"Absolutely not!" Sir Walter bellowed so loudly that even his son, Sawyer, who was in the room flinched and jumped back.

"Martha? What were you thinking? How can we send to young girls in a kingdom full of crawling bloodsuckers?"

Mrs Walter gulped. " I did not ask her to. I did not even suggest it, she offered and I accepted. I just don’t want to bother you with any more tasks."

The frown on the face of her husband diminished very quickly hearing her words. He covered the distance in between them and took her hands in his, before placing a kiss on her forehead and speaking, "I am not bothered with what you give . I can make a detour and get your dicines for you if you tell to."

Now, I was jealous. So, I just turned my eyes to look at the wall and ignored the couple.

"But you have to send soone else for this, George. It will take you almost double the ti to carry out every task along with this one. How about you take the girls with you? They can go and get my dicine from the healer while you get the food for ho?"

"We could do that." Dorothy murmured from the kitchen door where she was standing. "Genevive and I can do that."

"Uh huh," I nodded too when Sir Walter glanced at for confirmation.

He nodded back, but then added sothing after a thought, " what will we do about the friends? This will take us at least half a day and we cannot leave him alone."

"We could always feed him and then give him his dicines. After having them he would be out for the entire day anyway." Sawyer shrugged. "He is not exactly welcoming our care, so I don’t think we should force it on him."

He sent a cheeky wink my way making smile and look the other way just so no one else would notice it. He was in the room when the prince showed courageous attitude after being rescued by .

Perhaps that was what he just needed.

Sir Walter appeared to be in deep thinking and we all waited for his answer anxiously. It was when he finally looked down for a quick second before he looked up at us and nodded.

"Alright then," he said, "tomorrow Cian and I along with Genevive and Dorothy. Both of you girls can go and get the dicine from the healer while my son and I gather the goods required. Is that alright with you?"

"Yes."

"Yes."

With a resigned look on his face, Sir Walter looked at his son who also nodded. "Well then," Said he, "We should get going by the sunrise if you want to get there on ti."

******

Before dawn, Dorothy woke up and after getting dressed for the day, we were all in a carriage that was being driven by Sawyer.

I thought that when Sir Walter said about leaving after sunrise, that we were going to have enough ti for refreshnt.

Stifling a yawn, I lightly punched the back of my hand to get rid of the drowsiness. The night was difficult, especially after spending a lot of ti in the palace where it was full of activities. One of the particular activities that I had never found the origin too.

Even though my nights were now filled with extre silence, I could not help but Replay every incident that happened in my mind. Sotis, I felt like what happened was too easy and They planned for it to happen in front of and sotis, I wonder if it had actually happened. They let it slip, that they had actually been careless in front of .

By the ti we reached the markets of the capital, we were well into the morning. Sir Walter was right for us to move before the sunrise. Otherwise, we would have made it in the afternoon.

After Sawyer paid for the parking of the carriage, Sir Walter ca near rest for the slip of paper in his hands.

He extended the paper into my direction and once I took it, he said, " this is the address of the healer. He is quite famous but he lives inside the capitol, in the slums so you will have to find him."

"Slums?" Dorothy repeated. "Would it be safe for us to go there?"

"Dear child, I would not be sending you there if I was not sure that it was entirely safe." He smiled. " It is an unspoken bond between the people of the slums, the healer treats them without any cost and he demands paynt only from those that are capable of making it. So, in turn, they do not hurt or rob those coming to pay, which reminds ," He pulled sothing out of his pocket before handing it to Dorothy, "this is for the paynt and a few extra coins in case you girls want to buy sothing."

He Pointed towards a particular direction, behind us. " You can start from there. Ask around the people, they have no problem giving directions. And for the rest, I’m sure Dorothy will take care."

"Yes sir," Dorothy bowed in front of him before grabbing my hand and pulling around to work into the direction that he had told us.

Since it was the morning, it was not as crowded as it would be during the late evening. The vendors selling custom eateries

Would install their shops in the evening and the people were flooded through the market so the best option was to get out of here before the evening descended.

"I don’t think you’ve been in the market like this before," Dorothy said, "have you?"

"No," I sneak out a smile, "it was just once with Marilyn and Gemma. And this is the second ti and I’m really hoping to buy sothing good for and you."

"Yay!" She squealed a little, "I can—" With a gasp, she was pulled to the side and I along with her since she was holding . The rest I know, if everything I could see succumbed to darkness,
