He stood there, quietly watching them, a touch of gentle smile in his dark eyes.

Mu Yiliang felt sowhat embarrassed, and quickly straightened her posture.

Xiao Qi sensed sothing, held onto the chair armrest to stand up, and upon seeing Yan Sijue, imdiately exclaid, "It’s you again! Seriously! I’m leaving, you can have Yiliang back."

Her tone was rather dismissive, and after waving to Mu Yiliang, she walked out.

Her belly was already quite big, and her walking appeared sowhat clumsy. Mu Yiliang quickly followed, holding her arm, "Let walk you back."

She glanced at Yan Sijue as she spoke.

The man smiled slightly, "Go ahead, I’ll wait for you here."

Xiao Qi rolled her eyes in annoyance, "I thought you’d try to keep here, alas..."

Mu Yiliang said helplessly, "Xiao Qi..."

"Alright, alright, I’m going to find my man and have so fun!"

...

Mu Yiliang escorted Xiao Qi back to her and Jason’s room. Jason was rushing through a draft in the room, and seeing Mu Yiliang personally bring Xiao Qi back, he quickly ca over to greet them.

Over the past year, Jason’s deanor had beco increasingly composed. Originally a tech-savvy hobody, he had beco a writer, gaining a touch of literary scholarly air. Mu Yiliang knew Xiao Qi loved this cultured bad boy type the most.

These two truly are a perfect match, she thought, exchanging greetings with Jason.

Jason, supporting his wife’s waist, said to Mu Yiliang, "As the months go by, she runs around even more. She listens to no one."

Mu Yiliang spread her hands, signaling helplessness, "You know her personality. If you can’t handle her, there’s no way I can persuade her."

Jason frowned and glanced at Xiao Qi.

Xiao Qi was not convinced, "The fact that I can run ans our daughter is strong and healthy!"

"Yes, yes," Jason said helplessly, rubbing his nose.

Mu Yiliang chuckled, "Both of you get so rest. We’ll see you tomorrow."

"Okay." Jason gave her a serious look, "Yiliang, congratulations."

Her lips curved into a smile, "Thank you."

All those past emotions had long since disappeared with ti. She was glad that the once inexperienced, repressed young man had finally gained freedom and happiness.

Though the carefree youthful days were gone, at least, each of them had attained their own fulfillnt.

So, what about her?

Thinking of the unresolved issues between her and Yan Sijue, she felt a pang of stagnation in her heart.

After waving goodbye to them, Mu Yiliang returned to her own room.

She pushed the door open and imdiately saw Yan Sijue’s profile. He was standing by the desk, looking through sothing.

Those were so sketches and drawings she had made over the past few days during monts of confusion.

Mu Yiliang felt her heart skip a beat, and before she could speak, Yan Sijue had already turned to look at her, seemingly showing no emotion in his dark eyes.

He straightened up and smiled slightly, extending a hand toward her, "Co here."

Mu Yiliang walked over and took his hand, and the man smoothly pulled her into his embrace.

Her sketchbook was still open.

Due to her troubled state of mind, her drawings were mostly chaotic and abstract, even she couldn’t interpret what they ant.

Surely, Yan Sijue can see it too?

Mu Yiliang felt her palms starting to sweat.

Yan Sijue didn’t speak, just intertwined his fingers tightly with hers. Gradually, his breathing beca sowhat labored.

"Yiliang, tomorrow... is our wedding." he said in a low voice. Our wedding
