Xiaoze jumped off the chair, wiping the coffee stain on Yan Sijue with a napkin: "Daddy, how can you be so clumsy."

Yan Sijue took the napkin from his son, acting as if nothing happened: "Just a mont of slip."

"Well, an angel is an angel." Xiaoze sighed with a sense of duty, "I’ll go comfort grandma."

Mu Yiliang couldn’t help but laugh at his appearance.

As Xiaoze went upstairs, Mu Yiliang glanced at Yan Sijue, coincidentally, his eyes also landed on her, dark and unfathomable.

"What’s the matter?" she pretended to be curious.

"It’s nothing." He deeply suppressed that trace of unease, giving a faint smile, "I’m going to change clothes, you have a bit more to eat."

Mu Yiliang nodded obediently.

After he left, Mu Yiliang bowed her head, sipping juice through a straw.

She knew Yan Sijue had begun to suspect.

But she didn’t know, if she revealed the truth now, what step their relationship would take... She was afraid she might lose control of her emotions and, in her excitent, say sothing irreparable.

So, she had to hold on until after the wedding, no matter what.

She closed her eyes.

***********

The day before the wedding.

Today was the day the guests arrived. Since all expenses were covered for those attending the wedding, not a single invitation was wasted, and most people brought their partners, so the actual number of arrivals was close to two hundred.

The manor finally beca lively.

The guests were gradually checking into the guest rooms.

After settling in, Xiao Qi couldn’t wait to find Mu Yiliang.

She rushed over with her big belly, still running fast, making Mu Yiliang’s heart jump!

Now that she rembered the past, seeing Xiao Qi she felt even more emotional and touched.

"Don’t move around, be careful not to hurt my goddaughter!" Mu Yiliang quickly helped her sit down.

Xiao Qi smiled and stroked her belly: "Xiaoze, when your sister is born, let her be your wife, okay?"

Xiaoze’s mouth twitched.

"What, are you disdaining your sister?" Xiao Qi said sternly.

Xiaoze spread his hands helplessly: "I’m afraid my sister will be like Aunt Xiaoqi, with such an explosive temper, I’m not Uncle Jason, I can’t handle it..."

Mu Yiliang couldn’t help but laugh.

Xiao Qi pretended to roll up her sleeves, and Xiaoze quickly dashed away.

A certain pregnant woman said, disgruntled: "That boy’s getting naughtier."

"He’s quite naughty, if your daughter is like you, then it’s fine, otherwise she’ll be bullied by this kid." Mu Yiliang always suspected her son had a philandering nature.

Xiao Qi laughed heartily: "Is this how you badmouth your own son?"

Mu Yiliang smiled slightly, holding Xiao Qi’s hand, her voice suddenly going low: "Xiao Qi, thank you for all these years."

It wasn’t Yan Sijue who stood by her from beginning to end, nor any other man, but Xiao Qi. Whether she was alone studying abroad, or after giving birth to Xiaoze, or after leaving Yan Sijue, Xiao Qi was there by her side, never absent when she needed her most.

Xiao Qi was startled, then smiled, opening her arms: "Co, give a hug."

Mu Yiliang chuckled, leaned down to hug her, carefully avoiding her belly.

"You’re so silly, if I didn’t look out for you, you’d be eaten alive by soone! But, soon you won’t need anymore." She sighed softly, "You and Yan Sijue must be happy."

Mu Yiliang felt her throat choke up a little, she softly humd in agreent, and when she looked up, she saw Yan Sijue’s tall figure.
