Lloyd was startled he honestly did not expect she would answer his call right away.
Lloyd felt a bit awkward under Lory and Garrof's teasing gaze, he pretended to clear his throat before he answered the call "Ehm, Hi Serena, how are you? Uhm, sorry to bother you but I have sothing to ask you—"
"What am I wearing?" She coquettishly asks.
"What? No - No - No. it's not that, uh, I want to ask about an important matter here—"
"Thirty-nine - twenty-four - thirty-four inches, that's my important information only you could know, do you like it?~" Serena's sultry voice could stir any normal man that heard.
Garrof nodded in agreent saying 'I like it' At the sa ti, Lory's self-confidence was sowhat compromised, she subconsciously covered her chest.
Lloyd was flustered her whole face turning bright red, "Huh ... wait, no - no - no, I don't ask for your body asurent, please be serious!" Lloyd pinched the bridge of his nose he suddenly felt exhausted.
"Oh ... okay ..." Serena's excitent deflated.
Lloyd breathes a relief before continuing" Okay, let's talk about sothing serious, I want to ask about — "
"I wear a see-through black strapless bra and black lace underwear," She sheepishly said.
"I didn't ask that!" Lloyd shouted in frustration.
Lory threw a questioning glance at Garrof who said 'Are they always like this?'
Garrof grinned "Yes, they are always like that"
Lory gave an understanding nod, from their conversation, she more or less understood the dynamics of Lloyd and Serena's relationship. Well, she's also the type of girl who likes to tease the guy she likes, what's different is that Lloyd is too serious and uptight to handle this type of joke, while Zhao Li Xin is more shaless and cunning causing her to lose every ti.
Garrof knew the conversation would be ssy, so he signed Lloyd to give him the phone. Lloyd, embarrassed and frustrated, Lloyd also didn't know how to conduct conversation thus he threw his phone at Garrof.
Garrof caught the phone the greeted her cheerfully "Yo, Serena, how are you doing?" he flirted as always.
"Eh, who is this?" Serena's tone changed drastically.
Garrof was hurt at the vast difference in tone she used between him and Lloyd, then again this was expected. "It's Garrof," he let out a helpless sigh.
"Oh, you" Serena sounds indifferent.
"Yes, it's " Garrof swallowed his complaint then continued "Anyway, do you rember about the rock I gave you, it's been a while, did you manage to dig anything from it?"
"Oh about that!" her whole deanor swiftly changed into much more serious.
Garrof then turned on his cell phone speaker so everyone could hear. there was a banging sound from the cell phone and a mont later Serena's voice was heard "Not much... in so texts, it says that is the symbol of the flower spirit, in so texts it is said to be the symbol of the seed of life, but in another text, I found it is said to be the symbol of the beginning of life, a fertility symbol if you may say, therefore take whatever description that suits you,"
Lory tapped her finger on the table in contemplation after which she abruptly raised a question, "May I know where you got the source?"
"Whose is that?" Serena's voice suddenly beca stiff, "Is there a woman there?" she sounded guarded and suspicious.
Lory was taken aback, "Uhm...ye-ah?"
There was a long silence from the phone that confused everyone, Lory and the others looked at each other while Garrof shrugged in confusion.
"Serena…are you still there?" Lloyd called.
After a while, Serena spoke in a heavy tone almost threatening "Why is there a girl, Lloyd? Who is she - How old is she - Is she single?" Serena peppered them with questions.
The clueless Lloyd got annoyed he brushed it off "She's a new mber, why are you asking so much? it got nothing to do with you!"
'NO!' Both Lory and Garrof facepalm they can't help but curse Lloyd inwardly.
"O...oh, it got nothing to do with...with ...you said" his voice trembled like the amount of anger was about to explode.
"I'm married!" Lory piped in, "A very happily married woman!" Lory clarified further.
"O...oh, is that true..?" Serena is still not convinced.
"....." Lory pursed her mouth, she directed her gaze to Garrof and Lloyd for help.
"Okay, stop joking around," said Garrof tiredly "Can you explain where you got the source because we found this symbol in a Labyrinth that appeared in Blue Mirage city in Gray Valley," Garrof said.
"What?" suddenly they heard the sounds of objects tumbling down from the table later on they heard Serena curse a few tis after a while Serena's voice ca again, "Tell all about it!"
"Well you should talk to Miss Raven Jane since her husband is the one exploring the labyrinth" Garrof chuckled.
