"Master Shi, what do you think?" The slightly chubby middle-aged man cautiously cast a nervous glance at the silent man seated across from him.

There was no denying it—this man’s face was stunning, almost too perfect to behold. The smooth contours of his features, the faintly upturned almond-shaped eyes, and the pale, delicate lips ford a countenance so exquisite that even when broken down into individual elents, each detail was masterpiece-like.

However, the commanding air he exuded and the piercing chill emanating from his entire being seed to push people away, keeping them at an unapproachable distance.

Shi Wei raised an eyebrow, his deep, dark eyes lifting slightly with utter indifference. His long, articulated fingers tapped twice on a page of the docunts in front of him. "Not good enough. Revise it again."

Unhurriedly, he pushed the docunt back across the table, lit the cigarette nestled between his fingers, and leaned comfortably against the back of his chair, crossing one leg over the other.

"Understood, please give a mont." The middle-aged man, flustered, hurriedly reviewed the docunt from start to finish, a fine layer of sweat quickly forming on his forehead.

"Mm," Shi Wei replied absentmindedly.

He took a glance at the ti displayed on his phone and was just about to call the young girl at ho when a couple of WeChat ssages popped up.

Jin Yunzhi: [Image][Image]

Jin Yunzhi: Brother Wei, did I make my sister look good?

Shi Wei opened the first photo, and at the mont his eyes landed on the radiant, flower-like smile on the girl’s face, the cold aloofness in his dark gaze faded, replaced by a hint of warmth.

He flipped through the photos several tis, his eyes lingering briefly on the small animals captured in the background. With just a glance, he deduced it was Jin Yunzhi’s playful idea.

The man’s fingers tapped lightly on the keyboard: "Beautiful. When are you coming ho?"

Jin Yunzhi: We still have two more spots to visit, and we haven’t eaten yet!

A playful emoji followed from Jin Yunzhi, causing Shi Wei to shake his head faintly. After reminding him a few tis to take care of things, Shi Wei decided not to disturb them further.

After all, it wasn’t often that the young girl got a chance to go out with Jin Yunzhi. He didn’t want to co across as overbearing and risk dampening their fun.

What he didn’t realize was that leaving them undisturbed would grant that "soone" an opportunity to be alone with her.

"Master Shi, what about this...?" The middle-aged man, speeding up his pace after hours of work, nervously handed over the revised docunt once again.

Anxiously, he awaited the final verdict. Ti seed to freeze in that instant, every second agonizingly elongated in his mind.

Shi Wei gave a curt nod, his expression impassive. He tossed the docunt to Chen Cai behind him, adjusted the cuffs of his sleeves, and rose to his feet with unhurried ease.

As CEO of Xing Ye, he had countless responsibilities to handle on a daily basis. Yet, he always tried to focus his work during the day so he could free up his evenings to spend ti with the young girl.

Were it not for negotiations concerning the molybdenum mining deal, he wouldn’t have needed to personally attend to the projects brought forward today; it was, at best, an afterthought in his busy schedule.

By the ti Shi Wei returned to the hotel after an exhaustive day, it was already nearing 10 PM. Tugging at his tie, he wearily pinched the bridge of his nose, yearning desperately for a mont of rest.

"Ding—"

"Master Shi?"

The soft sound of the elevator doors opening overlapped with a gentle female voice from behind him.

Bai Shirui jogged up to him, her front bangs swaying lightly in the cool breeze as her steps created small ripples in the quiet tension of the mont.

"Master Shi, what brings you here?" The woman, dressed in a black plaid tweed suit, clasped the straps of her handbag, exuding an effortless elegance and the serene poise of a young lady from a distinguished family.

"Is there sothing you need?" Shi Wei gave her a detached glance and, upon catching the faint fragrance of her perfu, briskly walked into the elevator.

His eyebrows furrowed slightly, his pale jawline taut as his deep voice carried a discernible note of impatience.

Bai Shirui followed him into the elevator, tilting her head slightly to admire his flawless profile while offering a warm smile. "I didn’t expect to bump into you here."

When she first noticed the familiar figure, she was montarily stunned. It wasn’t until the man’s side profile ca into full view that she confird she hadn’t mistaken him for soone else.

"Mm." Shi Wei’s response remained as cold and indifferent as ever, showing no inclination to engage further in conversation.

But Bai Shirui was unfazed; she seed well accustod to his aloofness. Following his gaze, she glanced at the elevator’s panel where the floor numbers climbed steadily.

After a brief silence, sothing suddenly occurred to her. Quickly, she spoke up: "When will you return to the Imperial City? My father has a business proposal he’d like to discuss with you."

Bai Shirui’s tone was impeccably polite, her gaze devoid of the adoration or ambition other won often hinted at when they looked at him. She carried herself with the graciousness of re acquaintances, courteous and composed.
