"Do not walk away from !" relyn said behind , and then walked beside in front of Irene. Might I say, right in front of Irene.

"I am not walking away from you. I am walking towards the dining room. You are welco to join ."

"I cannot join you." She grumbled under her breath. "You are to dine with the king today. He has so things to tell you."

I know that, I wanted to tell her, but I did not. This is exactly what I was trying to keep away from my mind but you reminded of it. I really hoped that Tristan had thought of sothing by now and he was going to share it with .

"She’s not my new friend. She is my lady in waiting." I quietly told relyn, trying to ease her worries because I could not do the sa to mine.

"It is going to take her a very long ti to learn the sport that you did. The sport of my friend and the only person I could confide in." I reached over and looped in my arm with hers. "Even then, I believe she’s going to be my friend and not my best friend.."

relyn turned to look at as I looked in front of , not wishing to fold down the stairs in the company of super vigilant vampires. She then looked away and did not comnt anymore on what I had said.

She did not have to because we had reached the dining room. Since I was not told which dining room it was going to be, I had assud that it was going to be the one with the long table. The one where the large gatherings were held.

Tristan was going to talk to about all of this in front of people?

"I must let you go now." reyn moved away and stepped back. "Good

luck."

I nodded in great appreciation before taking a step back as Solomon stepped in front of and opened the doors.

Much to my surprise, the King was sitting alone.

I walked inside with Irene behind , but only until the doors. She stepped to the side at the end of the room as I walked forward to him.

"I thought you were going to be here with people."

"I was." He confird. "They just left as you walked down the stairs."

"They did not have to do it for ." Even though I would not have been comfortable talking about my kingdom and my sister in front of them, I just felt the need to say so.

"I am aware of what my Genevive wants." He tipped his head a little, as he said my na, almost stopping in my tracks as I made my way to my chair.

He stood out and pulled it for , before pulling off the cover of my food for .

I stayed at my breakfast and then realized I did not really feel hungry. The only hunger I felt was for the news of what Tristan had planned.

"What have you thought of doing?" I asked him, not even touching the plate in front of .

"A few things." He answered vaguely once again. "but to ease so of your worries, my rider went out yesterday, so he must be halfway across north, and by the dawn, he would be there."

That was not the case when Solomon left for my country. He was quite slow. But then again, this was a far greater ergency compared to just sending a letter.

I nodded, silently, letting him know my appreciation for it. But I was not done completely. "You must’ve thought of sothing else, sothing more. What are you planning to do?"

He tapped his fingers next to his plate, a bloody mass of at on it. I did not look at it, it’s still brought unease to my mind.

"Planning takes ti. So do strategies. Why don’t you wait until midnight? It would be easier to let you know what has been planned and how we will proceed with it."

The Tristan that I had fallen in love with in Lethoris was the man that planned everything as soon as he could. Tristan never moved without any kind of plan, and I knew as soon as he heard the news, any remotely bad news from , or from Solomon, he must have had his mind working on it already. He was just not telling on whatever he had concluded by far in his plan.

What are things so bad that he could not even let know of what he was planning to do? How bad were things on both ends? Was this country not ready to fight or was my country not worth fighting for any more?

"Why don’t you just tell how things are as it is? How long do you plan on hiding this for because I’m going to ask you this question every second of the day until I know the answer to it." my voice shook slightly, but the stand I had taken was as firm as it possibly could be.

Tristan, however, was not moved by eight, even in the slightest. He watched from the throne of a chair he sat in, appearing as if he was not even considering what I have to think about it. All what mattered was in his hands.

"Allow ," I heard from the entrance of the dining room and turned my head towards the voice that sounded awfully Familiar, "to tell you what we have thought of when it cos to fighting a war for your country and winning it."

His uncle Dominique stood in front of the dining table, waiting to be called closer by either of us, with an expectant expression on his face because he knew that I was going to be the one to do it.
