I shook my head as I stated the definition, "A coup is a sudden and violent and not forgetting to ntion illegal seizure of power from the—"
"It is an act of betrayal to the throne and On The throne sits a vampire." Sir Walter interrupted . "No matter how much you twist the words and change the definition according to yourself, it is an act of betrayal."
It was.
I was not only betraying Tristan who I had a deep love for in my heart, but also the king of Astria.
"But they dear my help," I countered, tightening my grip on the saucer. "I can provide them help with what Estelle has sent ."
He sighed deeply and appeared to be deep in his thoughts. "I do not know, Princess—"
"Genevieve, Sir Walter," I shrugged at his questioning look. "I am not a princess and you have known since birth."
He gave a deep nod. "Genevieve, I will tell you the sa thing I told your mother. Doing good for people does not necessarily have to an sacrificing sothing for the greater good and that sothing is you." He pointed his finger at .
"You are ant to do great things that you can think of at the mont and sacrificing yourself would rob everyone of that."
"But how am I to know if I am ant for it or not?" That was the question that often played with my mind. "If I am going to do great things then I will know, Sir Walter. Then I shall outlive everyone to do it."
I sighed before huffing. "What great things do we talk of than this? I am going to help various girls and not girls but boys, who know how many," I could cry for this, " and help them to escape from people that I forcefully sucking the blood out of them."
"Which is sothing we do not know much of," he argued with a pointed look. "Out of all three children that your mother has given birth to, you are the one most I like to her and you are making the sa mistakes as she did."
He must have taken my silence to go ahead because he explained further, "your mother would make mistakes when she was overwheld and most of that happened due to the lack of knowledge, as much as we could find, about the subject."
"So you want to wait and find more knowledge while those people continue to suffer?"
He nodded. "If they want, they can organize your for themselves." He comnted before taking a sip of his tea.
A mocking laugh left . "They will die if they do that!"
"And you won’t?" Sir Walter threw the words instantly like he knew where it was going to go. "What is the guarantee that they won’t kill you?"
There was no guarantee. Marilyn and Tristan had co close to once killing and if that has not happened I might have been able to say that there was a small guarantee that they would not kill .
Now, there was none for to even admit.
"There it is," he noted softly, "that is the sa expression your mother had when she admitted sothing to herself. There is no guarantee that they would not kill you, Genevieve."
I know for a fact that he did not want to make feel bad but the words did nothing but increase my urge to cry.
"I want to help them," I am quite tearfully. "In lenmore, as a princess, I had my hands bound but here when I have the solution, you are asking to wait. When am I going to have an opportunity like this? All of them are going to be together and it is going to be so easy for to.."
".. to organize a coup against the king." He finished for drily, telling without hesitance that he did not like it. "Organising sothing against those that can kill us without thinking twice. What will happen to those people after you die?"
As if those words were not enough, he added, "Your sister; princess Estelle, is as new as we are to these people, so what will you do if whatever she has sent you fails to kill or even knock them out for the night?"
"If it does nothing then we stay where we are," I shrugged. "Then I suppose there is nothing that we can do."
If nothing happened to them and they continued their drinking and partying, then we were in the sa position as we were in before. I would have to tell Estelle to send sothing better and that was it.
"Nothing more we can do," the last that was more to myself than it was to sir Walter.
Silence blanketed us again and no one tried to speak or fill it up. His mind must have wandering questions as mine did and those questions for sothing that none of us had the answer to.
"Why did you co here anyway?" He kept on staring at the table in between us. "There must be a reason other than telling what your plan was.’
He knew. "I need your help."
He nodded for to go ahead.
"I did et with the maid nad Rula and she told as much as she could. Even though I conveyed my plans to her, I’m not sure how much she could tell others about it. So I want you and your resources to tell everyone that is facing these conditions that there is going to be a chance of escape available and they are to take it and run."
He sighed loudly and closed his eyes. "are you sure that you want to do it?"
Without any hesitation, I nodded.
" Alright then," he kept his cup on the table. "You can pick your books."
I frowned, "si—’
"Your Highness," the sharpness and similarity in that was made sit up straight. "You must try on the dress so that we can look for any last-minute alterations."
I placed the cup on the table before I stood up and turned to Anna. "Let us go."
