Point-of-View: Inoka Fonseka

———————————————————————————

"A-and...and that’s everything that happened...it’s all my fault, I...I should never have agreed to let her fight a Demon of Sin...," I muttered weakly, my hands shaking and my body cold.

"I’m so sorry, man...but it’s not your fault, you can’t bla yourself. I’m sure she wouldn’t bla you," Responded Zoraiz with a grimace, as he put an arm around my shoulders.

"She should bla ...what good is my healing powers if I couldn’t even save the woman I loved?" I inquired, starting to feel faint.

"I know how you must feel...when I thought I’d lost Zoraiz, I felt completely hopeless and like I had nothing left to live for. But because of you, he’s still alive, and I’m so fucking sorry that you’re experiencing that loss and grief that I thought I’d have to face. I know there’s nothing anyone can say that’ll fix this...but we need you, you’re our lifeline in this fucked up war," Replied Alexis somberly, as she sat down on my other side.

"Yeah, you’re right...there’s nothing anyone can say that’ll fix this. This happened because of ...and I have no choice but to live with it."

I think they continued talking to after that, but I wasn’t listening. I felt so hollow and empty inside...my chest felt tight, it wasn’t painful and yet it hurt so much.

My head hurts too...so does my throat and the back of my eyes. I feel cold...bit by bit, my vision was darkening further and further, their voices sounding distant and unclear as my eyelids grew heavier with each passing second.

I let myself sink into the darkness I felt enveloping , everything slowly fading as I began to slump down...

Point-of-View: Zoraiz Rafayet

———————————————————————————

"Looks like he’s unconscious...the emotional toll this took on him must have exhausted him," Remarked Neo quietly.

"I’ll take him to a room and put him on a bed," I replied as I stared at the strained expression on his face.

"I...I can’t believe Kiyana is really gone...," Mumbled Alexis sorrowfully, her shoulders trembling as tears silently stread down her face.

"Yeah...," I responded weakly, feeling a lump in my throat as I lifted Inoka up and headed out the room.

Damn it...I wish there was sothing I could do for him, but there’s nothing that’ll make him feel better after what just happened. He saved my life, I’d undoubtedly be dead right now if it wasn’t for him...he doesn’t deserve to go through this.

The only thing we can do for him now is to put an end to this war and make sure no one else dies. But...is that even possible? Most of the strongest Demons are dead now, but there are still so many of them still out there.

Then there’s Chaos to deal with, how the hell are we supposed to fight battle after battle against these impossibly powerful enemies one after the other?

It’s...it’s completely exhausting, and I just...I don’t know how much more of it I can take. I just want this all to be over already...

"I knew I could handle more than just two of you...seriously, the others should’ve listened to , this was painfully easy," I sighed in exasperation, as the two Demons lay sprawled on the ground before , too weak to get up.

After they tried to attack , very much in vain of course, I proceeded to tear them apart with my shadowy streaks, but I failed to find and hit their cores right away. I then decided to weaken them by jamming my two light energy bombs inside both their bodies.

As they exploded, both their bodies were flooded with light energy, and I continued ripping them apart. I finally located their cores, and am currently holding onto them with my shadowy streaks, to keep them from hiding the cores sowhere else inside their bodies.

"H-how is this possible...a human defeating us so easily...," Gasped Genghis weakly, coughing out blood as I slowly began to tighten the grip of my shadowy streaks on their cores, cracks starting to appear.

"L-Lord Satan was mistaken in sending you to Hell...we should have killed you while we still had the chance, while all of us were in the sa place. You...you are far too dangerous a being to be allowed to exist," Growled Leviathan, letting out a stifled gasp of agony as the cracks in his core deepened further.

"Even the low level Demons in Hell managed to kill a couple of tis...granted, I was severely outnumbered, but still. The two of you, who are among the very strongest of the Demons, couldn’t even land so much as a single scratch on . That’s pretty sad for you, must suck to die this way," I responded, as I finally crushed their cores to pieces, the two of them starting to disintegrate as I did.

"Wh-what...what an unenviable way to die this is...," Muttered Leviathan, right before he completely vanished from existence.

Alright, well...that takes care of that. Hm, but maybe I let it drag on for a bit too long, it took a few minutes from start to finish. Now that I’m done here, I should go help one of the others...I’m sure that at least so of them are struggling, so there’s no sense in staying here.

"Hey, Neo! Can you hear !? I’m done over here, so take to one of the others! Hello!?" I called out, feeling a bit frustrated as I waited a few seconds but nothing happened, "Fine, I guess you’re too worn out right now. Okay, as soon as you’re able to, send sowhere else!"

I’m not even sure he’s listening...I hope he’s okay, we can’t afford any slip ups here. If even one of us ends up killed in these battles, this whole thing will have been a failure.

Damn it, now I’m starting to get anxious about all this. What if sothing went wrong? Is everyone else alright? I’m starting to get a really bad feeling about this whole thing. Fuck, I should’ve just insisted on taking on at least five of the Demons, I could definitely have handled it!

Hell, I’m pretty sure I could’ve taken them all on solo! And if they were worried, I could’ve brought Fenris and maybe a couple of the others as back up, just to be safe!

I should’ve made it clear exactly how much more powerful I am now, I’m sure that would’ve been enough to convince them. What was I thinking, letting everyone-...okay, calm down, there’s no sense in assuming that everything’s gone wrong.

The others are all pretty strong in their own right, they can handle themselves...I’ll just have to trust that they’re all doing perfectly fine in their battles, at least until Neo is able to portal out of here...
