Blood splattered when one of the zombies’ heads was split open by Sylas’ spatial blade.

Sylas carefully looked inside it but found nothing.

Sylas frowned. He thought that since the zombies seed to be stronger than before, they had ford a core, but it looked like they hadn’t.

Strange, Sylas thought. But he didn’t linger and imdiately left the place. His main target was that mysterious figure.

He could sense the figure getting further and further away from him.

Sylas imdiately went after it without hesitation.

As he got closer and closer to that mysterious figure, Sylas could sense the trembling of the earth more clearly.

At the sa ti, he could sense a few zombies approaching him.

What’s with the zombies approaching only in my direction? Sylas thought.

Sylas could sense everything inside a fifty-ter radius, and he could not sense anything in other directions. It felt like the zombies were specifically sent or guided in his direction, which was very strange.

The movents of these zombies seed to be faster than the last batch. Sylas could sense their presence coming closer to him faster than before.

With his speed, he quickly ca face to face with the zombies within a minute.

Sylas saw their movents and frowned.

Did the zombies level up? Can they? So many questions popped up in his mind.

The zombies instantly moved toward Sylas quickly, letting out a growl.

Their movents were not stiff like the normal zombies they had encountered before.

The zombies lunged.

Their steps were not staggering, and they were not clumsy like those normal zombies they were used to.

One of the zombies leaped forward with a burst of speed, its sharp claws aid at Sylas. Sylas’s pupils shrank, and he twisted aside just in ti to avoid the zombie’s claws. At the sa ti, other zombies were attacking him. Their claws and fangs were aid at Sylas.

Too fast, Sylas thought. But they still posed no threat to Sylas.

Sylas raised his hand, space trembling in response, and a spatial blade flew out. The air twisted as the spatial blade cut through the air and attacked the zombies.

Zombie heads rolled down onto the ground. Another zombie imdiately aid its claws at Sylas’ throat, but Sylas easily dodged the attack. He raised his hand and sent out spatial attacks toward the zombies.

A thin, invisible blade sliced through the air. The zombie’s head flew off cleanly.

Sylas didn’t even need to use his space barrier to fight against these zombies, though they seed stronger.

At the sa ti, Sylas noticed that the reaction speed of these zombies was faster than that of other normal zombies. It was as if they had undergone an upgrade.

"Even their reaction speed..." he muttered under his breath.

After finishing the last zombie, Sylas imdiately cut open their heads to check for energy stones. But to his disappointnt, there was no energy stone.

If there is no energy stone, how are they getting stronger? Sylas thought. He thought this ti there would be energy stones because the zombies seed stronger and appeared to have undergone an upgrade.

Or is there sothing else I am missing? Sylas thought deeply.

Before Sylas could process it, the ground trembled faintly. It was so faint that normal people would not detect it.

Sylas quickly turned his attention toward the place where the mysterious figure was heading. The faint trembling of the earth seed to co from that direction.

Sylas imdiately left the place and headed straight in that direction.

Soon, another batch of zombies approached Sylas. Just like before, they were heading only in his direction.

The zombies’ quick movents didn’t surprise him anymore. When they t, Sylas maneuvered his spatial blade and cut off many zombie heads.

One zombie, which was at the back, brandished its claws and let out a shrill sound and pounced on Sylas while baring its sharp fangs.

The remaining zombies didn’t rush toward him blindly. They began to spread out and started to circle. They let out sharp, shrill screeches and hoarse growls.

The earth was still trembling faintly.

Sylas’s eyes snapped toward the direction of the mysterious figure.

Looking at the zombies that were attacking him, Sylas knew that it was not a coincidence.

"They’re being... commanded?" Sylas quickly ca to a conclusion. If not, how could they be heading only toward him, attacking him and obstructing him on his way?

The zombies attacked together.

Sylas’ space ability spread out, and he quickly disappeared from his spot.

The space twisted, and he reappeared above them midair. At the sa ti, dozens of spatial blades rained down like invisible guillotines, aiming straight at the zombies. In no ti, the zombies were taken down. Their limbs were severed, torsos split apart, and heads dropped to the ground.

Sylas fell down to the ground and landed smoothly. He could not levitate in the air for long.

As always, Sylas cut open their heads to look for energy stones. But still, no energy stones.

As he was checking the heads of the zombies, Sylas sensed that the source of the trembling of the earth seed to be not far. At the sa ti, the mysterious figure seed to have stopped moving.

Sylas looked into the distance and clenched his fist, space tightening around him like armor.

If he was not mistaken, the zombies seed to be under the control of that mysterious figure.

"So you finally decided to stop," he murmured, eyes cold.

Without hesitation, he turned and shot forward.

As he was getting closer and closer to that figure, Sylas’ frown deepened.

He could sense the presence of a large group of zombies. No, it was an army. An army of zombies.

So many zombies! Sylas imdiately had a bad feeling.

When he finally saw the mysterious figure again, it was standing above a building once more. And behind it was an army of zombies.

The faint trembling of the earth was coming from behind the building. It was because of the movent of such a large army of zombies.

All the zombies were gathered here in one place.

No wonder we didn’t see any zombies in the red zones, Sylas thought.
