Chapter 40: 129 (2)
Looking at my arm, it’s color completely changed into purple. My entire arm is bruised.
Running towards , Alleus looked down at .
"What’s wrong—What in the world happened to your arm!"
Just when she was about to reach for my arm, I stopped her.
"It’s... nothing."
Running over to check, Vertere scratched his head.
"What’s the matter now, it can’t possibly be that bad for you to scream about it." Looking down, his face grew pale.
"Captain, what did you do!" Lieur forcibly opened Alleus’ pouch and took out recovery potions.
Shaking my head, I declined the offer.
"We need to use those for absolutely dire situations, we can’t use them recklessly anymore."
"Just take the damn potion you rotten bastard!" Vertere protested.
Standing up, I patted him in the shoulder with the non bruised arm.
"I’ll just simply wait it out until you can use magic and heal my injury."
Groaning in frustration, Vertere went back to studying.
"Are you really okay partner?" Alleus asked.
Nodding, I strained to answer:
"...Yeah."
Please stop asking
questions, every second feels like agony.
When I was about to reach for my pouch, Lieur imdiately grabbed and opened it for .
"What is it that you need captain, I can get it for you."
"Actually, I was going to use it as a strap to hold my arm..."
Giving
a blank stare, she wrapped it around my shoulder.
"I see."
Putting my arm as gently as I can on the bag of the pouch, I focused on my breathing as the slightest brush on my arm exudes an incredibly imnse pain.
It looks like the problem really was physicality.
Sighing, looked out the window.
I wonder how many peaceful days we have left. My only hope is that no one dies before we reach the conclusion.

Alleus had a wrap of bandages that she found by accident when she pulled out a piece of chocolate from a box to eat.
Vertere skillfully wrapped my arm in bandages, making sure that it wasn’t tight but loosely wrapped to reduce the swelling while making sure that the injury doesn’t get worse. The whole procedure was incredibly painful but I managed to bear through it.
I had also commanded the scales from making sure that nothing brushes against my arm. Which had been tested by Alleus who tried poking at my arm, but a scales would hover just a bit above my arm and stop the impact.
As all four us continued with our training, a servant ca and knocked on the chamber doors.
"What is it." Incus asked.
"It is ti lady hero Incus. If you may open the doors, I have your dress."
The doors then opened and a pale beautiful arm extended with an open palm.
Putting the dress on the open hand, the doors quickly shut.
"I shall await your—"
The door then opened, Incus had quickly changed into a bride’s dress within the matter of seconds.
"Just lead the way."

Following the three, we beat up and stole the clothes of a few nobles along the way so that we could blend in. The side which my bruised arm was on, looked pretty thick, so I made the dragon scales to look like a royal side cape to cover it.
Maneuvering through the palace, we then made it to an open venue where the wedding was to be held.
Incus was pulled to the side until all of the guests have arrived.
Sneaking right outside where she was being held, I couldn’t help but over hear their conversation.
"Yeah can’t possibly agree with this lady Incus... this is nothing but a trap set up by Kanium, he’s likely scheming a devious plan already!" Steinen’s voice rose.
"I already know he is, but still. I have to repay them for their hospitality sohow." Incus’ voice was calm.
"Repay them for their hospitality! They have done nothing but send you to death missions and nitpick at everything you do! They give you no freedom—!" The sound of wood breaking then broke the air, breaking the door.
"Shut up." The voice of Incus then grew serious.
Peering in the small room, Steinen gripped his fist.
"I can’t let you marry Kanium..."
"Why so?" Incus sat back nonchalantly.
Walking a few steps away, Steinen turned his back against her.
"Because... I love you."
"Oh my gosh, he finally did it!" A strand of hair then stood up on Alleus’ head and shook violently before turning into a shape of a heart.
"How brave of him." Lieur comnted.
But sothing weird happened, the entire interaction that had just happened of Steinen confessing rewound. Running towards an open area, I looked up at the draft.
"What just happened, Ring do you know?" Alleus asked.
Staring at her, I clenched my teeth.
"It was deleted. Steinen’s confession doesn’t exist anymore."
I don’t know how we are able to rember the entire interaction despite the fact that it was wiped clean from the novel, it seems that’s only for the characters being written... because why else would we be able to rember master Index.
"That’s obscene! How dare the author do such a thing, it’s a violation of love!" Alleus stopped her foot.
But Steinen’s then changed into sothing else.
"Just, make sure you don’t get yourself into trouble my lady..."
And with that, Steinen walked out of the small room.
"I think this answer is much better than confessing." Said Vertere.
Arguing with each other, Alleus flailed in Vertere’s face who seed uncaring.
"Lady Incus, if you would please."
Standing off of her chair, Incus imdiately put on the veil over her head.
Scurrying, the four of us went to stand by the wedding hall.
Soon, Incus appeared.
The crowed complinted her beauty while so ridiculed the whole ordeal.
"Wow, she’s so beautiful!" A noblewoman whispered.
"I know right? I’m so jealous of her." Another added.
"Despicable, how dare they make the hero marry into royalty, this is an insult to the hero’s legacy." A noble man growled.
Walking down the hall, her hair and the white dress flowed in the wind, complinting her stunning beauty.
Steinen, who stood on the opposite side of us stared but even I could tell that his sadness was unbound.
