I woke up but closed my eyes as I just opened them. It hurt when I opened my eyes. I blink very slowly before trying to open them with patience. I could feel soone in the room and it was Tristan.

"Good morning," he wished with a rare happy expression on his face. "I was not expecting you to be awake this early." He was sitting on a chair with his right leg thrown over his left knee.

"Yet, you are seated comfortably. . on a chair." I pointed out in a very raspy voice. My eyes opened partially and the vision was slightly cloudy.

"Yes," he chuckled, lowering his head before raising it up again to et my eyes, "there is only so much I can do and one of it is watching you from afar. Knowing that you are well protected calms the beast inside."

The beast that was hunting a human last night in front of . I had seen a brief image of the beast surfacing from behind and I could only pray to never see it again.

I nodded slightly not being able to see anything else as the event happened last night ca back to my mind. His screams of pain still sounded fresh.

"Do you feel sleepy?" He asked and I looked at him again, having averted my eyes previously. "Would you like to have breakfast? Uncle said that you may feel better than yesterday. If you want we can always go out for a walk."

I stared at him as he told what his uncle said. Perhaps I will go for a walk after all what happened last night did occur in the gardens.

"Walk," I said as I shifted to get up. Tristan appeared in front of using the advantage of his speed, and helped get up from the bed. "Could you ask Dorothy or Laila to co here and help get dressed?" I was in the clothes of yesterday and it did not feel nice and clean.

He nodded and turned to the door. "Solomon," then he turned to look at and said, "would you like to step down until they co?"

I frowned and pointed to the door, "Why did you not tell him what to do?" Just by saying his na, how would Solomon know what was wanted to be done by him?

"He was listening in to the conversation, Evie." He lightly pressed my shoulder and I held back the urge to hurl, "Sit."

I did as told, not having much strength of my own to stand for long. After so ti as Tristan and I continued to remain in silence Dorothy ca in my clothes in her hand.

"Your Highness," she bowed at the sight of the king.

Tristan nodded to her without an ounce of expression on his face before turning to and his eyes softened. "I shall stand outside. Please, whisper my na once you are done."

Whisper his na? I did not need any more confirmation to know that he could hear every word said inside this room.

I watched as he walked out of the room. Dorothy looked at but I placed my finger over my lips, shushing her imdiately, then I pointed to my ears and then towards the door.

They could hear every word we said.

Her eyes moved to the door and she nodded slowly, understanding where I was coming from. "Would you like to go for a bath? Or shall I bring the wet cloth and a bucket?"

"Bucket and cloth." I told her, not wanting to spend much ti moving towards the bath. The strength I had I want to save to go out and stand in the garden. I wanted to check for evidence of the events that took place last night.

Dorothy ca back with a bucket and a cloth in her hand giving a bath while I sat on the bed. Maybe it was the dicine that I had taken to sleep yesterday night, because I felt awfully tired.

I stood up for the corset to be tightened around . This ti it was done rather loosely than usual and I was thankful for that. Even though I would prefer much more for it to not be there, it was a necessity.

"I think you are ready now," she said as she placed my loose braid on my right side. I could not really see if I was ready or not because this room had no mirror.

I nodded, opening my mouth to thank her but the doors opened and Tristan walked in nodding at Dorothy dismissing her imdiately. Dorothy knew what it ant and collected the discounted items, walking out at once.

Tristan ca close to , spiking up my heartbeat quickly. He held out his hand in front of , "Let us go?"

I glanced at his hand and nodded as I placed my hand in his. Even if I did not want to take his help I needed because I could not work on my own for a long ti.

We walked through the empty corridor and staircase. I do not know how we did not see a mber of staff there but I concentrated on going to the gardens with all the strength I had.

Tristan turned to two guards who nodded and disappeared from the entrance of the garden. I did not question it as we started walking into them. The familiar feeling of being outside made feel free and more relaxed.

Looking down I stopped making turn back. Instead of answering him I slowly stepped out of my shoes. The feeling of wet grass underneath my foot made feel jovial. It truly lifted up my spirits.

"Do you want to sit Genevieve?" He asked as the Guards ca back with a chair each in their hands.

"I think I would like to walk so more first," I answered him as I turned to look at him and away from the guards.

He nodded and we started walking. I knew it was not going to be long until we found the spot where it all had happened.
