Tristan and I were having breakfast. The silence was now common between us, especially from when I confessed that I had feelings for him and no longer did.

That was a lie. I still have feelings for him but his belonging to the darkness rendered helpless about it.

So far Tristan had not asked about my late-night visit to the present which ant that Marilyn had not told anyone yet.

But I could not go on with the assumption. It could be that she had already told him but they had decided to catch red-handed. It could be that they were all waiting for to slip.

I glanced at him, he was eating his food and his complete focus was there. Did he know?

"Genevieve," He said my na, and my grip tightened on the fork, was she going to ask now? "You stay in your room all day. I would love to see you outside." His concerned eyes were not trusted by .

Shaking my head I replied, "I am fine." I did not want to et any one of them by chance.

Finishing it up, I stood up to walk out but his hand caught hold of mine. I stopped and looked at him and then glanced at his hand that was holding my hand.

"Don’t," he pleaded, "sit down with ."

I gulped at his pleading expression and nodded, giving in. I took my seat again and he held my hand in both of his.

"I do not want you to withdraw yourself Genevieve. I want to spend ti with you—"

He stopped and our attention turned to the door. Soone was knocking on it. "Co in," Tristan said.

Allan entered.

I found it slightly surprising how Allen was able to hear what riston had said. It was obvious that he had said the words as if the door was next to us but the dining room was huge. How did Allan hear them?

"We need your sir," he said grimly and glanced at , nodding in respect and then looking back at Tristan, "it is an ergency."

Tristan sighed but I could see the irritation on his face. He did not like that our conversation was interrupted.

"We shall continue this tonight." He said to and placed a kiss on my hand, making look away before he walked out and The doors were closed.

I placed my hands on my burning cheeks. I was not even used to him holding my hand and when he kissed my hand, I was blushing ss.

I stared at the closed doors before standing up. Where had he gone in such a hurry?

I stared the scones for a mont before taking it in my hand and tearing a piece. It was delicious to say the least.

I stayed around the room before glancing at Tristan’s plate. He has not finished eating when Alan had called him. I moved around the table one and noticed sothing around his chair.

Picking of the small cloth bag I frowned at the contents inside. Those were the fruits that he had been eating. Why were the here?

I had paid close attention to it soti. He did not eat a lot of food but now that I Had seen a small bag filled with the food that he was supposed to eat for breakfast I only had more questions.

Why was he not eating what was given to him? He was literally throwing it away!

I looked at his place to confirm only to find that it was the sa fruit in the bag that was in his late. I then proceeded to check his glass.

I picked it up and tilted it only to gasp in horror and let go!

What was that!

I stepped back and stumbled back as the chair fell on the ground as the liquid poured out of the following cup onto the floor. The thick red liquid.

I gasped and placed my hand over my mouth to muffle any noises. Blood; tristan’s glass had blood in it.

It flowed out in front of and I was horrified. I could not move.

The thick blood.

I had seen him nurous ti when I was snaking glances at him to drink out of the glass and then licked his lips hurriedly. He did not want any traces of blood to be seen by .

I closed my eyes at the realisation.

It has always been in front of . I was the one who always left the breakfast hall first which ant that the servants got ample ti to clean out every trace of this. For the first ti to still had left and I had not and the servants did not notice it which is why I got my hands on this evidence.

I needed to know more that this.

I stud for word not paying attention to my dress which got caught in between my foot making fall. My head collided with the table and I hissed in pain.

I grimaced at the small amount of pain I felt. Pulling my head back my fingers went to the wound and I felt sothing slimy and sticky.

I was bleeding but it was only a small woundd which is why I stood up and walked to the door hissing slightly.

I did not feel any dizziness as of now which would only aid to go to the killer without any help.

Opening the door I work out but just as I turned to the hallway, I stopped rilyn stood there.

I stopped and blink my eyes slightly. The pain was starting to get to . I could see her eyes turning little wide and the nerves around them turned. . .dark in colour.

I stepped back. What was that!

She opened her mouth and even with my slightly blurry vision I could see that properly. Her front teeth elongated and she hissed at like a demon!

She ran towards making run back.
