I knew that we were near when I saw the window shaped exactly like the one in my room. Usually in rooms like that, windows were placed only for ventilation and sunlight but rather away from the healing person so that they could rest without having the sun glaring down at them.
The clearing appeared and I tilted my head looking for the chunk of skin that Tristan had ripped off. To my surprise I did not find anything. The grass was no longer red in colour rather they were a few patches that had been pulled out.
I went closer to where the pole was only to find a patch of grass there as if the pole had never been dug deep into the ground. Not only that but there was not a speck of blood around here.
It-did last night even happen?
"What is the matter, Genevieve?" Tristan’s touch on my arm made jump slightly and step away from him.
He narrowed his eyes at slightly before taking his hand back. "What is wrong?"
I licked my lip looking around the sa place where the pole was last night before turning to him shaking my head. "Nothing," I said and looked at the guards, "I think I would like to sit here."
"Here?" He repeated. " Genevieve, I think you should reconsider because there is no shade here."
There was not and I just realised that.
There was nothing here that could prove the events of last night which is why I found no reason to stay here. But how was the evidence erased? If a pole was dug inside then there should be so evidence about it but the patch of grass told everything in contrast to it.
I pointed around to the trees. "We could sit there." It was diagonal to where I was standing. The chair was provided by the trees and by the extended wall of the palace making it perfect for sitting underneath. The trees even help to cool the air around it slightly.
The chairs were placed there by the guards as we slowly walked to the area. I sat down while watching the sa area where the pole was pushed into the ground. I do not know why but my gut said that the pole was there yet the patch work was just fine! How was that possible?
I felt his eyes on . I could feel his stare as he observed watching the grass. I looked at him to find him continue to look at and boarded about catching him.
"Stop looking at ." I tell him.
He retorted imdiately, "Stop looking at the grass." He straightened his head. "What is so interesting about the grass that you are not talking to at all?"
It is interesting because it would prove to what level of dangerous you can be. It was so scary now that I thought about it. Could I be with Tristan after what he pulled last night?
I gulped and slowly shook myself out of it before turning back to him and answering his question, "There’s nothing particularly interesting."
"I’m sure," he muttereds still watching . " Do you want to have breakfast here or would you like to go to the dining hall? I have no problem if you decide to eat in the room and rest imdiately after."
Eating alone might be a little dangerous for . At least among people I could be distracted but if left alone I will constantly think about it.
"I think I could eat in the dining hall." I told him and he held out his hand. I must spend most of the ti admiring the patch work because it was already ti for breakfast. We started walking at the first entrance we found to the garden.
There were no specific gates that lead to to the gardens in the palace. Several breakings were there and one could enter the garden from any door they wanted.
I climbed up the stairs impossible slowly. My legs have started to ache but I did not want to eat alone. By the ti we reach the 3rd floor where the dining room for the family was I was heavinf slightly.
"You should allow to help you more," he said looking at worriedly, "I could have easily carried you."
I could not help but look at the teeth which beca visible when he talked by the movent of his lips. They were the sa teeth that had tore a chunk out of a man’s leg.
He snapped his fingers in front of making jumper back into the reality. "What is the matter, Genevieve?" He asked now frowning.
"Just hungry," I answered before looking away to the doors of the hall. I increase my speed towards it leaving him to follow behind. Entering the dining hall I saw that almost everyone was here including the king of the wolves.
"Good morning," he greeted with the nod of his head before appointing ahead into the room, "I do not an to be rude but we are starving."
Slightly taken a back but recovering quickly I nodded apologising under my breath and walking to my seat which was at the right side of Tristan.
I did not lookup from my empty plate when she walked behind and took his seat. The servant brought in the food and one by one every mber of the family was served starting from the kings.
"Oh! Before I forget," Chiara exclaid with excitent, "We must plan a ceremony for rilyn and Allan. They were married by human nervous but we have to throw a party for them! We must!" She clapped her hands excitedly.
Tristan looked at Allan with narrowed eyes. "Do you want to?"
"What is that supposed to an?" Allan frowned. "I certainly would not mind if a ceremony is thrown for our new life."
Everyone chuckled at that and rylin looked down shyly.
Chiara smiled as she announced, "Then it’s decide, two days from now, we shall have a ceremony for them!"