"Sure, Let talk to her!" Serena didn't sound like the woman who had been suspicious about Lory.
Lory didn't mind it either, instead, she found Serena quite adorable in a very scary way, that is "Hi, Miss Shawn, my na is Raven Jane, may I know where you got the source for that symbol?"
"Hi Raven, the first ti I encountered this symbol happened long before the Dark Ages war started, but just like everyone else, I completely forgot about it because at that ti I and other experts focused on the history that included Nazareth including the Lucient family because they were the only ones who had the knowledge on how to sealed Nazareth. At that ti a lot of people wondering whether King Lucas would be able to eliminate the Black Dragon or not, so they gathered a bunch of experts like as a plan B just in case the situation got out of hand, luckily it didn't go that far because honestly, we didn't find any other way on how to kill that da*n dragon so...yay!" Serena laughed wryly.
Lory heard it and chuckled, "There are a lot of people doubting King Lucas, huh?"
"That was understandable right since Nazareth managed to kill King Marcus and his Archknight and at that ti the Prince and his Archknight were still very young so people couldn't help to feel worried..." Serena's reasoning was sound but Garrof and Lloyd felt uncomfortable in front of Lory.
"So you found the proof that absolved the deep hostility between Nazareth and the Lucient family" Garrof teased.
"You should see the Luxemborough official face when I report my finding" Serena let out a raucous laugh that filled the whole room.
"Hah, you lucky they have not killed you right there?" Garrof sarcastically said.
Serena scoffed, "They needed and there weren't many people with my expertise left in the world, even before the war I was one of the best, although that changed after the war ended it was then they decided they didn't need anymore... I should have known better," he said with a sarcastic tone.
"Can you amuse for a while, Miss Shawn, I wondering what evidence have you found that makes you believe that?" Even though Lory sounds calm, in reality, her heart is beating uncontrollably.
"Well, The parchnt was written by soone who seed close to Lucient, most likely an Archknight at the ti, he said: Even though so much destruction had been wrought by the evil dragon, and many lives had perished under its dark wings, nevertheless, our King took pity on the creature for he knew that the creature was also a victim of human greed and brutality, wherefore, our king decides not to punish the creature instead he gave absolution..."
Serena took a deep breath, "What absolution King Lucient gave is not explained because I only have a small part of the parchnt...but if the absolution in question is where Nazareth was sealed then that ans the seal is not a prison but a solatium, unfortunately, that's just a theory without concrete proof"
A long silence enveloped the entire room. Luckily Lorry wasn't holding her phone, otherwise, she would probably have thrown away the phone as anger and confusion struck her like lightning in broad daylight her whole body trembled despite how hard she tried to hold it.
"You sure about that?" Garrof confird it again.
Serena felt offended when asked by Garrof "You dare to question , I already checked the authenticity of the script, I checked the paper, the ink, the writing style and all, everything is as real as gold!"
Lory walked towards the window trying to control her reaction her hands squeezed into fists, right now she didn't know how to process this information.
After everything that happened, the destruction of his kingdom, the death of his father and his father's friends who were like his uncles, as well as the death of his people, how could he accept it?
Lloyd and Garrof didn't dare disturb him, they pretended not to notice then continued their conversation.
"Okay, back to the flower symbol again, tell everything you know" Garrof divert the conversation.
"Like I said it happened a long ti ago, more precisely about a month before Nazareth managed to escape from her cage," Serena took a mont before continuing "At that ti soone quite important in Luxemborough ca to to ask for help in investigating this symbol but he didn't say the reason unless it was sothing important that was best kept secret even by my own family, I was quite curious so I accepted it but a few days later I saw his news and his entire family died in a car accident"
"You don't think it was an accident," Garrof asked probingly.
"I'm not sure...the truth is I have forgotten about it completely until you send that weird rock, is that a rock? You haven't told where you found it"
"Trust , you don't wanna know" Garrof didn't want to tell her that they got it from inside a beast.
"Who was the man that asked you about it?" Lloyd asked.
"I usually never give information for free but for you, I wouldn't mind" she back acting coy.
"...Uh, thank you?" he felt goosebumps all over his body.
"The man that asked at that ti was Samuel Albrecht"

for anyone who forgot about Samuel Albrecht, he is the man Lory, Zhao Li Xin, and the others t when they wanted to rent an airplane after they killed Maren.
He will be one of the important characters that will reveal everything that happened ^_^
