand the change that happened.

"Yes, yes you do stand corrected." I am not ready. "But you cannot just et her. I just found her today."

Tristan squinted his eyes slightly before they returned to their original shape. He nodded a little before indulging , "Pray, tell , why can I not et your sister, Genevieve?"

Why indeed? "Well," I looked at the door before coming back to him, "I did not let your aunt et her and I am saying the sa for you, she needs familiar faces at the mont. Those faces are mine and marilyn."

"And mine," he added. "She needs to et , the—"

King.

"The man you are going to marry." He finished. "I am going to be soone of importance in her life and I want her to know that. The sooner you introduce to her, the sooner she will accept in her life."

"She doesn’t—" I stopped myself, "Not right away, Tristan. She needs stability—"

"She has it." He said, his voice having finality. "Co with ."

With him? "I said no, Tristan."

He turned back to him, his eyes narrowed a tiny bit before he smiled and vanished.

Blinking twice, I found him standing beyond those close to behind him. With a gasp, I ran into the dining room behind him. Maryln was still behind my sister but my younger sister was staring at Tristan like she had seen him before.

"You."

I turned to Tristan from Catherine. How did he know her?

"Catherine." He nodded. " I told you that I was going to introduce myself to you soon. I am Tristan and I am the soon to be husband of your sister Genevive."

"Gi-Genevive?" Her eyes bounced in between Tristan and . "But my sister is already married. To Terrance."

Marilyn panicked and I did too. Tristan was not very welcoming, whenever my na was taken with other n. In fact, he was quite quick to anger.

"Terrence was not soone quite suited to your sister. They never ever married. However, your sister and Tristan are quite happy together and want to marry each other."

"Marriage," Catherine whispered and then finally turned her biggest eyes towards . "You are getting married to him?"

"What of Terences then?"

She seed to Sir innocent asking that question, while being concerned about a man who had a mistress on the side. A mistress who was very much pregnant. Christian was not like in the conversation and I could tell that by the stiffness of his shoulders.

"Terrance after soone else. He was marrying out of the queen’s wish. It was being done out of duty from our sides but now he is married to another woman whom he is very happy with."

"Oh," her eyebrows shot up quickly, "I did think that he would fall in love with another. That is not fair to you."

It was not fair to , I guess, but I had found soone more important to . I had found my Tristan who would not be here today if I had been married to Terrance.

"Yes, it was not fair." I stepped past Kristen and settled into the chair that was on the other side of my sister. Placing my hand on her head, I gently soothed the flyaways. "But if I had not lost Terrance, I found my Tristan and I am very happy with who I have now."

Little Catherine thought of it before she nodded. "I suppose that it does make a lot of sense. I understand what you are talking about."

"So then," she gulped before addressing Tristan, "You Are my new brother-in-law?"

"Yes, I am." Tristan sounded quite proud of the fact. He seed so too.

"And what exactly are you?" She licked her lips. "Are you a Sir, Knight, a minister, rchant, or.."

rchant. How funny.

"King, Little Catherine. You are not aware of what has happened in this country. So far now, allow to tell you that the man standing in front of you is King Tristan of Astria."

"King?!" The shock on her face was exactly what I knew I would receive from her. My sister had been in that place for a very long ti for her to not hear about this. "Wha- How?!"

She was not exactly song to have that kind of reaction. Overthrowing such a powerful kingdom as Astria was not easy. Of course, she would have her doubts and how Tristan rules to where he was. What she had expected was he was going to cheat and deceit his way all over, and even though I wanted to tell her the truth this was sothing I could not tell her at the mont.

I wanted to tell my sister everything in private where it was just and her. Where she could ask all the questions to see without holding back.

"I know, I know," I patted her head, "worry not, little Catharine. I will explain everything to you in due ti. But first things first, fill up your stomach and then have a little bit of rest with . After that we will talk for as long as you want. Is that alright with you?"

She pouted and nodded anyway. Then, in small bites, she started to eat which relieved . My eyes went to Tristan, who nodded before walking out of the room, leaving us alone in privacy.

I stared at the closed doors for a few monts before looking away from them. Tristan was now an afterthought. My sister ca first and before anyone else.

My eyes t Marilyn, and she had the sa thought in her mind.
