He had already walked up to them, yet Uncle Robert still ignored him, making Xiaoze quite discontent.
Robert seed to only then notice him and showed a surprised expression, "Xiaoze, what are you doing here? What happened?"
Xiaoze flashed an impeccable smile, "Oh, nothing. I just wanted to co see you."
"Is that so..." Robert smiled aningfully and then turned to the little girl, "Let’s call it a day. I’ll continue telling you the story tomorrow."
The little girl looked montarily confused, but she didn’t object. Instead, she nodded obediently, "Thank you, uncle."
After speaking, she held onto the back of the front seat and jumped down from her spot.
Xiaoze quietly thought, although the little girl couldn’t see, her movents were quite nimble.
Then, a woman dressed as a maid ca forward intending to pick her up, but Xiaoze suddenly blocked in front of the little girl.
The maid imdiately stopped, her eyes widened, showing a hint of nervousness, "Ada?"
She thought it was the maid who accompanied her.
"It’s ." Xiaoze said, "What’s your na?"
The little girl seed puzzled for a mont but then smiled, "Are you the brother from beside the creek that day?"
Xiaoze was delighted she rembered him and nodded, "That’s right, it’s ."
"Oh." She hesitated for a mont, "My na is..."
"Alice, you should go back now." Robert suddenly interrupted her, lifting her into the maid’s arms.
Xiaoze watched as the maid carried the little girl away.
Only then did Robert turn around, standing tall as he looked at Xiaoze, "What are you up to, kid?"
Xiaoze suddenly felt a bit guilty but still wore a smile, "Didn’t you hope I would make more friends with people my age? I think she’s great."
"She’s a girl!" Robert emphasized.
"Why can’t girls be friends, too?" Xiaoze accused him righteously, "Uncle Robert, you’re so old-fashioned!"
Robert was montarily speechless from anger.
"By the way, her na is Alice?" Xiaoze asked.
"That’s none of your business!" Robert picked him up, "So young and already thinking of wooing girls...! You’re sothing else! Co back with !"
Xiaoze was furious! He almost wanted to bite his neck!
Alice... he silently repeated the na in his heart.
"Xiaoze, do you want to get to know her?"
"I’m just a bit curious," Xiaoze replied disdainfully.
"If you promise you’ll never bully her or hurt her, I’ll let you be friends."
"Where did that co from! Do I need your permission to make friends?" Xiaoze was very dissatisfied.

Xiaoze rolled his eyes in anger.

Robert gave a aningful smile, "You better rember that!"
"...Yeah, yeah, I got it!" Xiaoze replied impatiently.
She’s just a little girl; he’s just curious to talk to her a bit. He’s not going to pester her every day, let alone bully or hurt her!
It’s ridiculous!
He’s still sowhat angry, inexplicably feeling like Uncle Robert had set him up.
