I tilted my head slightly when I saw marilyn standing there unmoving and unyielding.
I moved forward and stood at one step below her. "What?"
"I heard," she said, "I hate everything that you said to him."
"And?"
She shook her head as she gulped. "Do not do this princess. You must understand that everything happening will unravel with ti. But you cannot do this!" She whisper yelled to .
I raised my hand to stop her. "Do not be concerned about anymore Marilyn. I will see what I have to do for myself now."
I sidestepped her and crossed her to go away when she appeared beside climbing up the stairs.
"Of course I worry about you princess," her face could show she was about to cry any mont now, "I will always worry about you. What you are doing is not right." She shook her head and I scoffed.
I I was about to repeat what I had told her earlier but then I stopped and started to increase my pace up the stairs.
"Please, Princess," she begged as she increased her pace to match mine, "please do not do this. Please stop here."
"rilyn," I stopped and hissed, "you get what you thought was the best for yourself and now let figure out what I need to do for my life. Do you even know how it feels to be abandoned by everyone? I do not know so I can go back to my ho given that my father was the want to send your way and then I do not want to stay here with people like—"
" —." She completed and gave a small smile. "I understand what you’re talking about, princess. But only if—"
"No," I stopped her, "no I will not Marilyn." I stepped away from her and started going back upstairs when I rembered sothing making turn back to her, "if you want to tell about this to everyone I understand. Because I no longer have any expectations from you."
Her eyes glistened over and she was about to open your mouth when I turned around and started walking up stairs.
"Princess please. . ."
I heard her was but I did not stop. I had cried and mourned for her death like a maniac. I did not care if I was wailing in an alley with Tristan watching peculiarly. What I cared for was my friend who has passed away. She ca back to life and everyone else knows about it.
I would have been happy to have her back but after all that I had been through, watching her co back to life giggling and smiling without my knowledge but everyone else’s hurt the most.
I entered my room and blew the lamp. I went to bed but only stared at the roof above.

Laila woke up. I had managed to pass into sleep soti in the night. But it was barely enough.
"Which colour today, your grace?" Dorothy asked why Laila was washing my hair.
What colour should I wear? I had worn the colour of a bride and after that I had one every colour available to mankind. I had worn my night dresses continuously after being violated by n. After that I had even killed so, making want to wear red.
"Black." I answered.
Laila’s fingers stopped. "Black, your highness," she chuckled nervously, " but why black?"
I calmly blinked my eyes. "Because it’s going to be the last day of my mourning."
"This one?" Dorothy ca near with the black dress in her hands. The dress had the embroidery of gold and small linings of silver at the ends.
"No," I eyed the dress, "get a plain dress. I do not want any embroidery on it."
"Any?" Dorothy repeated, "but your highness—"
"Hurry now," I wave her off as I look out of the window in my chemise.
Once again they were not as many guards as they were in the night. It was almost as if they were anticipating an attack in the night but not morning and how is that possible?
I did not understand the reasoning behind this. There could not be a war strategy involved here.
Once again I was to have breakfast with Tristan.
I was aware of the love that I was getting as I walked from the hallway crossing many to the breakfast hall. Everyone was aware of the woman dressed in black.
Everyone knew that I was in mourning.
The door was opened by Solomon and I entered.
Tristan did a double take at my outfit and he stood up looking concern. "Is everything alright?" He glanced at my black dress, "what happened?"
I did not give him the reply imdiately rather took a seat on his right without having a fight about it. Once I was comfortable and seated I looked at him who was still standing. "I am in mourning. I have decided to mourn for everything one last day before letting it all go."
"Mourn for what?" He said incredulously, "what is it that you need to mourn for now?"
Phone now? That ans it was understandable to him when I was trying for Maryland. Because he knew that she was going to co back.
He knew yes he watched cry relentlessly. How often I talk about Marilyn with him yet he decided to let It all happened.
"Do you joke about being your beloved?" I asked him after finding the words for a long ti. "Or is it that I am forced upon you?"
"Non—" he stopped and rounded around the table and ca to stand next to while holding my hand in his. His expressions turned to full of panic, lookign startled completely, "none of that Genevieve. You are my beloved because I fell for you and you were ant for ."
"More like you were ant for and I fell for you," I muttered under my breath, "because I feel that I am forced upon you."
